Thank you! I found some Christmas pillows on clearance for .75 and wanted to cover them for everyday use! My pillows are 16x16 and I’ve been looking for exact instructions on a no sew pillow cover!
I am so freakin proud of myself!!! THANK YOU! I just made 2 and they’re PERFECT! I wish I knew how to send you a picture but I’m completely tech illiterate! 😂😂 SO EASY! Great teacher, too!
I used to use that same fabric glue when I was 18 maybe up until I was about 25 didn't know how to sew so it was a lifesaver for me every time and since I trying to make pillow covers I mind as well give this a shot
love this video🩷. very thorough and informative!!! 👌I’m starting to make pillow covers and I used cheap hot glue and a hot glue gun. 😂 it did NOT 🙅🏼♀️ work out as it was too cheap. the fabric literally just pulled apart and I was left with a sad, dried up string of hot glue. 😅 my husband picked up some liquid stitch and I wanted to watch a video before I used it. this is PERFECT. ❤
Thanks for this video. I live in an apartment, have an old sofa, and an inherited chair that doesn't fit me. -- I'm a guy with no sewing experience or the materials / equipment to sew. I want to have some extra decorative throw pillows for the new sofa and chair I've bought. (some "seasonal" pillows) I've watched several of these how to "make a no sew pillow" demonstration videos. This is the first video that actually makes sense to me. I don't know why that is, but if you aren't, you should be a teacher ! I think some of the other people making demo vids for this project assume the "student" has sewing experience. They go a bit too fast for me with the measurement instructions. -- You used the same number of pieces of fabric, and as far as I can tell the methods are pretty much the same. I think you just did a better job of describing the steps, the methods, used better video editing (used a slower pacing of the segments/ steps), and explained the steps on an "explain like I'm five" level. I'm sure I'll be able to follow along with this video and complete 2 or 3 pillows pretty quickly once I buy some fabric. ------ I've looked at pillow covers online and have discovered most of them are ex-pen-sive! I'm sure I'll be able to make them at 1/4th the cost (or less) per pillow. -- Again, thanks!
You ROCK sista!! Love the ambience of the video and love your energy! I too am a DIY junkie! I am currently making my baby cousin, (well she’s 11 but I still refer to her as “my baby cousin”) Anyways, I’m making a Pillow out of her mother’s T-shirt ☺️
Thanks so much for this video!! My son wanted a specific fabric made into a pillow case and while I can handsew, that's a hassle and I don't have a sewing machine. Never used fabric glue before and I was nervous but your tutorial helped a lot and now he's begging for me lol
Trying to make curtains more my VW bus... I’ve tried the iron on tape (didn’t work) tried to use my moms sewing machine (hope I didn’t break it! But it was waaay to complicated and finicky) so I’m here with my fabric glue looking for tips
This looks like fun! And, love your hair like that! You're such a pretty lady, and you have such a great personality! Gonna make a pillow or two like that!! Thanks Katie!
I'll have to try this - like you, I don't have a dedicated sewing space, so the machine only comes out on certain occasions. But this is so easy and looks like it would be fun! Thanks for this tutorial.
Great video. Keep them coming. Question, can you use the fabric glue to re-stick an applique on a shirt that has come up on the corners after washing? Thanks
I love making stuff I started crowshying almost a year ago then I thought may b e I could make a pillow get some back put together and stuff and I pillow well I can't seam to get it right I made a real nice pillow for my new grandbaby but it won't stay seal 😥😔any idels
Great tutorial!! Question before I start though. The pillows I am using are firmer than the average form. In order to manipulate it into the finished cover I was thinking of using 2 inches more in my measurements. What are your thoughts on this?
Lol ive jus finished my first ever big sew project needle an thread an then saw ur video lol funny the ending great tip i have wonder web lol make try that next time
@Kim Huddleston did you try this and did your husband destroy the pillows?? Lol My couch is in dire need of new pillows as well. I have already sewn pillow covers, but with kids NOTHING stays nice for long and I’m not invested enough to sew all new ones again.
@@nessh Hey no! I honestly totally forgot about it after I got pregnant lol. And I didn't want to waste the money. although now with surrounding baby with pillows and needing support to feed, I should have lol. I totally get what you mean! Would love to know if you try it out and how it goes!
I don't have a master's degree in mathematics but it seemed pretty easy. If your pillow is 10"x10", you would say (10+6)/2 = 8. Or if your pillow is 15"x15", you would say (15+6)/2 = 10.5 and she said to round to the nearest whole number... if your masters does not support decimals. The expression she was going for is (w+6)/2. This is not an equation because you do not have an answer and cannot solve for w. You must input your width, in inches, where the variable is... a variable is a letter used for an unknown number. The "w" is unknown until you "measure" your pillow.
Going to give this project a shot?
I did!! It was super easy!! I’m going to cover pillows like crazy now!!! Thanks so much!!
Awesome!!!! Please do a video on reupholstering an entire sectional sofa without sewing. Just with glue and or staples.

So I signed up for your creator community. I haven’t received any emails. None sent yet? Or do I need to check spam.
Glad you found them! :)
Would this work well for couch pillows. They will be used a lot, just wondering if they will hold against my body building husband lol.
@Kim Huddleston did you try this and did your husband destroy the pillows?? Lol My couch is in dire need of new pillows as well. I have already sewn pillow covers, but with kids NOTHING stays nice for long and I’m not invested enough to sew all new ones again.

I've got a master's degree in mathematics and I'm still confused on how to measure that back! Hehe 🧏🤦

😂😂
😀I got a masters in Applied Economie, it is basically just the hight, 16 divided in 2 and then + 3 for the overlap.😊
You lost me at the math
