Trouble is I don't think this recognises that a gap of two ranks is VERY different depending on your starting rank. The gap between GC1 and GC3 is HUGE, where as the difference between a gold2 and a plat1 is pretty minimal. Moving up a rank in GC potentially takes 100s or 1000s of hours of drills, where as in gold it may be 10s at most!
I hear you talking alot about plats-champs but don't here much about the low low ranks such as silver and gold. Could you make a video on the first mechanics you should be learning to rank up when your gold and below? And the mechanics you should learn and should already know at every rank? I watched this video and your video about the mechanics you should learn at your rank but instead of the mechanics you should learn at specified ranks, it was more of a most important\best mechs. Thank you for this video anyway! I'll be continuing to try and improve and channels like yours make my day and progression in rocket league easier! Keep it up!
He focuses the middle ranks more often simply because silver-gold players, such as us, tend to not care about getting entirely better yet or ranking up as much. It would be nice to have something for us small guys tho :D
The reason why no one talks about mechanics at lower ranks is because at those ranks, you just need to play the game more. No single mechanic will help you rank up besides just playing more and having fun. When you get to a higher rank (low plat +) you can focus on more specialised training. The only thing I would reccomend is going into freeplay and holding down boost and just booming and chasing the ball around the pitch. Try and make wide turns and hit the ball as hard as you can (in any direction). This will give you a good foundation for car/ball control. Good luck!

If you're hesitant to go for a challenge, then remember the never challenge first rule. If you're hesitant to go for a save or necessary challenge on defense, then use the pass command in Freeplay to practice shadow defending and clearing the ball to your corner and also play 1v1 to work on defense
watch high level players play and try to replicate the challenge / fake challenge / shadow timings and also their positioning. Shadowing can be hard though that's why majority doesn't do it but it can be learned over time like months, alongside shadowing training packs like uncomfortable saves

This season so far is ass. I almost hit c2 last season and right now I’m in and out of c1. I’m playing against and with people who were either high c2-low c3 or barely d2 in my d3-c1 lobbies. Idk what happened with the rank reset but the devs should never do that again.

Half the people in High C2 in 2v2 were C3-GC1 before this season! It’s much harder to get up this season than last sadly.
For real I was high c2 last season and after my placements i got low c1 and I’ve never got c2 after the rank reset
