Judging by the gameplay and comparisons to olimar who I already don't really take for a rushdown, LeBron doesn't seem like the the fast combo machine that most rushdowns are Plus most of his faster combos seem like something to come out of characters like Rob or Peach who don't exactly fit "rushdown" either despite their good combo game
Hearing that unintentionally Bowser, my main in Smash, and Garnet, my main in Multiversus, are the closest matches to eachother felt like an insane aura read! spot on!

You're half right actually! The servers for the games beta did indeed close. The full game is set to release on May 28th though with tons of changes and improvements. There's a relatively large amount of players eager for the games re-release and I hope I can help that community grow and raise awareness/interest for the game by putting out the best content o can!

Since the game is extremely well balanced, they are just bad and not complete unplayable trash like bowser and pichu in melee and any normal player will have no problem playing with them :)

Yeah I think Multiversus has very unique characters that function completely differently in the engine alone. But, I do think there's inherently going to be a lot of overlap so I wanted to make content that helped introduce players to some characters in a way that might make a little more sense.
IDK why you would hate that? Archetype comparisons are used for every fighting game (and other games outside of fighters too now). Smash being the first and biggest platform fighter means that it's the baseline to which others are compared, making their characters the standard archetypes. Same goes for Street fighter and 2D fighters, they were the first and biggest so they set the archetypes everyone else modified for their games. It 's why we have terms like shoto, grappler, zoner, etc. It all came from comparing them to SF characters and just evolved from there. Ult having so many different characters to fit not only the core base archetypes but also so many sub categories and combinations makes it pretty much the easiest to compare characters with. If you were to use Melee for example the core archetypes might be covered but the comparisons would be less accurate because there just isn't a character for many sub categories and combinations.

What makes me appreciate Multiversus as a platfighter has to be the uniqueness of it. Even in this video when trying to find parallels it seems to be more trying to find general gameplay rather than sharing moves; other plat fighters like Rivals of Aether and Nick all star brawl 2 tend to have direct parallels to smash characters through their design and moveset, but in multiversus the kits even when similar are not directly comparable such as how Batman while compared to shiek still has his win unique strengths such as his mobility through the grappling hook and glide and doesn’t struggle to kill thanks to his strong brawling techniques. Can’t wait for the games relaunch and good video.

Imo finn looks more like hero He has the store thing, which echoes with the spells menu, he strugles to kick oponents from above platforms (hero's up air is hot garbage and while his up tilt is okay, still) I would say the recovery is more like a link thing, for obvious reasons, and his combos are nothing to compare from each other, but the have smiliarities
The Jerry management part of Tom & Jerry’s Gameplan kinda reminds me of Rosaluma. And the video made a nod to Kirby when building up to Finn’s smash counterpart reveal being Little Mac, so maybe look into Tom & Jerry and Finn
I agree, we need more small pink cuties to be represented. As a kirby kinda guy, i guess i want lots of jumps and some very light attacks mixed with some very heavy damage dealers like a massive flaming hammer.

I personally think that Jake is most related to Kirby, because of his item-transform down special that reflects projectiles, his eat ability, and his mace is kind of like Kirby's sword in a way.
I was always a young/toon link main since melee, in melee I play young link and in the others I play toon link, I always finded his technical play style realy cool, while theyre not identical, since multiversus came outh I was a finn main, his airs and grounded sword atacks remind me a lot of toon link, plus his projectile that, while not being even CLOSE to how usefull and powerfull the bomb is, is still a great projectile to use in certain situations. But in the end of the day, I just main toon link cause of Wind Waker and Finn cause of Adventure Time
Additionally, I was almost expecting Tom and Jerry to be like the Ice Climbers, its just how I think of them though since I play aggressively with all characters in both games
And I wanna say that the closest to the Iron Giant is R.O.B, funny combos with projectiles into spin, and GREAT but vulnerable recovery/ just get taken off the stage again makes sense to me
Also I'd say Stripe is more of a Megaman to me......... please forgive me if that sounds wrong, and Raindog is Online Zelda if you think about it, and that it from me, I hope you think these are good alternatives, those are just the characters I can think of
I always think King Dedede is LeBron, both relaying on their projectiles and have a great combo when positioned right and the fact that they can get their projectile very fast is similar. I'm a King Dedede main and I felt natural on LeBron.

