(Unless they are mentally ill/haven't been taught) Children are able to learn from a young age not to harm others (for example: if a kid hits another kid on the playground, an adult can give them age-appropriate consequences). Children also understand their own bodies better than anyone else ever will. Understanding the intentions of others comes with emotional intelligence children likely won't have until they're an adult (brains don't stop growing until you're 25). It is nuanced and comes with a lot of gray area. That's why Adam was not able to identify he was being taken advantage of by Colleen. He just wanted attention from someone he trusted and was willing to do what he needed to maintain that attention.

It’s the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen and I’ve never understood why anyone thought it was ok. I'm not familiar with Adam, however as someone in their mid to late 20's it makes me really upset & sad that he keeps referring to himself as, "stupid" or saying he should've known better.

@@carlnOrco I definitely get what you mean, she could of been older and just said she was 2 so it sounded less horrible or maybe she remembers pinching the dog and it biting her but didn't know about the whole situation until her parents/family told her what happened to the dog when she was older. Kinda like how I remeber being attacked by a rabbit at like 2 or 3 but I don't have memory of what happened after that to the rabbit, my mom told me later on in life that the bunny was given away to a friend of the family.
My heart is breaking for Adam. He was a CHILD, and he keeps calling himself stupid because a PREDATOR was manipulating him. This is not Adam’s fault. So *adults* have the responsibility of keeping children safe, not hurting people and following the law to keep others safe. It's so heartbreaking Adam keeps calling himself stupid. She's an expert manipulator and knows how to do psychology warfare like most child predators. Adam was just a child & the fact that colleen knew Adam's mother would respond in a negative way meant she knew EXACTLY what she was doing. I could see it, she was an adult there knowing she could manipulate a child a 13 y/o she groomed.

I was a child on the internet in the 2000s and the things I went through were not on me. I know that now. Some adults are just horrible and need so much inappropriate attention. I hope young people are encouraged to not feel guilt and speak up always.

Grew up with my children and am very liberal, not a prude neither.. but this woman.. has always always rubbed me the wrong way and I love dark and humor on the edge. Never felt her humor was directed to me as an adult though. It was weird. I wish you healing Adam. Good for you, dont let anyone make you feel small ever. You were not stupid, you were a child, she an adult. You a fan, she your idol. The power dynamic was completely out of wack. Not your fault.

I've discovered that I was also groomed by a narcissist and used. Unfortunately it took me until I was 30 to realize what was happening.
I'm really glad that you have become aware of what has happened, gotten away and you can focus on your healing from the abuse you suffered.
Part of what made figuring out I was groomed so hard is that most context for it is sexual. Your story will help others figure out what is happening far sooner than I did.
It's not fair that you have to put in the hard work to heal from this, but I truly hope you are in a space where you are able to heal from this and have the support you deserve .

✨Sloan, I appreciate that you provided Adam with a platform to speak his truth. This story needs to get out and be heard by all. Colleen needs to be held accountable for all the pain and suffering that she has put others through. Unfortunately, I am sure that there are most likely other victims out there. Hopefully, by hearing Adam stand up and tell his truth others will feel empowered and safe to do the same. We need to listen, believe, and support them all now. This woman has purposely and systematically prayed on vulnerable children. She has used her fame, money, and power dynamic as weapons against children that are her fans. They say, “Never meet your hero’s, you’ll just be disappointed”. Colleen took this to a whole new level with her fans. I’m not one to call for cancellations…However, I do believe in holding people accountable, and I believe in justice. If those don’t get met, I do believe in karma also. Karma will always find those whom deserve it.
Something is obviously very wrong with her for wanting to spend her time with a legit child in the first place. People need to realize that not all predators are the same and they can all act differently but they are STILL predators. We need to be mindful of this to protect our kids, siblings, friends etc
