    Such a good whiskey. Love the viscosity and the finish. I don’t regret buying this one at all. Fun video!

    My most expensive bottle is $100 a store pick available only from them for the state of Missouri.

    In a manner of speaking, I've paid $300 for 1 bottle to date, but it was in the form of a 375ml scotch for $150. I'd only be willing to spend $300 if it was a 2-way or 3-way bottle split, no more than a 5-way bottle split in order to attain sufficient experience.

    Rare Breed is now $49.99. It's getting to the cutoff where I'm not sure it's great at that price.

    Mr Sam B2 was pretty meh for me, especially when factoring the cost, but B3 was pretty fantastic. Still not buying a penny over MSRP, but I did pay for a pour of it in Indy last fall. For me and my preference, I would rather have a GTS or WLW.

    I've seen Mister Sam on a store shelf recently -for $3K ! 😬Needless to say it's still there as far as I know.

    great review, as always but that price makes it a pass for me, plus my palate isnt good enough to justify it.

    What would you recommend for a $200 bourbon that I can actually get in North Carolina? Something for special occasions with bourbon nerds.

      Here in NC, we don't see a lot of these types of offerings. I'd recommend store picks (Old Forester, for example). They are great for sharing with fellow bourbon buddies. You don't have to buy a $250+ bottle to bring something great to the party. My opinion. KP from NC (Alamance County).

      It's so tough as distribution is so different, and it's difficult to recommend a bottle that pricey without knowing what you love first. Making broad sweeping recommendations without knowing someone's palate preferences feels pretty reckless to us when so much money is in question so we're almost always a "try before you buy" at that price point. If forced to make a recommendation though, for readily available shelf stuff in most markets, it's hard to beat Calumet 14-16 year bottlings. They're a good balance of proof, flavor, and age that we enjoy, although some do find them too oaky or medicinally cherry-forward, so keep that in mind if either of those things aren't your thing. Truthfully, our favorite bottles are single barrel picks, whether they're our own picks or picks from our local store or other channels that have similar palate preferences to us.

    I don’t pay more than $200 for ANYTHING! (At least not yet 😉) - and out of a 150 bottle non-funded (except for my wallet) bourbon collection, I’ve only spent $200 twice.

    I'd find it difficult to spend $300 on a bottle of whiskey. Maybe find a few friends who would be willing to agree on a few shared bottles. If someone sees one grab it and split it equally 🤔🥃

    • @ps138vs2cavi
      @ps138vs2cavi 15 дней назад

      😂 technically percentage wise you're still spending $300 for a bottle. Unless I guess you don't have $300, but I'm assuming you're saying it's just not worth $300 for a bottle. In which case I agree. I wouldn't spend $100 on a bottle personally, but depends on the person and how much they value it