I main duck hunt in smash and I tried out Multiversus, played during beta, stopped because I didn’t feel connected with any of the characters. I saw this video and said “I wonder if duck hunt links to any characters” watched, got up to Marvin, didn’t know he was even in the game but then he got paired with Duck Hunt and I immediately got back on Multiversus and let’s just say he’s my main in Multiversus now.. 😂
I was actually surprised that there was a Multiversus equivalent for Little Mac, but its pleasant surprise. He's my main in Smash, so I'll give Finn a try when MV releases
Thank you so much I've been waiting for the return of Multiversus and I only play 2 characters in Smash and I'm surprised that of all characters on Smash, Marvin and Duck Hunt have similar game plans.
10:50 I think in this case it is entirely the fact that Villager/Velma's play style works so much better in MV. The 2v2 style of play allows their partner to rack up and distract while Velma can get their set ups in, making their small picks at the opponent all the more deadly and overall useful.

I think the Reindog/Samus comparison is even more apt because both of those characters do have fairly strong boxing tools as well as zoning tools. Reindog's f-air is literally the same as Samus' f-air, being a giant wall of drag-down hitboxes.
that actually makes a lotta sense i mained byleth in ssbu and jake in multiversus! (also played mewtwo in ssbu and have played a lot of garnet and harley quinn in multiversus but not as much relation there)
I've been super burnt out on SSBU, and I'm super excited for MVS to drop especially if some of my favourite characters of all time like Godzilla or Luffy are added, I also loved the floaty and smooth gameplay this game had
Personally I feel like Tom and Jerry is more like Rosalina with that extra lil dude that sync attacks with u. And Jake feels like Kirby with the down special and the swallow.
batman should've gotten his grappling hook instantly-teleport-to-and-hit-the-opponent move from that one dc fighter game on the snes that i played like twice
main one I'm mixed on is iron giant, if anything I'd attribute IG to dedede, his grab is much more like dedede's neutral special and almost always forces disadvantage on to his opponents along with his up tilt projectile helping with that advantage without needing to go to ledge. On top of that with the recent showcase of his dash attack that is basically the same as dedede's i feel like that comparison is basically set in stone, overall though pretty good video with most of the others being pretty agreeable for the most part
Billy & Mandy need to be a second duo character to fit with Tom & Jerry! Billy & Mandy’s moveset would be where Mandy carries Billy everywhere on her back and they use projectiles and sudden meteor hits, exactly like another inseparable duo in Smash; Banjo & Kazooie. Also I need to see Mandy use Breegul Bash on Billy.

I am a kingKRool main and I play iron giant all the time and the fact that he said kingKRool mains are good with iron giants. I just find that crazy.

I always think King Dedede is LeBron, both relaying on their projectiles and have a great combo when positioned right and the fact that they can get their projectile very fast is similar. I'm a King Dedede main and I felt natural on LeBron.

I main duck hunt in smash and I tried out Multiversus, played during beta, stopped because I didn’t feel connected with any of the characters. I saw this video and said “I wonder if duck hunt links to any characters” watched, got up to Marvin, didn’t know he was even in the game but then he got paired with Duck Hunt and I immediately got back on Multiversus and let’s just say he’s my main in Multiversus now.. 😂

I have completely different mains in these games. I recently got Multiversus and my main in Multiversus is Shaggy and in Smash it's Ganondorf

10:50 I think in this case it is entirely the fact that Villager/Velma's play style works so much better in MV. The 2v2 style of play allows their partner to rack up and distract while Velma can get their set ups in, making their small picks at the opponent all the more deadly and overall useful.

I think the Reindog/Samus comparison is even more apt because both of those characters do have fairly strong boxing tools as well as zoning tools.
Reindog's f-air is literally the same as Samus' f-air, being a giant wall of drag-down hitboxes.
that actually makes a lotta sense i mained byleth in ssbu and jake in multiversus! (also played mewtwo in ssbu and have played a lot of garnet and harley quinn in multiversus but not as much relation there)

I definitely went into this expecting my smash mains (Dr. Mario and Bowser Jr) to not be mentioned lol. Still a good video though.
main one I'm mixed on is iron giant, if anything I'd attribute IG to dedede, his grab is much more like dedede's neutral special and almost always forces disadvantage on to his opponents along with his up tilt projectile helping with that advantage without needing to go to ledge. On top of that with the recent showcase of his dash attack that is basically the same as dedede's i feel like that comparison is basically set in stone, overall though pretty good video with most of the others being pretty agreeable for the most part

Billy & Mandy need to be a second duo character to fit with Tom & Jerry! Billy & Mandy’s moveset would be where Mandy carries Billy everywhere on her back and they use projectiles and sudden meteor hits, exactly like another inseparable duo in Smash; Banjo & Kazooie. Also I need to see Mandy use Breegul Bash on Billy.
