Does it record to your phone without live streaming so you can send the video to friends let's say through whats app ? Or does the app for the camera have a record setting? X thanks in advance
Having battled Wire Cast and OBS, I can appreciate this. I think the prior are fine in a static setup, once working, but this could be great for simplicity or on the road. Simple is better sometimes. Thanks Phil.
Here in the studio we use an ATEM hardware system, which although not simple, is MUCH simpler than battling with software and computers for streaming and filming... and as for WireCast... all I have to say is NOOOOO!!!!
@@digitaldjtips hahaha, nice, well I’m semi-pro in both now 😹 but OBS, being free, plus about $200 in basic hardware I/o devices does get it done, reliably being key word. Keep it poppin friends 🤙🏽🖤🕺🔊
I think this is a cool idea, but you can buy an iPhone 11 for under $400 and it can be used with continuity on your Mac. You get a lot more with an iPhone 11. I think the best live streaming setup is this: iPhone 11 or higher with a MacBook Air running OBS. Send the audio from mixer to your laptop using an RCA to USB sound card (I use Rode Wireless Pro). This setup means your camera can be anywhere without wires needing to run to it.
What is the audio quality like for this? Over the years, I have found that audio quality is often the most significant shortcoming in streaming products, including the esteemed ATEM with its unbalanced mini-jack input. In my opinion, nothing surpasses a high-quality audio interface or mixer connected to a computer.
How is the camera for nightclub work? Have you tried the wireless emeet cameras? I bought three emeet cameras that are 1080p that are supposed to last up to 8 hours on one battery charge. I managed to get them to switch through Virtual DJ via usb-c cables but, my laptop is lacking one and the Virtual DJ has a small issue with the switching but, it can be done. Each of the emeet cameras have a Sony cms sensor to help in dark areas like night clubs. It also has an AI feature that can be used via the emeet app that can follow a person moving around in front of the camera. The emeet camera can also record manually with the push of a button on the back of it. I really haven't tested all of the features on my camera but, I know they are there. The cost of the 1080p cameras are fairly cheap under $200 USD a piece. They are even cheaper with a discount code. Give the emeet cameras a try and see if you like those better.
I like that this has options, it's not just a 1 trick pony, Being able to just hook it up via usb is a huge plus and means it isn't simply relegated to its main feature. That said, the Audio quality is a little bit potato.
You can buy a used or unlocked Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra for so much cheaper and better quality all around. This is too expensive in this day with Cellphones and Web Cameras, most of the streaming sites don't even allow you more than 1080p when you're live anyways.
OK is about as high an accolade you could give to the quality of this things output. I would rather have the hassle (and quality) of something more 'traditional'.
Seems like they copied the Mevo Start, gave it better zoom but worse audio. I would stay with the Mevo Start! The Mevo is horrible in low light. But, outside of that, that's the better option. I'm not impressed with this outside of the 10x zoom.
@@Aves_1The Mevo is not great in low light but none of these are. But just off the size of this thing I'd rather take the Mevo. This is a bad copy of the Mevo.
I wouldn’t use any of these cameras for their audio. I would only use the camera and use audio from an interface or my external mixer when streaming online.
I genuinely do not understand watching a DJ do their thing unless it's someone like Craze who is visually entertaining. I'll bang a mix up, but standing there just mixing & recording the video... 😬😬😬
Look, I’m just gonna be direct… there is ZERO excuse for the audio to be THAT crap in 2024. My cell phone could do better 15 years ago. So yeah, I suppose if you’re just live streaming for “play,” and you really need / want good VIDEO without complex hardware, here you go. But for DJs? I dunno, if I’m streaming your set it’s because I want to hear the music, and I wouldn’t want to listen to this for more than 20 seconds.
How does this simplify things if the thing that's most important (the audio), is worse than listening to a call centre hold music in 1995. "A little bit disappointing..." Come on Phil, this is clearly just sponsored content and you're sugar coating it. You're better than this mate.

That’s cool as always the Goat on point. 🙌💪 thanks phill

Just use a secondary cell phone and obs. You can record the session and keep the video for later editing. Its cheaper
That sounds smart, but doesn’t work in reality. Never use your personal device in a production.
@davidlandrum if its a phone dedicated to recording performances, is it really any more of a personal device than the camera?
I do the same, iphone quality camera is brilliant..
@@Aves_1 No.
if I were doing professional production of course I wouldn't use an iPhone. I'm only streaming when I DJ. anything above an iPhone 8 will do for that.

Phone cameras are definitely hard to beat for quality etc

This camera has separate audio in, so Id assume youd use that instead of the built in mics
you can hear it in the video, we describe it as "OK".
@@Aves_1 I was referring to Stereo audio (music)
@@digitaldjtips Agreed.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with them
GoPro with the media mod is pretty good.
Ooooh, we'll look into that
Yh, gopro stream to fb, yt, etc. Less Ig. And is pretty fine the audio.
Media mod is only for certain models of GoPro sadly 😔
My hero 5 won’t.
For me, I stream using the irig stream or irig stream pro with iPhone. cheap and easy.
Yeah, that's a good way to go!
We have a similar camera selling, could you pls help to create a review video like this? We contacted you few times, but no news yet.
Thanks!
Welcome!

Yeah, we are curious about whether that is something to do with the config but we couldn't spot any options to improve it.
Could you plug an audio interface into the mic pick up rather than a mic?
Not sure if audio can be fed in via USB
I’m a bit out of the loop when it comes to streaming DJ sets. Which apps/services allow you to stream your DJ set with copyright issues? Thanks.
With copyright issues ?. You mean without copyright issues. The only one to use without copyright issues is mixcloud live.
mixcloud
Mixcloud and Twitch
@@DjWickedWaltwhat about tik tok?
@@PooFace2030 forgot about that one but you have to have at least 1000 subscribers to go live.
Interesting
👍👍👍👍👍👍
boy is the audio bad ... wtf
interesting idea but the video and especially audio quality is insufficient.

Yeah 1080 is the sweet spot for streaming... and you're right, phone cameras are really excellent nowadays
Action 5 is out now and does the same thing wayy better
If there is enough interest we may look at the Osmo and other similar solutions at some point.
Audio quality doesn’t sound great.
Seems like the main advantage is for someone who doesn’t use OBS or another computer for live streaming.
Yes, simplicity is the thing
OK is about as high an accolade you could give to the quality of this things output. I would rather have the hassle (and quality) of something more 'traditional'.
Yes, you do appear to trade quality for convenience here.
Seems like they copied the Mevo Start, gave it better zoom but worse audio. I would stay with the Mevo Start! The Mevo is horrible in low light. But, outside of that, that's the better option. I'm not impressed with this outside of the 10x zoom.
Im a bit confused; which one has better low light performance?
@@Aves_1The Mevo is not great in low light but none of these are. But just off the size of this thing I'd rather take the Mevo. This is a bad copy of the Mevo.
They both have small sensors which limits the low light performance

In this instance though that would definitely defeat the object of an all-in-one solution.
video quality is JUST acceptable, but the audio quality is not acceptable imo
I was surprised even at 128 that it sounded as it did, we ran several tests and this was the best we could get it to sound
I genuinely do not understand watching a DJ do their thing unless it's someone like Craze who is visually entertaining.

It's often about community/interaction as much as just watching, ie two way, not one way.
