Haven't heard back from you😔
Getting ghosted is not ok... Hope you're ok.
I sent you a message on messenger
they may not change their sperm packet for upto 4 months so you could be waiting for around 6 months before knowing if they bred the new breed! i breed 1000s of guppies over the last few years and i suggest a deeper substrate to warm the water up ..... there will be alot of issues in a few weeks months in this set up! also the leeching of the plastic with the heater will cause a plastic weird smell! this set up is really complicated and will cause so many issues for the breeder! small glass containers are better than plastic overall! most likely the fish will start to get sick in due time and cause random deaths! .... the best thing to do is buy 20 baby fry and breed them yourself they will last so many months longer than shop purchased guppies! 2/3 weeks is the maximum age you should be buying guppies and they will be more bulletproof in the future! i study guppies and have loads of useful tips and info !
If you start from a bunch of baby fry, can you breed brothers and sisters with each other with no ill effects? Honest question, I don’t know the answer.
@@AdamSmith-yc8iz hi yes aslong as like 4 months down the line you add new males and females this will keep them pretty much strong genes .... maybe the odd few over the year that will have some problems with bent spines but 95% will be sweet
Lol just as I was getting ready to ask if I can change my last answer to GUPPIES!! AFTER SEEING THIS !!love this

How awesome you are doing a special video of my VERY favorite fish. Mom had them as I was growing up and that sparked my love affair. Over the years I have had many guppies, and for a while, I thought about breeding and selling them. Happy Thanksgiving from Nebraska.

Any ideas on grow out tanks after the fry stages? Im debating fewer larger tanks and putting all same species and close ages in thos or bunch of med tanks to seperate. Im trying to produce 300 fry a week between all colors of each species and avg 2 months til sell so so high estimate of 2400 fish holding tanks

Just had my guppies breeding it's my first time having fry. Az USA
I was trying to set up a 60 gallon for guppies to just breed as they pleased. I put in statum to plant a good bunch of plants for the guppies to hide in. It didn't take long for my guppies to all start dying off. Tested the water and everything seemed ok but the pH went down as its supposed to with the stratum. I read that livebearers should have at least neutral pH. Is this the reason why my guppies have mostly all died off? (tank has been running for a good while with different fish I ended up moving to different tanks so its well cycled)
Guppies can live fine in higher ph. Typically 6.5-7.8. Did you clean the plant before adding it?
@@RandySoWavvy I think the pH was closer to 6.2 or something, which is why I was seeing if that's the issue. From what I remember, all plants were already in there and/or cleaned prior to putting them in.
What happened to the fish from the predator pond?
I think you got 14 guppies I am from Mexico good videos and keep the good work is good always to know breeding
I'm from New Zealand
Pure line guppies are really hard to come by over here

When I bought a male two weeks ago, he had a light yellow body and a light yellow tail. Now his tail is turning a deeper shade of yellow, and the small black spot he had behind his head now covers 1/4 of the body. At what age does a male reach its definitive color?
And does the temperature affect the color? The first few days I thought the water was 23 degrees, because that's how I had set the heating. But I saw from the thermometer that it was only 19 degrees! Oh dear! I increased the temperature. Now they swim around a lot happier. But did the higher temperature also have an effect on the color?
Food affects color temperature not so much temp does affect whether you get more males or females
@@RandySoWavvy Probably the mail was not ready with making co;lour. A young male.
