I feel so bad for Sydney. She had to fight for her life to "prove" herself, and in the end they still didn't believe her. I know it's literally the point of the game, but this episode just didn't sit right with me, the way they voted off nearly all the girls and didn't believe or listen to them. As bisexuals, we need to do better.
As a bisexual, I think you’re reading into it a little too much. It’s a game show where you have to ‘prove’ yourself and ‘fit in’, so I’m sure all of them were totally prepared to have to ‘prove’ themselves and/or face doubt in response. After all, it’s the name of the game. As for nearly all the women being voted off, that’s a fair point and I wish they’d have asked them at the end why they did that
“Fight for her life” “Heartbreaking” I think you’re being a bit dramatic. This is just a game. The point is to judge based off of what you can see and what they share. You can’t really prove sexuality easily so people just have to rely on looks
Why are you assuming she had to fight for her life to prove herself? Or that’s she’s heartbroken over a RUclips video? Or that she has had internal struggles with her identity? @always procrastinating Yeah, I think there also might be an element of it where guys think bi girls are straight (just like you said) and the only reason they "act" like they're into girls is because MEN find that hot. It's hard to explain but it's so infuriating
Not their fault though, since too many women talk about how much they like girls, kissing or making out with them; then finishes it by "I'm straight though." These huge majority of "straight" girls are the reason people don't have an accurate view on bisexual women.

Even though I'm bi, I feel like I would've been voted out instantaneously if I took part in this because I conform to what is seen as "masculine" so much. To be honest, one thing I have to be critical about when it comes to both the LGBT community itself and how its members are presented to those outside of it is that there's this idea that people who are straight are masculine if male and feminine if female, and are the opposite if bisexual, gay, or lesbian. It's like one's interests and presentation automatically determine what their sexuality is. It's so crazy I feel like sometimes I'm just a straight guy who happens to like men too-it's been to the point where even my boyfriend has asked me, since I like cars for instance, "Are you sure you're not straight?".

they should definitely do a ‘who is non binary’ i think it’d help with the stereotype that non-binary people have a look (skinny androgynous and white) and make a lot more people feel seen
i hate the ones about sexuality because it just turns into a stereotype game. if they made it some type of statement against stereotypes, then maybe it would be fine, but its just whoever is the biggest stereotype wins the money.
For me pointing out one person in front of everybody, knowing full well that it basically makes everybody else suspect her, was a jerk move. Especially since he was wrong. I hope he genuinely apologised and shared some of his money with her afterwards.
Mhmmm this is why I try not to stereotype everyone. If I do I always think it might not be true. So I just go on about my day until I confirm that they really are what I thought they were. People are full of surprises so try not to compartmentalize.
basically, sexual orientation/sexuality doesn't have a "look". anyone could be gay, bisexual, straight or what. it is not our right to identify someone else just based on their physical appearance. let them speak for themselves, if they said their gay, lesbian, bi, straight, etc. then identify them as who they wanna be! sure it could change, but what matters is the present. we do not own their identity and either do they.

That’s something I really think Jubilee needs to sort out because it defeats the purpose of the game. It’s a social experiment. Yeah people need an incentive to participate (aka $$$ / prize) but it shouldn’t be allowed to be used to manipulate the system like that.
As a bisexual myself, this one of my fav episodes. It really warmed my heart to hear their stories and how relatable they are to mine, especially Melvin and Tristan’s testimonies
I get what you’re saying but I think that is a bit too general. I don’t think they should do what Melvin did by saying “YOU” so directly like that. At the same time the person who has suspicions should be directed to ask more questions to confirm their own suspicions. It sounds like common sense for a cast person to do this but I want Jubilee to redirect that behavior so that this doesn’t keep happening.

I'm currently struggling with coming out to myself, because I recently started feeling attraction to women for the first time and it was met with a lot of internalised homophobia, which honestly shocked me. I know I'm more straight-leaning, but everything in me is screaming that I'm just straight and I'm not allowed to be attracted to women as well, and it all just feels really weird. The thing is, though, this girl legitimately gave me butterflies and it was just... not platonic. I've never felt that for a woman before. I don't know what to do with it. I just sort of outed myself to myself because I sort of went into bi panic and then went 'wait, I'm bi?!'

Free will AND random chance, because we can't control everything that will happen on our future with free will alone. Edit: Also, I don't think Science is able to explain the meaning of life since the word "meaning" is too subjective. The only meaning you can gather from evolution is that we're meant to survive and to survive we have to reproduce to keep the species from going extinct like every other animal, but it isn't going to give a deeper meaning to life than that.

Yeah, he sucked. Totally rude
Right he should’ve just secretly voted her out
I feel so bad for Sydney. She had to fight for her life to "prove" herself, and in the end they still didn't believe her. Imagine how heartbreaking that must be after having internal struggles with your identity, to then meet outside resistance from your own community.
As for nearly all the women being voted off, that’s a fair point and I wish they’d have asked them at the end why they did that
I felt so bad for her, cause her actions resonated so much with my bi experience
it is a literal game show
“Fight for her life”
“Heartbreaking”
I think you’re being a bit dramatic.
Not all bisexual people deal with internal struggles with their identity or become heartbroken because a few strangers think they’re straight and not bi

It's so crazy I feel like sometimes I'm just a straight guy who happens to like men too-it's been to the point where even my boyfriend has asked me, since I like cars for instance, "Are you sure you're not straight?".

basically, sexual orientation/sexuality doesn't have a "look". anyone could be gay, bisexual, straight or what. it is not our right to identify someone else just based on their physical appearance. let them speak for themselves, if they said their gay, lesbian, bi, straight, etc. then identify them as who they wanna be! sure it could change, but what matters is the present. we do not own their identity and either do they.
