Yeah, I always wondered that too. I feel like in the final episode they should have shown Flurry Heart and given her some screen time. Like maybe she was visiting Ponyville asking for some help on being a new ruler. This would show her, and Twilight are close. I think that would have been cooler than just one clip of a glass wall photo showing what she now looks like. Plus, two parter ending episodes would have been nice.
I think Flurry Heart just had a genetic mutation that allowed her to gain Cadence's alicorn blood and Shining Armor's unicorn blood (refer back to your biology lessons for more)
We don't know much about Cadance's parents; maybe one them was an Earth Pony (and the other a Pegasus). So, Flurry Heart might have the magic of all three pony races in her bloodline.
Personally, I think her cutie mark from the game is actually her TV show cutie mark with maybe a slightly different design such as a colour change maybe.
Flurry's cutie mark was actually revealed, if you google Gameloft Future Flurry Heart it comes up with the adult version of her and shows her cutie mark. It's a canon game and if you look at Flurry's mural, the crystal heart with the yellow flashing behind it that's beneath her is actually her cutie mark. Imo that mural is depicting Flurry actually getting her mark
My theory that I follow in my universe all comes down to genetics, and it relies on the theory that Celestia and Luna are different kinds of alicorns. In my fanfic universe, there are 4 types of alicorns. The first type comes from the Lost Kingdom of Skyros. All of the alicorns in Skyros were born as an earth pony, unicorn, or pegasus (referred to by them as earth alicorns, horned alicorns, and winged alicorns), and eventually earned their horns and/ or wings, usually along with their cutie marks. No magical intervention was needed, because it was as much a part of their biology as cutie marks are to Equestrian ponies. Skyros type alicorns live much longer than other ponies, with a lifespan of around 1,500 to 2,000 years. Canon character examples include Celestia and Luna. The second type is an Equestrian pony who was turned into an alicorn magically. Such a spell can only be performed by the Spirit of Harmony itself, but is typically overseen by a current alicorn. Changing an Equestrian pony into an alicorn requires altering their biology, but not quite enough to make them Skyros type alicorns since they are still biologically Equestrian ponies to some extent. For currently unknown reasons, only biological mares are able to be turned into alicorns. Magically created alicorns have a longer lifespan than Equestrian ponies, around 500-700 years. It's true we don't know alot Cadence but we do know Cadence is a Shorting of her name being Mi Amore cadenza (Cantrlot Wedding ) and A character for the comics Amore was confirmed by the writers of the show to be an ancestor of princess Cadence. In Twilight and the Crystal Heart spell book we get the fact was found by two Earth ponies as a Pegasus and how she became a princess being she stopped Prisma an evil unicorn buy purifying the necklace she was wearing (those kind of saying that she had powerful Love magic even as a Pegasus). So maybe go Cadence was not born directly as a alicorn she carried some of the genes necessary to give the flurry. In the crystalline Celestia Luna do not say "alicorns have not been born before" why do they say "Equestria has not seen the birth of an alicorn before" making flurry heart the first known alicorn to Equestria. And we know as well that alicorns are more powerful than the three races of ponies be a combination of all three so yeah she's going to be more powerful. To fix the heart the energy from the citizens for flurry into the purest Crystal so it was pure Love for flurry going into the crystal to fix the heart. Don't we see her cutie mark for the last problem in a mural of Twilight sparkle's throne room or at least in the mural we see flurries doing something with the heart she'll probably advanced its power. So hurricane Mark is probably similar to cadence's only not having the things that are holding the crystal heart but the crystal heart shining bright. Also throughout the series the crystal heart is reference to do two things.... Bring love and light.
