It's interesting they named their B&M dive coaster, "Cliffhanger", but didn't actually build it diving off any of the cliffs that surround the park. Is there no more available space on the quarry walls to build another coaster?
Surely they at least considered building it on the quarry wall. I think I read somewhere it’s too tall to literally dive off the wall but I could be wrong.

Went there all the way from PA about a month before it opened. Sad I missed it, but I was there the day of the first test run and hope to return there in the distant future.
it's because of the space they have to work with, they chose tight areas and then shoved the lift in the corner. So now you have enough room for a drop and an element that needs to be able to be tight and that just falls down to an Immelmann.
I mean, the immelmann is pretty much the perfect inversion to follow the drop on a Dive Coaster. The next best one would probably be a regular vertical loop.
@@matthewmiller7207 False. 200 foot drop followed immediately by a heartline roll that will break everyone's necks and really mess with the folks sitting on the ends.

Six Flags Great Adventure could honestly incorporate a dive coaster. Granted, if they can ever have a budget with how much it'll cost to make El Toro's current condition not keep being a problem. Honestly, no one really cares about Green Lantern, it could possibly be sold to leased Six Flags Darien Lake, be made floorless, and be a much needed addition-it does have length, and is like Mantis/Rougarou more than any other of it's kind. It would greatly benefit that park, and the least popular big thrill coaster at SFGADV will be replaced with something the GP would eat up, while also enthuasists would still ride and have fun. That and a new ride (Zamperla Endeavour, Chance Freestyle since many have gotten those) plus paint jobs for Nitro and Runaway Train? Yeah sorry I probably have better plans then them, this is the place (not unlike others though) charging more for everything while giving us probably less hours and less properly maintained rides at all times. Still if the giga rumors were true and are probably going to be dead for a while would anyone really mind a sale+way better replacement for a coaster few enjoy more than the floorless?
Why is no one talking about how the hell no one is screaming I’ve seen a RUclipsr passed through this coaster so much times and almost every coaster there was people screaming

The ride looks fun and the story is great, but I don’t see why they didn’t just make a Scarecrow / Jonathan Crane ride since it also has DC as a part of the park Crane already has the whole fear motif so why not just make it that? Such a missed opportunity to theme this to the scarecrow from Batman being that it’s about harvesting fear. Instead they made some random character. Tragic.
I’m fairly confident every single dive coaster has the exact same layout. The only difference obviously being the final brake run and the height/speed differences
WRONG. Shiekra only has one inversion, Yukon Striker (at my home park) has a totally different and better layout. Also, most dive coasters have a pre-drop that instead starts with a turn like on this one, goes down a 180 degree turn with a shallow drop.
