- So I have decided to join the ranks of the "Pony Analysis" crew, and make my own video discussing the origins of Celestia and Luna.
This is my first big analysis/headcanon video, so there are probably a few mistakes. I hope you all like it, and if you want more just leave a comment telling me so! :)

If Celestia and Luna were natural alicorns, and they were confused by Flurry Heart then they may had meant that they had never seen a natural alicorn that had been born from a unicorn and an artificial alicorn. But that’s just a theory. “A fILm ThEoRy-“ Not today MatPat! (Sorry i had to-)

I headcanon that Celestia and Luna went through something before the earliest time we know of that made them forget their pasts. They were born alicorns, but they have no memory of having them when they were younger.
These MLP backstory vids were my childhood. I was feeling nostalgic and decided to watch them again. Truly a great series.

I remember watching this ages ago with my best friend when we were young-ish, she thought it was fake and I was like "Well it's probably just a story they wrote" and looking at this like 4 years later I now realise this is pretty smart even know the "born alicorns" thing was disproven, still a thoughtful theory and some of it could be true

PLEASE stop telling me this headcanon is completely destroyed because of season 4, because it is NOT. Only the parts about Nightmare Moon and the creation of the Elements have been disproven. Even then after the Elements were created they could have been placed in the tree by Clover and her friends. There is plenty more in this headcanon that still holds up.

Agreed. I use this video and others to base my own ideas around, and you should all know that a headcanon is subject to change from the canon. If something is disproved it does not make the whole thing null. Just take out the parts that no longer fit and put in what we now know as canon, and remember that we will continue to learn more as the show continues. You shouldn't be hard on a headcanon if something becomes irrelevant, as the canon is always growing.
Defending Ink here, I'd like to say that theories can change to new presented information. All of her theories were completely true until the show showed what was canon, which will change her view. Please understand what theories and head canons are! How do you know if the head canon is right or not, guys? Love and Toleration!

I believe Cadance would have been originally a unicorn, because in one episode she tells Twilight, "I guess when it comes to flying, I'm a bit out of practice." And she knows how to use her horn very well. Enough to keep a force field up until collapsing from exhaustion.

Alicorns are from all three tribes, their fancy wings represent pegisi, their crowns represent unicorns (because the crowns are near their horns), and the fancy shoe thingies represent earth ponies!

in my head celestia's and luna's parents names were queen galaxsia and king cosmos the were the rulers of equestria but their mother also controls the sun and the planets around the solar system but their dad was powerful than their mother and very powerful than the elements of harmony. he illuminates meteors from earth and also controls the eclipes of the moon and their family grew larger. although some of the selfish unicorns tried to destroy harmony in equestria they were not able to. their family was a tribe of natural alicorns. the lived so far from equestria. then when celestia and luna were sent to equestria to became the rulers when they are old enough and also lead the younger unicorns soon to be an alicorn but cadence is different she was the first pegasus to ever be an alicorn she was a crystal pony but her named after the crystal heart and her mother's named queen ruby and father king shining crystal. they were defeated by king sombra but cadence ran away to a forest and earth ponies from a village found her and adopted her for few years by the time she earned her cutie mark from giving everypony love and she was teleported to a strange place her she was adopted by celestia. and the story goes on and on.

She's the oldest and tallest out of all of them. Luna and Cadence are about the same size, and their wings are almost identical in terms of structure. Twilight is the youngest and smallest alicorn, and her wings are also unique to her. It just depends on how grown the alicorn is

Well I agree, but for sure Luna and Celestia we're almost the same age cause the reason that Celestia looks older in the show than Luna is because Luna was stuck in the moon 1000 years and when she came back she didn't age at all that was why Luna didn't have the flowing mane in season 1 when she came back! Also I'm NOT trying to ruin or insult anybody's opinion I am just stating my opinion, thank you for reading this despite how long it is (also sorry for that) one more thing please tell me all your theories about this I'd love to hear them! :)

Either they made it so the sisters weren't born alicorns, they weren't born in Equestria, or both. The Brony Notion did a really good video on the subject with his own headcanons and theories.

