I love how you allowed Sam to explain each room, and then you showed it in all its glory with actors and lights! Gives those of us hundreds of miles away a real sense of the actual walkthrough! Great stuff!
wow ! the attention to detail of this young man is unreal .. every inch of this haunt is perfectly planned and executed.. amazing.. very good .. Imagine what he will come up with next..
Well done. When I was a little kid I always wanted to open up a haunted house. There were several times I'd theme up my room and have my parents walk through it. The best I could come up with is having my parents stand in my closet, I'd tie a string around one of my large stuffed animals and toss it on the top shelf of my closet and then I'd yank it down while they were standing inside it. It was funny how well it worked.. actually now that I think about it, that is one of my last memories of my parents being together before they separated (nothing to do with the haunted room scare.. I hope anyway 🤣)
Awesome haunt! I haven’t seen the movie because I am a kid and I’m also too scared but this was really cool. I love all the tiny details you added even knowing not many people would notice them. It makes it feel so real.
What an impressive young man! Can’t wait to see what he’s doing in 5 years time! I saw an interview with his parents on the “Epic Home Haunts” documentary- so great to see supportive parents who encourage their kids to be creative and “different”.
Holy Elaborate Batman! That was pretty awesome! Like stepping into the movie. I wonder what his line look like sending them in one at a time 🤔 Thanks for sharing y’all!
The one night we were there the line was getting pretty long but I'm not sure if it was an issue everynight they were open. I think they had more people show up than they thought they would. News spreads fast!
I like the fact that he has red eyeshine as he's explaining the TV. Not an element from the film, but it definitely adds to the creep-factor of the walk-through.
I had to watch it in college as a requirement...because it was 15 years ago and I wasn't impressed with it, I pretty much forgot what the movie was about-a forgettable movie. But I love watching the creativity and ingenuity of a haunt creator.
great video awesome haunted house , but please learn how to use an audio compressor if you are going to have your cameraman talk , and you are not using a boom microphone....His voice is 10 decibles louder than anyone else ..otherwise great job
Thanks for the feedback! Professional camera and filming people we are NOT. We only record video using our cell phones and are not technical people at all. Some day Jennifer, some day!
You asked if you ever wanted to pull a fire alarm. I was a security officer at a nuclear production plant and every Thursday they would test the fire alarms pull stations so within a year every pull station would be checked. One of my jobs on my shift I would be given a pull station number and at a appointed time I would get to pull the alarm. Then I would replace the glass rod and reset the pull station. It was one of my favorite duties of my job.
Not to be a buzzkill but there insurance cover this? I’m a bit worried people suing and ruining a good time. It’s a shame all these people didn’t live on the same block it would pretty sweet have haunts at each house.

Very well done. You can tell he's a true fan of the movie. Donnie Darko used to be my favorite movie back in high school and early college.
This was so well done it’s crazy!!! He is very talented. Totally wish this was in 2019.

Very cool haunt. I like the Darko theme. A lot of great detailing on those rooms. All that automation is crazy as well.
Sam is some kind of genius! Sam, you are going to be successful at whatever you do!!!
That is so neat to see that much talent in a young man. His future looks creepy successful! Thank you for sharing.

I'm really enjoying this video series you guys! I had no idea the home haunt scene was this extensive. :)

I like the concept. But I think I did not care for that movie back in the day. But props to him for making the haunt.

Great idea! Thanks for the tip 😀
okay so am i the ONLY person in the world who has literally never heard of this movie?
impressive
Yup.
I had to watch it in college as a requirement...because it was 15 years ago and I wasn't impressed with it, I pretty much forgot what the movie was about-a forgettable movie. But I love watching the creativity and ingenuity of a haunt creator.
Are they having it again this year??
Yes but it is a different theme this year

Any one have a lead on where to get the fake light switch and plugs?
i believe it was necrotic creations
Really cool I subbed
My haunt is still up in Riverside. I'm holding tear down until I have filmed the walk through. We had 1000 people. It was insane.
Nice we had only 100. But the fact that my haunted house even worked in The Netherlands (Europe) surprises me. Going for the 150 this year
I'd love to do a deadlands haunted house.
For those who don't know or never played the RPG, it is spaghetti western and horror game.
wonder if Jake Gyllenhaal showed up to check it out? he'd probably be the only 1 to get all the references.
The director may have made an appearance but we aren't 100% sure.
Uuuum I know this a year late but Donnie darko was 2001 not in the 80s? Themed in the 80s but filmed in 2001 lol.
Im sure all the references made were meant to the movie taking place in the 80s. Did we say it was made in the 80s somewhere? 😮
Your Description sorry.
