Is the square screen obvious at all or stand out? In other words, does it blend with the glass black surround, or are there times where you can see the square screen? I can see it does in yours, but I'm not sure if that's the camera seeing it differently. I see other videos where you also can't see it..
Also create a room on the app for your bedroom. Assign that echo and bedroom light to the bedroom. When u walk in your bedroom. Just say alexa turn on/off light. Since youre talking to your bedroom device. It will turn off the light thats assign to the room. You dont need to say turn off/on bedroom light. Only time u need to say that is if youre talking to a different echo device. Assign any other device and room with their specific room. So when u talk to that room echo. Just say turn on/off light.
Good tip! I can’t remember if I did it when I first set it up in the video, or after the fact, but all my devices are set up in groups/rooms for that purpose. In the video I was still using a smart outlet run through SmartThings and occasionally this functionality would not be recognized and I had to specify “bedroom”, so I’m trained to say it no matter what. I recently installed smart bulbs that use an Echo for its hub, so I bet this would be more reliable now. Thanks for watching!
Yes! Just tried it for you. I hadn’t thought of it. I don’t use alarms very often anymore. You have to say “Alexa, snooze”. Just saying “snooze” does not work. Which makes sense, but thought maybe they had thought of that. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
In the Alexa app, on your phone or tablet, in the list of devices, find your echo spot. Click on the gear icon to access the settings. Scroll toward the bottom of the setting and find “device location”, right above time zone setting. Make sure that is the correct location.
@mariannegoldberg5432 I read one user that solved the same issue by re-entering their address manually. According to them, the address automatically obtained from their Amazon account wasn’t liked by the Alexa app, and by re-entering manually it solved the problem. Sorry you’re having trouble. Let us know if this works.
Definitely worth mentioning! Almost every Amazon owned product goes on sale at some point through the year. I don’t even know how many Ring, Echo, Blink, Fire sticks, Fire Tablets, etc. products I’ve purchased, not ONE at full price. I recommend keeping a list of wants, not need right now’s, along with regular price, and then checking those products at sale time. Saves a TON!
I don’t think anyone should be happy with their electronics just put in a bag to be tossed around in a truck. I only commented because the corners of the box were so beat up and I hadn’t noticed until I was recording. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
For a device that costs 80 USD, this is a very cheap box and presentation. no protection, no nothing. i've seen bluetooth knockoff speakers with better shipping materials. also why not a USB C port for power? i know you will somehow defend and justify, but at least try to pose as unbiased
I mean, it’s not my company and not my product. 🤷🏻♂️ My goal, with each video, is to provide as much detail, good or bad, I can for a prospective buyer. In your case, the unboxing was a deal breaker. I’d say I met my goal. I even commented on how I wasn’t happy the way they shipped it. Pro Tip: Never buy an Amazon product full price. They have a million sales every year. I honestly interact with this Echo every single day, multiple times. I am quite pleased with my purchase. Thanks for watching!
Sound is pretty decent,im more than happy with my new spots.
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching!
Well made video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed! Hope it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
You can set a alarm by voice command.
Yes! It’s very convenient
Also alarm is set in the cloud and not internal device. U can see the alarm on the alexa app.
Good job
Thank You! Much Appreciated! Hope you found parts of it helpful.
At least there's no advertising with these,I have 3👍

You can see the screen outline in different lighting for sure. I wouldn’t say it looks bad.
Thanks for watching!

Can you snooze audibly or must hit button?

@@TheGardenDefenderReviews thank you just purchased it
Mine does not display the correct time. I tried to change the time zones that come in the settings. Does not adjust.
In the Alexa app, on your phone or tablet, in the list of devices, find your echo spot. Click on the gear icon to access the settings. Scroll toward the bottom of the setting and find “device location”, right above time zone setting. Make sure that is the correct location.
I did that but does not reset.

Only worth the discount price of $45 during the prime days and black friday. Not worth the full $80 price.

I almost stopped when he complained about the box.
