I would love to give that a go! Just the 12k from check point 1 - 2 though 🥵 and take on Anna’s time. She is awesome and I love her honesty in her videos...very refreshing to see. She also is the person who has inspired me to start running again and I have to say that I am loving life and getting out there running again. It wasn’t planned but I did a half marathon distance today and it was great. I just kept on going...1 more mile....just another 1...10miles done eh???? might as well do 13.1miles 🥵 So......Which way to the Peak District????
I did a 10 mile mountain trail run in 1:58 a couple of weeks ago. So I don't think I could take him. I had a 5k cross country race this morning and did in 26:38 no mountains but good trails.
There is this magical quality about Anna that is so friendly, inspiring and likeable. She's like the friend who tells you "you can do this!" And you believe her.
I really like the Anna-videos. She is more of an example than elite athletes. With much respect, she is more of an everyday person and easier to identify with. Easier to convince ourselves to take on challenges I believe. If Kipchoge runs the marathon sub 2hrs I say that is an impossible task for me. If Anna runs it within 2.5h I say I might be able to do it as well. Never stop being a motivation Anna! :)
Anna is so inspiring. Her love of running comes through and keeps me going when I’m finding it hard. I’m a beginner and so want to love it as much as she does!
Hiya lovely people from the Running Channel. Anna mentioning the loss of fitness because of lockdown made me think that a video on fitness in recovered corona patients might be an interesting idea. I myself was ill with the virus in April and returning to running has been a humbling experience
Same here. Mine turned to pneumonia and oh my word, humbling is such a good descriptor. I am so grateful though for the health and strength that I had before getting ill as it definitely helped me get through it. My lung capacity is so reduced now despite chest x-rays showing that they're clear. It is a challenge but we will get back to fitness and strong running (maybe just a bit slower than before!) ☺️
I'm interested. You are the first two runners I've heard from that have had the virus. First of all very sorry. Second, it is a fascinating topic for discussion, how the body returns to running post covid. Finally, best wishes to you both for a complete and speedy recovery.
Hi Anna and Everyone on the running channel keep up the great work I love the variety of videos on the channel and the advice you give last may I ran my first 10k in 1hr 4mins ( pretty slow but I got hooked) I haven't stopped training rampped up my training during lockdown I have my first ultra marathon next month videos like theses remind why I love running you guys are really charming espically Anna :p .
Anna, RUclips's most courageous and inspirational runner. Well done! You never disappoint because you always push your limits and hit them with such grace.
Well done Anna, another amazing challenge. I went walking in the Polish mountains a couple of days ago and there was around 450m of elevation in 5km. Was hard enough to walk, let alone run!
Another great challenge and video. Well done Anna. You sacrificed your time for the video content but also had more time to admire the stunning scenery 👍
Great Challenge! Thanks for taking this on Anna! I’ll be running about 12k tomorrow (but on roads and without so much elevation!) so this video inspired me to push myself tomorrow!
I really love these kinds of videos guys - seeing you actually out on the trail doing challenges is really motivating! Especially love Anna - she makes me feel less guilty admitting when I need to rest. Love you girl!! x
OMG!! Anna! You are so so amazing. You motivate me so hard... Right! On with my shoes and off for my weekend long run (that I have been putting off all day!!). Thank you for sharing this video. xx
Would love to do that run! You were AWESOME and we all know you made your goal since you added time dealing with camera stuff for the rest of us to enjoy. Well done Anna!
Well done Anna 👏🏻 we are currently in stage 4 lockdown and can only exercise for an hour a day so I love watching these videos and living vicariously through others 😍
Awesome video Anna and the Running Channel - this is going to be an epic event with some legends of Ultra running there too. I cannot wait for this!! See you there!!
I hope John Kelly runs it. He's a total bad ass and Barkleys winner from Eastern TN not too far from my home in Western NC. He lives in Bristol now and is a hero to a lot of us runners around here. Maybe Anna can get a shout out from him and post it.
Omg those hills are gnarly! I would love to climb that. That landscape was breathtaking. Those rocks, all I could think of was rolling ankles.😂 I loved this video.
Ah so jealous of those awesome views! I did in my knee 4 days ago so no more running for a long time for me. Of course being injured makes me want to run even more! I will live vicariously through you!
I'm so sorry. I was hurt June 20 and had some very sad days when my foot Surgeon told me I had a 50% chance of needing bone fusion surgery which would have ended running for me. Now I'm beginning to heal, but believe me when I say I know how you feel. It helped me a lot to try to connect to other runners on this channel and helps me to feel like I'm still a runner. Please stay tuned and let everyone know how you are doing. Best wishes on your recovery!
@@kevinlance1813 thanks, and good luck on your healing too! Make sure you do those exercise your PT gives you ;). Now is a great time to work on that core strength if running is on the back burner!
I run at Mozart100 (110km D5000m) last year, Pau won in 10:54. Granted, I wasn't in my best shape but, I didn't make the cutoff at the 63km 3000 m (which was 11:30 hours). Pau is not human. Great effort Anna!
Great watch. Well done Anna! It’s crazy how positive you stay when you’re up against it.. especially with the flying ants 😄 🐜 good job 👍🏻 just inspired me to try my first 10k without stopping!
Oh my god Anna, don’t know how you do it. I’d love to do something like this one day but as a new runner only 6 weeks in I have a long way to go, there is so much to learn. I have done 6 miles this week at snails pace and I’m really quite tired and a bit sore! You do inspire me though, that was fantastic x
every time you do one of these ridiculous runs I think "I would like to do something like that". I just wish I had taken up running when I was younger and living in the Pennines.
I always enjoy this type of video best. Perfect. After reading the comments, I have arrived at the conclusion that Anna has some fans, of which my wife and I are two. Epic. Thanks for the beautiful scenery and a fun run!
Cracking effort in the heat Anna...love how bubbly you are in all your videos as well, ultra races looks really cool and more chilled and seeing this deffo makes me want to go out and do one like this (Lakes in a day (Lake District) is one I'd love to do in next couple of years, has around 4000ft elevation, think I better start those hill reps now lol, keep up the great videos 🙂
Good job Anna. I think we all could use a good training season. Besides one of the greatest things about trail running is taking time to enjoy the veiws. Still we are rooting for you in these challenges so keep it going.😉
Great job, as an ultra runner and running content creator this was very fun to watch! Its amazing to see how some humans can do such extraordinary things in running...12k that fast on that section??? Wow!
Way to go! I ran a 10 km trail race in July, single track trail through the bush with over 1000 meter elevation😩tons of mosquitos, so if you stopped you were eaten alive. Awesome 1:30 minutes💪🏻😊
Wonderful is the perfect word. I'm from Western NC (US) and we have the beautiful (and steep and high) Appalachian Mountains. My wife and I cannot wait to visit the Peaks and the Lakes on our UK trip next year, postponed from this year by Covid. Gonna do some runs and hikes Yay!
She's so funny and what a trooper. Still a great effort while filming, too. "Already dropped my sunglasses." "Thighs are chafing." 50 minutes Pau??? Takes me an hour and 20 minutes to run 10K on flat roads.
The Running Channel really enjoyed the video. I run trails with varying elevations so could totally relate to the first 3k. I enjoy this content in your vlogs! Keep up the good work. I’m in the USA but my hubby is from Bristol England.

This is close to where I live and train. I can't decide which is worse, going up Kinder in the heat, or when it's freezing and muddy in winter. For me those hills are definitely more difficult when descending.
