While watching the first episode, I kept remarking that I was amazed by how casting found someone who looked so much like Laurie Metcalf and how the actress really nailed her mannerisms. It warmed my heart to see the role was played by her real-life daughter.

@@AprilScott-ke9fn They need to keep it going like they did with Friends, I think it's on the same level, I just can't get enough of it, and 18 minutes per episode isn't long enough! I bet they can film a Full series/season, in a single day, or maybe 2 at the most.
This show is something you can get addicted to. It is so good, so funny and original. I love Missy and ofc the queen of sass Meemaw.

I love Annie Potts as Meemaw; she’s smart, and also a bit naughty and her love life with Dale is hilarious!

I am grateful to have Jim Parsons and Iain Armitage virtually enter into my life. These two men really portrayed their shared character Sheldon Cooper perfectly in TBBT and "Young Sheldon", respectively.
As for Iain, his version is highly relatable for me. If we were to interact, I would be curious on his thoughts on science education, religion, and trains. It's absolutely true that he's a theater fan given the productions he watched so far (including "Here Lies Love"). I'm hoping his series will be available on Netflix Philippines soon!
Hopefully, either or both of them will visit Asia (including the Philippines) soon!
The kids are clearly naturally talented and gifted actors. May their futures continue to be bright. ❤

George Sr. & Meemaw are my favorites. Hopefully, the writers will devise a way for George to NOT be erased completely from the show. He's become such a positive influence on his family.
It’s likely good that they will in season 7, as the actors are growing faster than they’re supposed to be in the series. Sheldon and Missy are supposed to be 14 in season 7, and yet have just turned 15 irl not too long ago. The series cannot go on forever, and George’s inevitable death is a perfect way to end the series. Plus, the children practically stuck to this series their entire teenage lives wouldn’t be good for their social lives or mental well-being, as they are usually in a studio for most of their day.
Meemaw is so adorable...she's playing a fantastic role 👏

Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory are two of the best and popular comedy sitcoms of all time!!! They're my favorites and I watch them everyday on TBS & they still hold up till this day. The casting for both comedies are perfect especially Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper who also produced and narrated Young Sheldon plus won 7 awards for his phenomenal & outstanding performance in TBBT. Lance Barber is the best choice for Sheldon's father "George Cooper Sr" who is my favorite character from the prequel series, I'm not ready to see him go in the upcoming season.
I'm hoping George's twin brother shows up for the funeral and decides to stick around to help out his brother's widow. Slap a beard on Lance Barber and call him uncle Pete.

They are all so natural in acting! Our 11 yr old daughter told me and Dad about Young Sheldon. I never got into BBT so I wasn’t interested. But as she was watching an episode I had to go all the way back and start with episode one. I think I completed all seasons in a few weeks lol Ready for season 7 🎉

Just started watching this series on Netflix a few weeks ago. Love it and love them ALL, to tears.Each one is special! They are superb actors and so funny. Also the other actors with smaller roleschurch, school, neighbours hysterically funny. Just a fabulous cast.They make me laugh out loud. Their lines are ingenious.Thanks to to the producers, for such wonderful entertainment!

Annie Potts is our favorite on the show also, she's the one that makes the show great. If they didn't have her the show would be boring just like Jim Parsons on Big Bang Theory he's the one who made that show a hit just like Annie Potts.

Casting Lance Barber as George Cooper Sr. is just so hilarious for me. We probably know that he portrayed Leonard's high school bully Jimmy Speckerman in TBBT. Thus, it makes me think that he converted to Hinduism and was reincarnated.

Dick Wolf, creator and producer of the “Law and Order” franchise, also uses the same actors. An example I can think of right off the top of my head is Kelli Giddish who had a guest appearance in “Law and Order: SVU” and “Law and Order: Criminal Intent” before becoming a regular cast member of the former.

I never watched big bang theory before watching Young Sheldon. I and my wife are so captivated with the show, in 2 weeks we completed 2 seasons and third season is going strong! I now started to watch big bang theory. But young Sheldon is more fun. Love every character in young Sheldon. More the dad’s character, as I had my share of experiences with my current 22 yr old growing up !
