I’ve dabbled in recreating this part of the theme before (1:23), and I just realized the notes are arranged in a way that perfectly matches Pucci’s story. It rises and rises (he ascends to Heaven) and then it immediately descends at a rapid rate in the last few notes (he is defeated).
It's not surprising to hear that it's literally the most replayed part of any Pucci theme !!! (Excluding MiH) Yugo Kanno either pays real close attention to the story or was told by the director to include that kind of direction, he did the same thing with Clock Works where it was just a melody going up one step at a time in D minor, while he was rising one step at a time to the shuttle. I'm genuinely really interested to see where he goes with Funny Valentine's theme, there always is a very cool connection between the characters and their themes so nice work picking that up!!
Man this is like literally Revelation theme, its literally perfect for the end of everything. Well done , this is indeed heaven DIO and Pucci strived for! 💛✨✝️🖤💜⏱️🌠🌄
