Nice installation. Very simple and clean. I love it that your instruction was to drill "pilot holes". I absolutely despise the term "pre-drill" that so many use now days. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe. 🙂🙂
Thanks for the demo. Tip: If you’re gonna make a jig for the router. Just make the jig to guide to the cut without needing the chisel work after to square the corners.
At 2:56 he says to clamp the hinges into position. This works only if you have not already attached the base to the chest. It is misleading if the base has already been attached. Rockler's plan for a rolling ottoman calls for attaching the base before attaching the hinges. Beware.
I forgot about these hinges. A great solution for a project for a family member.

Super helpful, thank you!
Looks much nicer than a prop rod or hydraulic closer.
Thanks for the demo.

Will these work if the back of the chest is 1.5 inches thick? I built a toy box out of 3/4 ply with a 3/4 thick face frame
Do these hinges have lift assist as well?
do you have plans available for the jig?
What if the lid is the same dimension/flush with the box. No overhang.
My question as well.

I like this product, but I feel like the video is sponsored? If yes, then why wouldn’t you disclose the sponsorship at the beginning of the video.
are these soft-close hinges?
wait -- each hinge is $40?!
