This is seriously an amazingly deep and insightful interview, just blew me away. Bonnie is such a treasure, always hits me in the heart and soul and Zane has artfully drawn so much out of her here. Brilliant.
Thank you Bonnie, been listening to you since college, I’m a few months older. It was a time of a lot of change and questions. I ended up being a nurse with sick cancer kids in Boston for almost 40 years and lucky enough to have some of our own. But I wanted to share that driving into work was always a transition to the person that could do that work, I always had to listen to music on the drive that fed my soul, listened to you a lot along with Ella and Louie and many others, you always rang true. So thank you for helping for years. Hope you realize what you give people.
Always nice to get to hear Bonnie, so much history, she's a smart woman, a great singer-musician-bandleader, activist, in tune with what's going on in the world, unpretentious, a friend to so many that were greats that are now gone and helping those musicians who because of their skin color ripped off by record companies, she's the real deal in her 6th decade, a treasure to see in concert..one of our greats, a living legend finally getting her dues! Zane Lowe is just awesome, what an interview!
What a moving interview……… thank you so much Bonnie for all the amazing songs throughout the years! You have been and always will be my all time favorite singer!❤
Thank you for talking about this. I almost almost lost my son to an overdose. He came within a whisper of death, his face was blue and his lips were gray, I truly thought he was gone. I was SOOOO lucky and he was as well, and he went on to turn his life around thankfully. But it has changed my point of view probably forever. What of the mothers who weren't so lucky? You broke my heart by singing about this, and yet I'm glad to remember that moment where everything, everything hung in the balance, and hung on what was done in the next 30 seconds.
I am so glad that Zane is interviewing our icons and trailblazers, as well as the youth. Especially artists as precious to me as Bonnie Raitt. I'd love seeing more interviews with musicians who are continuing to produce music, despite the fact that they are ignored by most media outlets because they are older.
As a fan since forever, I do appreciate the opportunity to hear her like this. She's such a generous, authentic, real human who has gotten me through so much.
JLT hits home for me. I would love to be able to hear my son's heart beating again as in her song. My son passed in 2019. He was a donor as I am. The song says so much.
I have been listening to Bonnie since the mid-seventies. When I worked for Fisher Audio/Video in Chatsworth I sang one of Bonnie’s songs at the Christmas party winning first place - a VCR (when they were new and very expensive.) What mattered most was that I was six months sober then and facing big fear of singing in front of a large crowd. It was a huge sober moment. Thank you, Bonnie. 🙏💜 ps. 37+ years sober now and trudging the road…💜
I’ve listened to this man interview people in the past, and I have to say he’s one of the best I’ve ever heard interview musicians. His sensitivity and ability to cozy up to not only the artist personally but they’re material and really feel and understand what they bring to the world is outstanding. Bravo! End of course the reason that I’m to this interview is I love Bonnie Raitt so much and have for about 50 years.
I agtree with you - "Just Like That" - I wasn't prepared for such a great song. It hit me like an inside fastball. That is the best song I have heard in a very long time. Perfect song by a perfect artist.
She is stunning woman. Her sound just timeless and she is top there with the other greats, who she has been playing through out the career. Will always love her.
I remember seeing John Raitt in Pajama game on DVD. Handsome man and his beautiful talented daughter. Love this interview. I admire her talent as a songwriter and slide guitarist. Awesome in-depth interview.
What a lady! With so many gifts ! I remember as a young teenager using Bunny ears, On the Channel 9 TV trying to getting her music tuned in. Is the olden day ways.. She was playing somewhere in San Francisco..Live... I saw her live, incredible.!! What an Unique artist on so many levels.. An incredible female artist and the guitar Is part of her ! Then her voice!! What can I say? She's a hero in my life! I could listen to her stories and her music the rest of my life! So gifted and so giving ,& vulnerable , Transparent sharing .. Inspiring us all! To be better people! Thinking & communicating the pain healing inspiring us with her Incredible music with her voice and guitar ! Thank YOU , BONNIE RAITT ! You are a CLASS ACT, transparent ,humble , and Graciously sharing your wisdom! And story of pain. Thank YOU , Bonnie Raitt.along w/ a great interview with this Wonderful, gentleman! Hats Off!
Her knowledge, political take, talent, ability to share meaningful stories and deep open heart....I could listen to her forever. Skillfully interviewed as well.
This is a stunning interview! When you have something to say honestly and musically then its something that will never let you down and you have a great career out of it like Bonnie has. Zane is just one of best interviewers. it more like talking to a wise friend rather than an interviewer. Very heartfelt and enjoyable.
I played hooky from work in 1977 to see her in a small venue in Nashville. Was wonderful. Even then her voice was mesmerizing. Was a fan before that...and since that.
This is an hour of absolute grace, intelligence and civility between Ms. Raitt & Mr. Lowe. Even better if you first purchase and listen to her latest album. No one that is human should vote thumbs down. Bravo !!!
I was not planning to watch the whole video , but I couldn't stop ! I'm not the fan-type but I'm hooked on Bonnie since seeing her in Munich (end of 70ies ?) and I recall her asking the audience not to smoke (was still legal than)......
She's a musical miracle....Meet her once on a rainy night in a neighborhood San Fransisco restaurant....She sat right next to me so I couldn't help but notice that her coat pocket kept moving around....Turns out she was hiding a tiny little Maltese pooch in that pocket.
Apple 🍎 Music,Another Beautiful Interview With Angel Bonnie Raitt And Zane Reminiscing About All The Great Music That Will Always Live On And All Her Great Music She Has Put Together With Her Effort For Her New Albums Thank You Bonnie Raitt,Denny😘
Zane your the bomb bro. The real heavyweights love talking to you . This is another awesome interview. Bonnie is just amazing and her band and just awesome. ❤❤❤. I’ve seen Bonnie live and it’s a swamp of a groove . Peoples music. Unreal. No surprises in her taste in music .

Some of us are older, too. Bonnie keeps me truly alive.

A chick musician 👩🎤 back from when there were very few women musicians. Bonnie paved the way ladies.
Before her Joan Baez paved the way.
Shame the new artist have no humility. They have an ego the size of a house, and the attention span of a gnat!
Magical ❤
