How weird, I had the exact same fan issue this week but on a Potterton Gold! I had one on me which I'd taken out of a donor boiler, and gave it a go and it worked, and then I got a callback to say its stopped working again. Got a new fan in and bingo! Always worth a punt thought still. Nice vid Dan, I still need to get my horror story over to you mate!
You do mate :) anytime before End of next week would be good haha! Always worth keeping donor parts like you say mate. But I don’t think they like the cold damp van 😂😂😂 cheers Chigs 👍🏼
Nothing wrong with your content mate. You’ve helped me gain distinctions in my plumbing quals at college and now you’re helping me with my gas. Too many resets is a new one to me and as you say Ideal fans rarely fail. Looking forward to the content from followers. I’m sure I’ll have a few along the way. Keep it up mate. Down to earth and honest is a good recipe.
Thank you Paul, really appreciate your support, and yes be sure to send me your videos when you have some and I’ll get them added 🙏🏽 yeh this ideal fan was a first for me… and the too many resets job comes back in another video coming up 😂
Customers who ask to have their boiler installed in the attic are the same type of people that never open the bonnet on their car, if they do ever get round to opening their bonnet, they never check the oil, never change the oil and their screen wash consists of washing up liquid and water. Love your videos keep up the great work!
Never put your self down pal..i get like that being a heating engineer my self...its not all plain sailing we work in real plumbing time and as we all know it can go wrong but we learn and keep going and remember next time..great videos keep them coming your content is brill..
Dan ..you should never put yourself down as not being the best Plumber...Those with all the fancy pipe work are in a controlled situation..where as you work in a real time zone..love the videos...looking forward to your new adventure...we will probably see some horrible work and ask ourselves if we did it would we get paid
Thanks mate. And I appreciate the kind words, I wasn’t after sympathy for it just speaking what I feels the truth. For new people, that’s not what the channels about really, just real life situations haha. If you’ve got any stories let me know mate 🙏🏽 thank you again.
You’re definitely entertaining Dan, so funny at times. Like I’ve said before I’m no plumber but enjoy your videos. My plumber mate said to me ‘you always know what the fault is…..how come?’ Told him it’s cos I watch so many plumbers on RUclips along with certain sparkies. I know what the faults are….just don’t have the tools or confidence to try to fix things myself 🤦♂️.
Thanks mate. Really appreciate the kind words 🙏🏽 I’m glad they help out with diagnosing the issues, suppose that’s part of the fun. Confidence comes with experience, I’m Sure certain jobs you’d be able To tackle yourself mate! 💪🏼
Woah looking sharp there buddy. Great video and also what an awesome idea with the playlist you are coming up with. Also would you mind helping me answer a quick bathroom basin tap question here real quick ?
@@Heatking Thank you for taking the time. I got a hot and cold mixer tap. The kind where u swing left for hot and swing right for cold. Now I am wondering why if it’s on the Center it’s not luke warm but actually HOT. Any ideas ?
@@thegrinch295 because in the centre it’s mixing both hot and cold at the same time. The cold is probably a greater pressure than the hot too and it’s forcing more through.
Another great video mate, I heard a few people saying that short reels help promote your channel on RUclips to a greater extent, don’t know if that helps or you already know, your continuity guy needs sacked that cut on your left finger (looked sore!) healed extremely fast 😂
Mate... perfect timing. Them Ideal Logics. Are they any good or total gash? Me old nan's been offered one under some grant schem the local council are doing and she's got no scooby doo if to accept it. Tried talking to the spotty youth there, but that was a joke... only thing that came oug his gob was 'she can have a ideal logic or a worcester greenstar 2000 25kw boiler! End off. So... any thoughts on either of them 🤔
The ideals are alright to be honest mate and so is the Worcester. Never of them I’d say are a ‘bad’ boilers they’re just mid price range. Hope that helps buddy!
@Heatking Yupp.. what I thought in away. Heard a few bad bits about the Ideal Logic having issues like that fan and noisy trumpets. Being a government grant program supplied boiler had a feeling they would be lower end units. Anyway, thanks for that. It gives me something to think about, cheers, bud. 👍
@@Sparks1Plumbers0 yeh but like everything, every boiler has its faults. Ideal logics you’ll hear about more because there’s such a sheer amount of them out there 😂 I personally only install baxi and Worcester though. 🙏🏽
I dare you to subscribe.. bet you don’t 😂😂🎉Featuring @professorplumb

I agree. I really dislike them in attics :(
And thers spiders in the loft and wasp nests lol
@@Heatking Yes, if they're going to be in the the attic, then an extra remote filling loop with gauge is needed somewhere on the floors below.

Surprised the lack of pipe insulation in the lofts, must waste a lot of heat or present a freeze risk.
