The look on Erins face is truly PRICELESS at the 8:57 mark!
I really enjoyed this video and completely agree with Josh's favorite batches of Stagg. Cheers!
@@thomasgallagher1945 I interpreted that look as "you better think twice before you choose a bottle of whiskey over me!"
@@ianreynolds494 As a long time married man, I know that look all too well, thats what made it sooo funny --- poor Josh!
Love these videos! But I need a video of all the thumbs down pours…the worst of the worst. I want to see the Top 10 Drain Pours! 🤢😂
It’s been asked a time or two and we very well may. It’s a short list but quite interesting.
Great episode! The JDSBBP is soooooo good. I like the Sinatra Blend as well. Great luck on the barrel pick!!!!
I didn't like Knob Creek 12 the first glass, but the overwhelming oak subsided and now I love it.
Glenlivet 12 is expensive enough here that I buy the smaller bottle - and that works out well, since I only want barley whisky, especially Scottish and Irish stuff, every once in a while, and usually not for long.
JD SBBP is *gorgeous.*
I saw Erin's choices and was waiting for Josh's! Thanks!
I must try the Peerless Double Oak, excellent video... Thank you
SJR 22A is a hitter. Get your hands on a 24A!! Dynamite! And thanks for the heads up on RB NCF - got my first bottles of that this week and it slays regular RB and Kentucky Spirit in a blind.
Try blending the knob creek 12yr with a knob creek 9yr SIB 120 proof. Maybe 70:30. Kicks up the proof a little without sacrificing too much age.
Love Teeling Blackpitts and it is only $62 in my market. I just opened a 34 year old IB of Bunnahabhain to share with a friend. It is by far the best whisky that I have ever tasted.
High proof punch is usually nice, but a high proof easy sip has so much flavor and nice sometimes to just enjoy. I was fortunate enough to work a trade and got a HH 17yr a few months ago and agree it’s two thumbs up! Cheers
I completely get where you're coming from on KC 9 and 12. I keep both on hand. Some days I absolutely love them. Sometimes, they're just meh for me. No other line swings so wide for me. No idea why.
I do not like peated...but I have ventured out from bourbon and rye and own some american single malts and some non peated scotches. Cheers
Erin is hilarious. “Whiskey is not a priority in my life,” says the pro whiskey RUclipsr. Keep up the good work
We’re definitely not pros at anything whiskey related. Just having fun.
Y'all are fun to watch...@@stuffandwhiskey
JD is just the best distillery right now when taking everything into account. Interesting and very good special releases at reasonable prices. They release a good bit of their special releases as well. Amazing available products (The JD Single Barrel and BPs).
I’d love to get my hands on the Peerless DO rye, but I passed on the local Total Wine that had it for $125.
Great list. Batch 16 and 22A are my favorite Staggs. I love the inclusion of Scotch
Have you tried the Glenlivet Founder's Reserve? I think it's a little cheaper than the 12 and it's a super easy drinker. I've tried some of their other stuff like the 14 and the Rum finish that I also like but I keep going back to the Founder's Reserve.
We haven’t but will keep an eye out. Cheers!
22A was hands down my favorite stagg I own in a blind.
Love that the mid 60s KC12 is almost a shelfer in OKC the last maybe 6 months, though I feel the mood poor vibe. When it was once in a blue moon, I bought it when I saw it, so I have 2.5 bottles, and I probably need to revisit KC9, cuz early in my journey, it wasn’t for me. I haven’t seen a Stagg Jr.since my 16 and 17, and I hear there has been a drop off since, but I ration those bottles. ECBP…blind buy for one bottle…and honestly maybe it is a good sign that both of those year’s batches are still gettable here, cuz they aren’t C923, but we do seem to be on an up-swing. I retried the Peerless Double Oaked Rye at the site after buying the dbl bourbon, and it still wasn’t quite as for me.
…and for me, Calumet 15 and 16 are pretty close to fungible with my Lucky 7 14 year….which is fortunate.
Thanks for your summary list!!! KP from NC
Erin you are more of a Whiskey nerd than you know. Yeah you can't remember things about specific distilleries sometimes. But you remember specific batches of Stagg and Found North that are your favorites.
Wish you would leave the bottles up or provide a list so I could screen shot them at the end. You are making me to work to hard listening them. 😅
Wish we had that much space on the table top to leave them all up. As much as I talk with my hands, I'd be knocking bottles over left and right with a table full in front of me. 😂
@@stuffandwhiskey just wait to the very end then Erin can slap your hands when you talk with them, Lol. My spouse is a hand talker too.
Never say never Josh. Remember you are the proud owner of a KoK courtesy of Justin. You never thought that would happen.
Fun list! EH Taylor Barrel Proof too balanced! No idea what your tasting there....
Glenlevit 12 32 bux here in NorCal Costco. I’m trying to like it. Just gimme the KC….
Knob Creek In Oklahoma is 99.00
KC12? Sheesh! Highest we’ve heard.
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
Lol... I just thought about how much of a waste of money my knob creek 12 was... after liking it in the past.
I have those days too. It’s a rollercoaster relationship with that bottle.
My first glass of Knob Creek 12 was nothing but oak, but it opened up and now I love it. But I know about tastes changing - I used to like 1792 Small Batch, but now I don't particularly care for it.
KC12 for $45?? MSRP is $70, so whoever is selling it for $45 is selling at a loss/breaking even with wholesale.
It’s out there for that in several states surprisingly.
I was thinking the same thing! If I can get it at 80 I'm doing well!
Cheers 🍻
This is going to get expensive isn't it.....
😂😂
i will admit i was thinking 13 of them might be Nashville barrel bottles 😂 before i realized these were from the sample pool
I enjoyed this video. It's the first I've seen of your show. I subscribed and sent you an email.
