- One of the nicest and most down to earth car enthusiasts you'll meet, @TheManandTheMachine took a ride in the 🐍 for the first time. He currently has both a beautiful Lamborghini Performante and a V12 Aston Vantage (with the proper transmission!). I love sharing the Viper experience with car enthusiasts, it's such an exciting car to go for a spin in.

@@Welcometofacsistube Poor sales like the other guy said. This might match an R8 V10’s performance or even beat it, but after all that hoonery ends you’re in a car that:
Is not as comfortable as the R8
Doesn’t have as many features as the R8
Doesn’t have the prestige of the R8
... and I challenge anyone on this one- doesn’t sound as good as the R8. The Audi 5/5.2 V10 sounds better than Dodge’s V10, straight up.
You might pay a fraction of the price for the Viper, but you are losing many things as well.

An R8 is an awesome car . I’ve driven 3. An older V10 and newer one and a gated V8. The viper lacks all the fancy amenities that of which an R8 has Bc the viper was always intended as a drivers car with little to no driver aid. The 5th gen is the most updated one only Bc they had to revamp the interior to Atleast compete with its sibling models such as the challenger and charger. And by this I mostly mean the infotainment center as it’s the first one with one. The 9L stroker kit sounds light years better than a stock 8.3/8.4L . Comparing the the 2 isn’t feasible Bc one is a traditional push rod engine and the other is not . I’m not taking anything away from the R8 but seeing as I’ve driven both vehicles and fortunate enough to have buddies let me track them, I prefer the viper. It’s all in opinion. I wish it did have more luxury amenities but in my opinion it’s the Rawest car to ever come out of the USA. From gen 1 to gen 5.
@@jared2880 but that's what makes it a Viper, it's not a supercar, it's meant to be as bare bones as can be and raw. The original viper didn't even have door handles or a proper roof

I saw you writing under a recent video that you’re more or less getting tired of editing videos for what feels like too little views and subscriptions @SneakySnakes and I can only implore you to keep making them! Maybe take a break from it when you find yourself hating the process more than loving it and just drive your poster car instead, but don’t stay away forever. Your car and your style of content are too great to be kept from the world!

I just have to say that I love your Viper! It is probably my favorite Viper setup for street racing. The N/A power comes on so hard but the car seems to hook up pretty well! Compared to some content creators I feel blessed to see a real bad ass machine like this tearing up the street. Maybe focus on getting more opponents to race! I would love to see the car destroy more souls.

Hey Sneaky Snakes, would you ever consider putting the ACR Aero Kit on your viper (wing, front splitter, rear diffuser, canards, etc.)? I know you track this thing a lot so I didn't know if that was something you would look into or if you just like the stock look.
I don't track the car enough to justify the expense (30k+) and I don't really want to convert a GTS into an ACR.

Viper exchange spring caps (thinner upper perches on oem coilovers). About 0.4" lower all around

would you say the gear ratios are optimal at current power level? i.e., does hitting ~63mph in 1st, mid 90's in 2nd, and ~120 in 3rd feel about right?
I think it's geared absolutely perfect for the power level. I would prefer a shorter 1st gear for dragstrip launches as it's hard to 60ft the car with a 60mph 1st gear. Otherwise 👌

Have you ever considered running any 200tw rubber like RT660, advan A052s etc?
Seem like a more grippy tire than the R888. Even nankang AR1s if you want 100tw rating.
I don't have any experience with those for the street. The r888r isn't the best track tire (it's inconsistent, overheats and gets greasy quickly), but its heat range seems to be perfect for the street.
