My brother in law took his own life at around the exact same age and his name was also Michael. I wasn’t super close with him but I know how devastating it was for my husbands family. I’ve lost a few of my friends the same way and while loosing someone is hard no matter how they go, loosing them that way is devastating. You ask yourself were there signs you didn’t see, could you have said or done anything to help them through their hard times until they were “out of the woods”, you ask yourself how you missed it, you blame yourself, you feel guilty, and it takes a long time to heal from that. I’m so sorry for his loss and being that close to his brother, I can’t imagine the pain he must have felt.
This is a very sweet reply ❤ My Dad took his own life. At one point I was there. I went to therapy, church & praying, lots of walking. I also work at a state park. Nature seems to help with depression as well. I am finally back to my old self. Took A LOT of work. I lost my Grandparents and it sent me into a tailspin. They were more like parents. I was there with hospice. I loved them so much it was hard to recover from it. Death of a loved one is horrific.

Side note: I'm so sorry for your loss Seb. I lost my mom to colon cancer and then 6 weeks later lost my grandma to many different cancers when I was 7 months pregnant with my 3rd baby. That was the darkest time of my life as well as the 2-3 years following. Losing someone is one of the hardest things to go through
