I’ve got the touring version of the WRS screen and it’s made a huge difference. I’ve noticed that quite a few MotoGP teams use them as well

I suspect you know this already but do not use paper when cleaning your screen, use a cloth preferably microfiber. I actually use 2 when I’m home. One behind to support the pressure, and one on the front to do the cleaning. 🤓
Haha yeah I'm surprised at what people use to clean their bikes!! I've got dedicated waffle glass towels I use along with microfibre towels. Good idea to support from behind!

I bought the KTM touring screen for the sas. Did a 2500 km trip and it was way better than the stock screen as far as side wind coming around those cutouts. I since added the Puig extender that I had on the original KTM screen. Makes it even better.

@axelfiraxa it's actually not that bad. I mean, the bike does look better without a tall windscreen, but I would rather have no buffering on a long trip. The clip-on is adjustable also so I just keep it in the low position.
Enjoyed that Sam, i had trouble with the XR screens. Tried 2 before setteling in the MRA! 👍

I replaced mine ( 2018 SaS ) with a Givi D7706ST.
Works beautifully, it's clean, and it's resisting the scratches so far.
But I can't like the tall thing in the front of the bike.... i think it kills the looks, besides this being one of the more neutral ones, it's too tall for me to 100% like it.
But I can't bare live without it.... 200kph cruises are a bliss with it 😅
Ok, I'll try this one as well. Would be #4. All of them have annoying buffeting. The best I came up with is the R screen with the extra large MRA x-screen spoiler.

Haha it's annoying isnt it. The only way I managed to get the R screen to be okay was by removing the mirrors. It seems to causes SOOO much buffeting with the stock ones
@@axelfiraxa Well, it didn't. It is terrible. It only works ok with the big spoiler screen on top.
@@SamVBikes Interesting! Recently I noticed that a full tank bag also helps. The aerodynamics of this bike are just bad.

Hi Sam how many miles did you get out of the dunlop trailmax raids after?
I put about 3k miles on them before swapping them out to go on the France trip 2 up. Didn't want to ruin them just motorway munching. I reckon I'll get another 2k out of them easily when they go back on

I have real trouble with screens and spent thousands over the years trying to get something that works, not had a lot of success. Although height is a factor body shape is more important for screen height or shape. In my case if I compare myself to TMF only because he always comments on his height and leg length. I’m 6’ 1” with a 32” possibly 33” inside leg, he says he is 5’8” with a 32” inside leg so by those measurements I sit between 4” & 5” higher in the seat than he does.
I understand your frustration! So many people say screens are perfect.. you spend your hard earned money on it and it ends up being no better than others. I try to throw my height and leg length into these vids to help but it's definitely not a fool-proof method
@@SamVBikes unfortunately screens are unlike most items to buy. Whether you buy in store or online most items can be returned if they don’t quite fit but screens need to be fitted tried in the bike, if it doesn’t work then that’s just tough because you can’t take it off and expect to return it, hence a loft full of useless screens.
