    I want to hope that Subaru and Toyota are aware of this. I own a 23 and the signal range on the keyfob is horrendous. I can walk 10FT from the car with the fob in my pocket and it doesn't take unlock commands. I believe they cut down a lot on the signal range to counteract this issue on newer gens. Thanks for posting this vid though.

      No problem!
      Yes, I know what you mean. I noticed I can't lock the BRZ unless I spam the key fob from like 10 ft away. Its very frustrating. But I can see this being beneficial. Honestly, it's better to be safe than sorry. I am glad to add these extra barriers to my car just incase.

    Owners should also know that the factory alarm isn’t actually set and the dealer probably didn’t set it either. Page 81 in the owners manual tells you how to activate it/deactivate (GR86) not sure about the BRZ. I was surprised literally went a year without knowing it wasn’t set.

    I have faraday pouchs and they definitely work for the key fobs. Would you need anything else for say if you can remote start your vehicle with your phone?

    Funny thing is that The GR86 has a factory alarm but it has to be activated after it get to the dealership and most of them don't do it.

    Had to comment to say I really like the styling on your car man. I really don't like those basic stereotypical car guy ones. The spoiler plus the matching bottom bit looks great, especially because the angles match up pretty well. That being continued on the front lip is just great
    Really great car and one of the few custom BRZs that I actually like
    Great tips btw too
    I will be implementing this for mine

      Thank you! I really appreciate the comment and I'm glad you like the sudtle build!
      I tried to keep my car a bit simple. Eventually, I was planning on getting a GT Spoiler, but prices have been too high lately, so I'm just waiting for a bit.
      I will soon make an update video of everything and explain what the products are. A lot of it is inexpensive and easy to install. Currently been very busy so I didn't have time.

      @@Aerowolfofficial How are you liking the badgeskin overlay? Green looks good!

    • @Aerowolfofficial
      @Aerowolfofficial  9 месяцев назад

      @FujiboHeavy I like it for the most part. Honestly, it looks great when its turned on. But in the sunlight, it looks a bit odd for me. I had to get used to it. Also from a distance in the sun the headlights look blacked out. But yeah other than that, I like it a lot and don't regret the purchase. I may get another color in the future, however.

    Every new car uses rolling code for the anti theft. Transmitters will pick up the signal but it will not match the car. So it wouldnt unlock. I have the flipper zero and can confirm it doesn’t work on my 17 STI but does work on my 04 GS300

    Are those mudguards in front of the rear wheel? They look good

    • @Aerowolfofficial
      @Aerowolfofficial  9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm glad you like em. No, they aren't mud guards from my knowledge. Subaru calls them "Under Spoilers." This ones not from Subaru, but its a replica of their STI Lip Kit. It's a strange piece, but it does make the car look a lot better, in my opinion.

    I know they say 100 meters but man mine doesn’t seem to actually relay anything to the car unless I’m within 20 feet literally no more than that or it’s a gamble

    • @Aerowolfofficial
      @Aerowolfofficial  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah, I believe Subaru and Toyota have shortened the range of their fobs. I walk across the street from the car, and it's still fairly close, but I can't use the fob on it.
      But that's the best part and I am glad they did this.
      Even with that in place, I still prefer the extra security of the fob pouch and turning off the fob itself.

    Also did you coincidentally name your name the same as aerowolf who makes mirror visors

    • @Aerowolfofficial
      @Aerowolfofficial  9 месяцев назад

      Nope. I don't know who that is. I made up my name based on my 370z's chassis mounted spoiler. It's kind of annoying that someone had it first, so I may end up changing it.

    This is the reason why I just don't like keyless entry, it is less secure than just simply turning the key in the door. I understand the convenience about this but at the end of the day it is not worth the risk. I would rather have someone shatter the window of my car and then steal it rather than having them simply hack my key fob and just going in my car without anyone giving a shit.

    • @Aerowolfofficial
      @Aerowolfofficial  6 месяцев назад

      I can see your POV on the matter. In a lot of cases, however, it's actually more secure to not have a key. Not all cars but some cars are very secure. Subaru is one of them. They are not impossible to break into (as some claim) but they have a lot of extra security programmed into each fob. You'd have to learn how to decode encrypted data and have the supplies to achieve a successful theft. While a key requires brute force and some lessons on hotwiring. But again, I see your point. Keyless entry is more discrete most of the time. That's why so many Lexus models and Dodge models get stolen with ease.

    • @angelabov3n
      @angelabov3n 6 месяцев назад

      Don't even get me started with the KIA's and The Hyundai's. It is so tragic to the owners of those cars. I know with time these keyfobs will become more secure but this also means that this gives more time for hackers to find new ways to hack into these keyfobs. @@Aerowolfofficial
