How to clean a Metal Thermos

- Found myself an old Stainless Steel Thermos, and although these are extremely handy, it was due for a good scrubbing.
2 tablespoons Vinegar and 1 tablespoon Baking soda go into the Thermos for every cup the Thermos holds.
Boil up enough water to fill the Thermos, and pour that into the Thermos with the vinegar and baking soda.
Let it sit for 10 minutes, then using a bottle brush, scrub out the inside until the build up has come off. Rinse it out, and hang it upside down to dry.

I used your video instructions to clean a 64oz yeti. It was very black from daily coffee fill ups over a couple of years that Icould never get out with other methods. It worked great! There was just a bit of hard black crud stuck to the bottom yet. I used a wooden spoon and a sos pad to get that out. It looks like brand new again. Thanks for sharing!

Does the smell of vinegar go away after rinsing with warm water? I hate that smell, but I have a weird spot of residue in my stainless steel water bottle.

Can apple cider vinegar be used ?
2 heaping tablespoons of Oxi-Clean fill to top with water let sit overnight. Don't waste your time with cleaning vinegar, liquid bleach baking soda and the like. I did all that and it didn't work, I can vouch for the Oxi-Clean. TheReaper!
Try it on your cupboards and behind your sink.
Might clean them too.