I think because it was after Lauren left MLP so I think the people working on that episode at the time made so Flurry was the only natural born alicorn to make it interesting. I don't think they knew about Lauren saying the royal sisters were natural born alicorns, or if they did they didn't care because she left anyway. 🤷

Ink i have a headcannon about how time travel started.
In the end it turned out only the pillars had anything to do with the elements, but this way the story sounds more epic.

She is saying that there are different types of alicorns. Cadence is artificial she ages normally while celestia and Luna are natural they mature slower but age faster making them seem immortal

My headcanon is pretty different than most of the ones I've seen. In my headcanon, many, many tens of thousands of years ago, there were four families of alicorns that controlled different aspects of the world and the universe. Slightly similar to your headcanon, Ink Rose, but it's not quite the same. I'll list the families from strongest to weakest. The Sing family controlled time, space, and the distant stars. The Dance family controlled the changing of seasons, weather, and the growth of plants. The Sun and Moon families had equal power, and controlled their namesakes. After a few thousands of years, the families decided to test their magic. They gathered at the central room, around the Life Crystal, a huge gem with the ability to enhance the power of spells cast around it. The Sing family poured their magic into the crystal, and the first unicorn was created, stepping out from the crystal. The Dance family cast their magic next, and out of the crystal stepped the first Earth pony. Finally, the Sun and Moon families combined their magic, and the first pegasus stepped out from the crystal. Their magic spent, the four families rested, recovering quickly after their powerful spells had used most of their strength. I'll spare the details of the Celestial War between the Sun and Moon families, aside from the rulers of the two warring families: Daydream Sun, and Nightmare Moon. The war was long and bloody, but finally peace was made by locking Daydream Sun within a set of golden armor, and Nightmare Moon within silver armor. Luna and Celestia are the descendants of a union between a Sun family alicorn with one from the Moon family. Their cutie marks in my headcanon are the crests of the Sun and Moon families. The four families eventually dwindled before disappearing. Only the Dance family remained aside from the descendants of the few alicorns that remained. The Dance family was ruled by a tyrant known as Hawk Dance. His daughter, Moth Dance (my alicorn OC) fled the kingdom, and she is the last of her family, as are Celestia and Luna. So, yeah. This is the abbreviated version.

Wow. As a beginning I really liked the headcannon... That mostly looked like a written fanfiction ; you should write it down, if haven't already done so. But most of all, I have to congratulate you for the credits. It may seem silly, but being able to sing a cappella alone without creating a single moment some cringy atmosphere, that's really huge.

pelipoika they didn't really debunked the headcanon with flurry heart. Lauren Faust specifically made it clear that Celestia and Luna were born Alicorns. The writers in season 6 are brand new writers that are not familiar with the actual source material and headcanon. That's kinda the big issue here.

If you pay close attention,in one My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic episode we are basically told Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were not born as alicorns.
Nope, the show even states that Equestria was made after they were born and when they came to rule
They said it is something EQUESTRIA has never seen. They probably weren't born in Equestria and even still the creator, Lauren Faust, said that Luna and Celestia were born alicorns.

True, but if it goes by Genetics, technically everyone has some percentage of Earth, Unicorn & Pegasi in them. As both Pound Cake and Pumpkin cake take after their great grandparents(it was great right?) instead of their Earth pony parents.
That is incorrect. Earth pony’s have the talent of straight. Hence in the episode of M.L.P, winter wrap up, all the earth pony’s plowed the fields with ease, while twilight had to use magic. Therefor,

Well, the fact that being an allicorn is good but later on in the show, there's flurry heart, and cozy glow, really there is an incredible amount of magical power about this concept, so technically all you have to do is get the enough amount of magic

4:36 this is revealed later in the series that there were six pillars of equestria including star swirl, and not all of them are unicorns. But with there magic they somehow created a magical seed and planted it hoping that it one day would grow into something powerful. That i think was just before they confronted the pony of shadows aka stitchien and when they got stuck in limbo. At the time they had no idea that it would later become the tree of harmony and create the elements.
