@randywhite3947 LOLLL Dalton???? Pierce was one of the best bonds. Unfortunately, like Moore, and like Dalton to be fair - he was saddled with some of the worst movies/scripts. Goldeneye and maybe Tomorrow Never Dies are the only ones worth watching.
@randywhite3947 I don't know it. I loved Dalton, but the guy looked like he was balding in LTK - bad look. He had no chemistry with Carey Lowell in that film. And in his two films - granted they gave him less in the 2nd one - he butchered all his one-liners. Yes he was a complete bad ass. A very faithful fleming bond. Those first 15 minutes of TLD he looks like a wolf, he is holding the biggest gun we've ever seen bond handle, and you basically forget about roger moore. But Pierce had all the bad ass gruffness of a Dalton but he also had the humor and charm of connery and moore.
KayfabeCandyass Absolutely right. But a shout out to Martin Campbell who directed both Goldeneye and Casino Royale. His vision resurrected the franchise with both movies.
My favorite James Bond. He fits the character well: suave, smooth-talking, cocky, witty yet cavalier and deadly but with an underlying gentleness behind his emotional armor. Unfortunately, they didn't write great plots for his Bond films.
hell, im a straight male and i think so too. My mom had the BIGGEST crush on him back in the day. I was watching GoldenEye on VHS once not long after it came out. My mom sat down and watched it with me, it's the only time i remember her ever watching a James Bond movie with me
if you ever read out of the books. Brosnan actually fits the description pretty spot on of James Bond. Only difference i believe brosnan is a bit taller and if i remember correctly James Bond has green eyes and brosnan has bright blues
I just found out a couple months ago that he's actually Irish (before he said so in this interview). I've known who he was since I was little and his accent sounds English so I thought he was English the whole time lol it blows my mind. PS. Goddamn, he is fine as hell and even today as old as he is, he's still hot!
James Bond for me is a weird thing, my favorite Bond film doesn't have my favorite Bond in it etc. But one thing is for sure, Pierce Brosnan is the ultimate James Bond!
Pierce Brosnan gets a lotta shit for the movies he was in, especially compared to Daniel Craig's re-booted vision. And it's completely unfair. #GoldenEye remains one of the very best Bonds of all time, and it's because it was grittier, more grounded, with the personal stakes that made Craig's Bond so appealing. If Eon Productions and MGM had stayed with the style established in GoldenEye and hadn't completely fucked up the screenplays for Brosnan's last three films, I think Pierce's legacy with the character is A LOT more secure than it is. Don't forget, Brosnan wasn't the weak-link in those films, he was their lone advantage. Because of him, each Brosnan film in the franchise out-grossed the one before. Even more to that point -- GoldenEye broke the James Bond box office record, so you do the math! #BrosnanBond
except casino royale other craig's bond movies are garbage. Casino is good because of good story and filming. Only when even guys like guys then is handsome NOT the women

He said the last few were a bit wobbly and inarticulate, but the last few specially living daylights and licence to kill were amazingly underrated but outstanding..
I liked living daylights not so much License to Kill. According to some GoldenEye was the first good Bond movie since For Your Eyes Only in 1981. Interesting side note, James Brolin had a screen test for Bond in the early 80s but they called Moore back bc Eon didn't want to risk a new Bond with Connery doing Never Say Never Again.
I approached him in the street for an autograph when I was 12-years-old in LA while he was filming Remington Steal. He was gracious and patient and I still remember him. However, his costar was rude and brushed me off.
Goldeneye is one of the best Bond movies, too bad they couldn't keep the sequels up to that level, and it's a shame Brosnan didn't get the opportunity when he was younger...
Timothy Dalton is my favorite James Bond. But Pierce Brosnan was cool. Even a straight guy like me has to admit he looks quite handsome. He also looks a lot like Bruce Wayne from the Animated Series and Sterling Archer. This is also one of the coolest celebrity/talk show interviews ever.
Brosnan Will be My 007 Forever Whenever I heard of James Bond I had the Picture of Him In My mind....Just Bit Sad that After Goldeneye He didnt recieve Dark and Thrilling Script.....
Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan share that old school coolness as Bond, while the movie was great Lazenby was meh, Moore was the funny one while Craig and Dalton are the stone cold badasses closer to the novel version of 007...
But All I'm going to do is watch them that's it. I have no interest in being James Bond. James Bond is a FICTITIOUS character. There's no James Bond in real life or Superman 😂
Great looking guy. I always appreciated that he recognises that he's Irish even though he did not grow up there and he does not talk like it. How good looking was / is he though. It's unfair

Micheal Currie It’s because a big part of “acting” is bringing your own personality to the role which he already possessed which is why he was selected for the role! That’s why some actors are “right” for the part and others are “not” right.
I thought Dalton was very underrated as Bond. However, GoldeEye really took Bond to another level at the box office and Pierce himself was a great Bond.

This man saved James Bond franchise.
Yes he did!
People love to forget this, or they're just too young and stupid to know. Either way, the truth must be told!
Yep him and Martin Campbell, but Martin did it twice.
Saved it and then sunk it 😂
the last film he did was abysmal though
Goldeneye saved Bond. Brosnan can claim credit for bringing the genre back on the agenda.
Damn right.
It's sad that people didn't take to Dalton, because he really is one of the best Bonds ever.
So right!
KayfabeCandyass Absolutely right. But a shout out to Martin Campbell who directed both Goldeneye and Casino Royale. His vision resurrected the franchise with both movies.
