Yeah man his tackles are brutal
While it’s a predictable team I think that’s a good thing. Too often new coaches want to stamp their mark on a team and make too many changes to teams which can be unsettling (eg. Eddie Jones). I think Razor has made very safe selections to try and get his first win on the board. But I think this will still be tighter than the book makers are saying but we’ll see.
As an England fan, I’m very nervous. I want to believe that we can build on the end of the 6 Nations but NZ’s record on their turf speaks for itself and now they have a coach who achieved a truly remarkable record with the Crusaders.
We MIGHT sneak a win in Dunedin, but can’t see us winning in Auckland. So long as we don’t get smashed and make NZ work hard for any victory, that’s good enough for me at the moment.

Going to be a great game. Two key match ups is Savea v Earl. Absolute monsters with what they produce in 80mins. On pure X Factor Tele’a v Feyi Waboso is going to be exciting!!
England fan here. Man for man the ABs are better. England are on the up though, if we could nick one test that would be huge.
I got nothing against Razor his record speaks for itself, but If England gets up and wins, the Razor fan boy club will still blame Fozzy and Cane 😂😂😂
England will target Sevu Reece all day not good under the high ball - average player
As an AB fan it's interesting that both teams lost to SA by 1 point so there shouldn't be that much in it, if England are going to win a test Dunedin would be the one

Good decision that Steven P has the 15 jersey, we know what BB does and Steven should be rewarded for his super season. Plus we need to see Steven under some pressure when we are not 12+ points up on the opposition.
Great summary. It will be a battle of attrition. England will try to slow the game down at the breakdown and put heaps of pressure on our 9 and 10 and pepper Perofeta with up and unders..
I never had Perofeta in my prediction. But obviously Razor and the coaching staff see something in Perofeta that no one else does. I think the majority of people had Beauden Barrett at FB.
Either way, this is a solid team. AB's 13+

I love watching the All Blacks play but it just feels weird to cheer for two international teams. So that’s why I watch the All Blacks but cheer for the Blues players 😂

He's super flaky, and they're going to trust him as a last line of defense with his 'tackling'. Yikes. If he makes a mistake early, watch his entire game fall apart. He can't seem to put errors behind him. It just continues our 'every 10 is a 15' obsession sadly.

@@ManaBlack208 Well I'm from the Blues area, but I don't rate Perofeta. I don't rate Beauden as a 15 either, but since we seem averse to selecting actual fullbacks, that's what we're stuck with. Beauden is clearly there in case Perofeta starts to have his usual melt-down.
This is going to be a baptism of real fire, Perofeta at full-back is a surprise

Suspect Dunedin will be close, could go either way, even a draw - but Eden Park will be NZ Day (I'm English). Big one for us is how the team continue to improve and build under Borths. Fascinated by the Smith/Mackenzie comparison on the pitch - two similar players
Yeah the All Blacks record at Eden Park is pretty incredible - you'd think Dunedin is the more likely one for your boys - but we'll see!
Happy for Finau, a bit gutted for not seeing a few interesting picks, like a Williams - Tosi props, or a Wallace Sititi off the bench too. Totally surprised by Perofeta as I haven’t seen much of him this season (only watch the highlights of SR as I’m up north). I guess he’s gone conservative as he wants to win this understandably.

As an England supporter we're hoping we can catch you guys cold in this first test, retirements, new coaching ticket haven't played together since the RWC final.
English front row is a real weakness hence why Borthwick is keeping Dan Cole and Joe Marler around and has tended to rotate each starting with a weaker scrummager. Jamie George is really slowing down Theo Dan is far more dynamic and his darts are nearly as good.
We also miss an out and out 12. Could see the way Borthwicks England play evolve over the 6N. Attack is coming on so under cover at the weekend hope for an entertaining game.

Don't hate him at all. He's just not ( from what I have seen), a safe pair of hands. His kicking in the early part of the Super season was crap ( I'm a Blues fan), and Harry Plummer really came into his own when Perrofetta wasn't playing. He just gives too much ball away. However, as an AB fan, I want him to go well on Saturday.

just as long Finau tackles low & below shoulder height with arms wrapping around the body, Finau will make a very strong impact for 60 minutes and more

That's a great looking lineup. Only change I would have made is to start Beauden. He was a standout in the RWC. But will be interesting to see hou Perofeta goes. Really hope Razor tries to stick to our best 15 game in all top tier games.
Yeah Perofeta missed chunk of the season but started at 15 in the final
I'd like to see Beauden starting, but my guess is that since he played in Japan this year they are working him in more slowly.
Beauden is just a placeholder until jordan is back and hopefully helping love feel comfortable and find his feet. As soon as love is confident perofeta will be toast, probably bring kneepkens in as soon as jordan is back too. Those 2 are just there for experience and a handover to the young guns
@@atapene Dunno man. How many years have people been questioning BB. He's always been world class and was one of our best players in the RWC. But yeah, Jordan is imo the best attacking player in world rugby. I'd personally like to see him and Telea on the wing and keep BB at 15. But like you said, Jordan and 15 and 2x game breaking wingers would be explosive as hell.

As an England fan I think we have to hope that we've got more cohesion in Dunedin and can get that first win on the board. As that AB squad gets more familiar with their systems though I think it's going to be tough for us to get any more results unless everyone has a great game.

Should be a really good game, obviously you guys (ABs) are favs, but I reckon we'll make a good show of ourselves, front row and midfield will probably cost us in the end, but the back row battle should be insane.
First test i will be taking the $5.50 on England.. that way i will be happy either way 😂😂 just a little concerned having no warm up and All Blacks havent been flash in dunedin since the move from carrisbrook. Lucky to get home late against Aussie in the last couple.

It shows you exactly how the land lies, as the English media are only talking in terms of stealing a win in the first test owing to rust. I don’t believe that the new coaching set up will prove that decisive either way. The forwards coach has been in place for a while now. I reckon Razor will just strip game plan to super simple.
My prediction is watch out for physical carries up the guts from the ABs.

They are always pretty close, even in NZ. First two Tests in 2014 were close. Last time in Twickenham was a draw, which they actually could have won, they chose to draw, then before that was an England battering of us in Japan. I’m keeping myself grounded as a fan! Underhill has our number in that back row.

As an England fan - in a head-to-head you wouldn't put many England players into a combined side. Maybe Itoje, Underhill, Furbank.
England have had longer together though, know what they're about and have a lot of players on the up. Looking forward to this one.
