Thats very into character actually. Jason has been very creative in his methods of killing people and quite a few of them are him getting his hands on you. XD
As a reigndog player is see his slow start up as a prime opportunity for using projectiles to counter him, also putting up a lightning shard near a wall to prevent his wall combos, im excited
Same here, plus reindog had some REALLY cheap/free combos against heavy characters that I think could really work well in this MU as well. So excited to get back into the game
Jason does seem busted up close but at the same time, 1) HE'S JASON, 2) that's his trade off, he's got slow start ups and has to cover the distance and feels more defensive. Batman, Reindog, & Mage characters are going to take advantage of his size and lack of mitigation to combo tf out of him.
I think that's where basically unstoppable from mkx comes in his rage he's not put it hit animation for one hit and close the gap that way so getting through batarang and missile from bugs might be a bit out playable

Jason’s teleport allowing him to appear behind where a character is on screen and then F their world up is so unbelievably in character for him that’s it’s hilarious 🤣
hes pretty close to brawhalla spear characters, hes got the poke, but also the "launch up while spinning the spear above him" move, and also a move where he slams the spear down and creates a shockwave. he also seems to have some sort of charge up like shaggy. he has another move where hes crying and the tears act as a 2-sided attack shield basically. also an upwards jab, a kick, swinging the spear down for a bigger attack hitbox but less range than the poke i believe. he also has some sort of body slam / belly flop attack which possibly has the projectile forcefield. also seems to have a dash with the spear extended as like a charge attack. there might be more but thats what i saw in the gameplay trailer for him
Also using the monsterous side step in air allows you to attack with out the stall. I use it in air or after a jump while pulling up to force me to spawn in air allowing me to hit instantly
He needs it because of his big frame and slow startup hes gonna get bodied in most matchups. Arya was cooking me but once I landed a solid 5 hits she donzo lmao.

Ima stay with Arya until samurai jack is confirmed and released but I see I’m gonna have a rough time against new players running Jason and Joker. Jason especially seems like a big counter for quick movement type of characters with that uppercut that grabs
After essentially 1v2ing with Jason since my teammate maybe got 3 knockouts in 17 games against a Tom and Jerry and Lebron *BALLS* he is very fun and effective
Jason with the teleport behind ability is untouchable lol. Once you do the third hit throw of his attack you can tele behind them and hit them again and ping pong for a very long time. If they try to counter by attacking behind themselves you make distance and can teleport in front of them instead. I use the teleport more then I hit them..... and its insane almost always untouchable lol
I use it as a counter if I see them go into a heavy they can't stop the animation to its an instant punish. I also use it when I knock them in a position they can't act quickly in like when I throw them into a wall and they have to wait for the bounce back. It can't be punished as easy as you say if you dodge in the opposite direction when you port. Its been the best so far lol
Fucking nice seeing this game blow up I played it in the beginning got taken down for a year now it’s back 🔥 the only complain I have is the movement and the camera zoom in I’m not a fan especially with the slow movement now I wanna be agile asf like before

Me too usually, but this dude is just so much fun to play. The new system allows for more thought out gameplay so even if you play slower you can really take the time to think of options and I love it.
I doubt it would even be good tbh lol. I only played WW, Jason and Joker. Played against them, harley, banana and gizmo through the whole closed demo. Not to mention I didn't get to try all perks. Maybe I will think about it and title it "way too early unfinished tier list" and see if people dont get upset lol
To be fair, he was bullied as a child so he’s just getting giving those people a taste of their own medicine and besides half of those people on the roster are villains and Jason’s basically an antihero

No its still there but it functions more like smash. Where enemies still retain the same hitstun but the knockback and damage is reduced
