- Is this a thing in other hockey arenas? All this buildup and hype at the arena for an NHL playoff game? Granted, this is the Eastern Conference Final, but 10 minutes of hype? I love hockey, I played hockey, and I refereed hockey up until a few years ago, but really? What are your thoughts?

Agree, way too much. Televised sports are taking their cues from the WWE. A diversion at best.

I would rather see the Devils than the Rangers playing my Panthers. Although I am originally from Pennsylvania and I’m still a Penguins fan.

Playoff games are truly special. Hope for the Oilers & Panthers to play for Lord Stanley's Mug!! Canadian/American finals in seven would be cool. Wouldn't mind if Maurice takes the cup with the Panthers, always liked the lad when he coached my Jets.
If my Panthers get bumped out, I will be rooting for the Oilers as I am still rooting for them now. If it ends up being Oilers and Panthers, I’m going to be a bit conflicted.
Do y'all just hate fun and want the sport to not grow? All people do nowadays is complain about everything, 50% of the NHL has on ice screening (Rangers do too what a shocker) and the organization's goal is to hype these fans up and keep them entertained especially when this is the first time the panthers have ever used on ice projection

I actually went to a hockey game last night. I mean yesterday afternoon. One of my buddies drove. I wasn’t very comfortable, but I was able to pull it off.
