Even though I knew it was going to happen, George’s death was still very sad. I’m glad the creators decided to make George a good dad instead of the adulterous drunk TBBT had portrayed him.
I like to think that Sheldon decided to remember his father this way because he didn't want to deal with his grief regarding him it's a comfortable lie I live in
He never had an affair .. what Sheldon saw was Mary in a costume

Even though I knew it was coming ... George Sr's death ... well ... was kinda hard to deal with.
My DAD had heart problems, & passed away suddenly from a heart attack. BY FAR THE WORSE 💔 PHONE CALL I EVER RECEIVED. My DAD was a Marine veteran & a 22yr member of the Marion County Sheriff's Department ... the funeral procession was miles long, with more "police" cars/red & blue lights than you could ever imagine !!!
I like how the scene slowly gets darker, when they open the door the light is already very focused on the character while in the beginning of the scene it was very around the place
What a great show it's ending Saddens Me.
I remember from the thanksgiving episode of the Big Bang theory, Sheldon said his dad died when he was 14. He was born in 1980, so that means this happened in 1994. Earlier in this episode, when the university president counts down the days of Sheldon leaving, we can see the calendar of May starting on a Sunday, and according to the shows timeline the only year it would happen is 1994. So after I saw that I figured wait it has to happen soon, and sure enough unfortunately it happened at the end of this episode.
I Feel so bad for the principal. He's forced to deliver the Cooper family sheer heartbreak.
We all knew it was coming but we were not ready to hear those words that George had a second heart attack and didn’t make it this time
What a great show its sad to see it end and see george sr go R.I.P George SR
At the last part when everyone was getting ready and george wasn’t there, I thought someone’s going to come and give that news. Just like it happened

They should have showed George having the heart attack.. then calling Mary who goes to the school .. George didn't get a final scene

Once Sheldon and Missy became pre teens, they were awful children. Mary and the twins were the lease interesting people on the show at that point/ Mary was constantly angry and terrible to George. Truth be told, Sheldon was a pain in the ass since childhood with anything goes and no repercussions. I don't care how smart he was.

Cannot understand why fans of Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory say they are shocked and surprised by George Sr's death, that they didn't see this coming, really? Then you have been lying all along and really are not fans of this show or TBBT, where adult Sheldon first referenced that his father died when he was 14 and it was mentioned way before Young Sheldon became a series, so when Young Sheldon did debut it should have been obvious since season one episode one that eventually George was going to die, it was only appropriate that they do it at the ending of the series. So no it was no surprise to me.
They knew it was coming, but still have the same reaction as if they didn’t know, because he’s a loved character
During Bigg bang we didn't know how George was.. but in young sheldon- everybody liked his character and it was something nobody wanted to happen to a likable character
