I found the most important thing about raising Guppies was to take the lid off of the tanks the survival rate after taking lid off of the tanks was unbelievable. I hardly had any deaths of my fish. I did need a screen to keep them from jumping out.

Good info! I keep a tank of guppies just to breed so I can feed my predator fish. Like the yarn, genius!

I actually find it that allowing the guppies to have the fry and keep them in the same tank with them they eventually get used to seeing them and will not eat them, I do keep some live plants both floating and submerged. I also keep a regular filter running without a sponge to cover the intake and I find that the baby's naturally know to steer clear of it.

My fish were so healthy after taking the lids off the tanks that I needed a screen to keep them from jumping out. And I hardly had any deaths other than jumping out of the tanks. The screens took care of that my fish were very healthy and colorful.

This video is wonderful! How much yarn for a 10 gallon? Where do I get it? Amazon? Mom says Walmart sells yarn! I can get some when I go to Robinson to pick up my scripts. I am looking forward to doing this! My spare (10) gallon is in the basement with my sponges already seeded. I love how you practice what you preach with your excess sponges in the tank. Corey also mentioned the squaring off of the belly's being a telltale sign. Where do i get the moss? I wonder if the female or male fish are more inclined to eat the fry. This video is golden! It woulda been nice to have seen your beautiful clown in the saltwater tank:-) Darrius lost one of his favorite "predator" fish. He is dealing with a Rubix cube on how to situate his fish for best results. His Jaguars had tons of babies! I have to learn to observe that square box. My mollies had babies when I moved them into the (30) tall and I did not realize it until it was too late:-( These were just borns younger than those that got eaten. 21:00 I just put a VERY pregnant boxy looking molly in the (10) gallon in the basement. I transferred same water and I already had a "cheap Chinese" cycled filter. I have another Eheim heater for that tank. I found this acrylic yarn on Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B00557340G/ref=twister_B01H0QKPY2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
how many spools do you think I'll need? It looks like you have about 4-5 spools. This is exciting! You found a "fix" to my problem. What food do you feed your guppies? I might as well get food while I'm getting yarn. I feed Tetra Shrimp flavored flakes now and Sera O-Nips. I found a molly fish review! It recommended Zoo Meds Spirulina 20, API tropical Greens, and Super Betta Floating BIT mix. I did identify which molly was the most pregnant with a large box. I put her downstairs i a (10) gallon. Yesterday I did a 50% water change whereas I always do 20%. My Molly go a touch of Swim Bladder disease as a result. I was worried! I watched dMicheals Fish Den and he confirmed info I had already bruised but forgotten.. A 1/2 tsp of Epsom Salt would be my Molly's savior in this case. I also went out and go her some peas and blanched them but the Epsom Salt laxative had already done the trick! dMicheals Fish Den link is :
ruclips.net/video/ja3r80cIyhU/видео.html Well after this scarry day my Molly had (9) babies! I removed her since I haven't gotten the acrylic yarn yet. I put her in an arugula container and she was returned and her plastic container floated in my 30 tall. I put her in the container in the event that she would have more babies. This time when I used my net rather than risk losing a baby in the net I put the net in some extra water change water. One baby did transfer with her
bit I saw it in the arugula container and I cupped my hand and returned it to the (10) gallon where the babies will grow for a while. Another molly is pregnant and she will need a "delivery tank". I have a spare (20) gallon and a cycled sponge perhaps I'll use that tank? I took a piece of paper and wrote the birth down and taped it on a box next to my (10) gallon.
I took another "boxed" looking pregnant molly down. I put her in my (20) gallon since (9) babies were in the (10) gallon. I will move all the babies into the (20) gallon after she delivers and bring her back upstairs to my (30) tall. I've read that some mollies have had (40) or more babies. Mine will get there:-)
11/25/2019: I got Lava Rock yesterday. I used it as a substrate in my (30) tall over some colored flat marbles. I put some in a bag and put the bag in my (20) gallon with the fry. Fry get lost in substrates and die, no more:-)
I also got fish food: I got API Tropical Greens. I LOVE the canister it comes in as opposed to the cheap ziplock bags of Hikari. I called API and commended them.
11/26/2019: I have Zoo Med Spirulina (20) coming today.
I re-ordered Marimo Moss balls bc I kept (2) in my (55) and took the rest outside to see if sun had an effect. In this time the roofers came and I did not feel comfortable going in and out bc the were gotten at a discount:-) Some unsavory characters:-) Those moss balls dried out:-( I'm going back down to check on my (10) and see if my other Black Molly delivered. I have her in the tank with my Dalmation Molly. I wasn't sure if the Dalmation who just delivered had a mouth fungus so I am treating her in my (10) gallon with SeaChem's Paraguard. I think it is just her coloration. I was [pssob;y reading into it.

Guppies eat their babies according to how much they are worth it seems. The mutts won't touch their fry, but the expensive ones eat virtually all of them. lol

and personally, i think its rude to say things like that to someone. id never say that to anyone but my kids. because well, its my place to tell them that as their mother.
