totally open to new album suggestions you think I would like based on these. if there's an album you think should be on here I prob just haven't heard it. like I know ppl go crazy abt frank ocean, but I just haven't listened to him yet
Labi Siffre, "Crying, Laughing, Loving, Lying" is a really nice folk album Judee Sill unfortunately passed away too early... But she has two albums out and they're amazing. Linda Perhacs' "Parallelograms" If you want some good progrock, try listening to Premiata Forneria Marconi, it's an Italian band, if you end up liking them I also recommend Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, they're similiar. If you want a really good, niche jazz album, try "East Plants" by Takeo Moriyama. If you want some nice, Italian folk, try Fabrizio De André, "Volume 1" and "Tutti Morimmo A Stento" are spectacular. While most people only remember them for "Venus", Shocking Blue does have some great stuff too... "At Home" is a great psychedelic rock album. Also Chi Coltrane's a phenomenal, forgotten artist As for rap... Try Bassi Maestro's "Foto Di Gruppo"
Warren Zevon's "Excitable Boy", Vashti Bunyan's "Just Another Diamond Day", Townes Van Zandt's "Our Mother the Mountain", Supertramp's "Breakfast in America", Sister Rosetta Tharpe's "Gospel Train", Sandy Denny's "Sandy", Robert Johnson's "King Of The Delta Blues", Rickie Lee Jones' "Girl At Her Volcano", it's kind of weird but try Ivan Graziani's "Viaggi ed Intemperie" ... There's two Italian progrock bands, Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso and Premiata Forneria Marconi, given your taste I belive you'd love them. If you want a good, niche jazz album try "East Plants" by Takeo Moriyama. Labi Siffre's "Crying, Laughing, Loving, Lying" is a really good folk album, also Judee Sill only made two albums, but they both deserve a listen. Shoking Blue's "At Home" is a great psychedelic rock album. Also Fabrizio De Andrè, I'd suggest you start with "Volume 1" and "Tutti Morimmo a Stento" As for rap... Try Bassi Maestro's "Foto di Gruppo"
The Cars are the best New Wave band of all time, IMO, so I would recommend their eponymous debut album and Heartbeat City, both in my Top 100, because you had Remain In Light on your list. I enjoyed the vid, though I didn't agree with all of your picks and believed that there were some snubs, and there was some stuff that I hadn't heard before that I will most definitely be checking out.
Amazing list man, love the court of the crimson king, Close to the edge (my personal favorite album of all time) and all the steely dan. Big props for putting Can’t buy a thrill above Aja, a very unpopular take but one I 100% agree with. Absolutely going to listen to the albums on here I haven’t heard yet.
My list: Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Beatles - Sgt. Pepper´s Miles Davis - Bitches Brew Steely Dan - Aja Television - Marquee Moon Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks Dire Straits Pink Floyd - Animals Beatles - Abbey Road Neutral Milk Hotel - In the aeroplane over the sea King Crimson - In the court of the Crimson King Yes - Close to the Edge Keith Jarrett - Koln Concert Supertramp - Crime of the Century Neil Young - Harvest Joni Mitchell - Blue Patti Smith - Horses Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms XTC - Drums and Wires The Smiths - The Queen is dead Pixies - Doolittle Beastie Boys - Paul´s boutique Pink Floyd - The wall The Waterboys - This is the sea Kendrick Lamar - To pimp a butterfly. Good to see a list without Kanye West, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, M Jackson etc. Great job, dude.
My top 10 is very different from yours but I like that theirs a similarlity in how dense and experimental some of those records are, cause all of my top 10s are really experimental and dense

Not bad. But where are Frank Zappa, Gentle Giant, Kraftwerk or Chicago & Van der Graaf Generator? They definitely deserve a place instead of almost all the Beatles albums. And I don't even mean special albums, like e.g. "Free Hand"(1975) from Gentle Giant
@@videosbaisam I don't get King Crimson tbh, for me they're easily the most inacessible band in the prog scene. Gentle Giant is actually a very acessible one (much shorter songs than normal prog), and I'd also recommend Camel. Floyd and Yes are kinda easy to get as well as Rush but you're already into them, I guess.
Nice albums. But almost no obscure artists. Everything quite obvious. Usually I watch videos like this to discover interesting stuff. Nothing to discover here...
i've always thought sgt pepper was overrated. the opening 3 tracks, incredible, a day in the life, one of the greatest songs ever. the rest of album? just kinda meh
wasnt expecting the wall at the top but i respect it. love to see godspeed you! black emperor!!

You should listen to the Doors
I think you'd Deathconsciousness by Have a Nice Life and The Glow, Pt.2 by The Microphones
I recommend the band Styx and their albums from 1975 to 1983
Labi Siffre, "Crying, Laughing, Loving, Lying" is a really nice folk album

CBAT and Aja are both totally killer but the deepcuts on CBAT pull it above aja for me

incredibly valid similar to my own list
My top 10 is very different from yours but I like that theirs a similarlity in how dense and experimental some of those records are, cause all of my top 10s are really experimental and dense
Good taste.
Respect for Tusk 🙂

Hmm. What music would you classify as hipster shit?
Incredible list, seriously
Rock centric list (it's subjective favorites after all) but I respect The Wall #1
1960s - 22 Albums
1970s - 57 Albums
1980s - 5 Albums
1990s - 4 Albums
2000s - 3 Albums
2010s - 7 Albums
2020s - 2 Albums
thanks, i was actually wondering about the stats myself. i really like the 70s if you can't tell
1 album per artist will be better
It’s his favorite albums, not the best ones, and for even that we could argue, maybe he didn’t listened to them or just prefers others over it
prog rock is one of my fav genres, but i haven't listened to a lot of the more inaccessible artists
@@videosbaisam I don't get King Crimson tbh, for me they're easily the most inacessible band in the prog scene. Obviously a Kendrick Lamar fan made this list 😂
Good choice man, but Lateralus of Tool is in top ten!
it's his opinion
Bro just told someone what should be in his favourite albums list💀

The wall is easily the best Floyd album along with animals. Dark side of the moon is a close second
I agree with you on The Wall but Dark Side and Animals don’t even come close to Wish You Were Here if I’m being very honest
You don't like rap but love Kendrick
yeh basically true
Oasis? =(
No kanye albums?
It's criminal
never got into him personally
Sgt. Pepper is obviously the best album ever. No doubt about it. Where is it? What a shame
