    Awesome Jack . I got the Pavo pico coming baby 👍🏻 great review brother

    Hey thank you so much for the review. I was exactly thinking the same thing when the Pavo pico came out. I think it could complement the avata really great in situations where the avata is just too heavy and loud. You should really do a comparison between the Pavo pico and the mobula 8 03 version. For this specific use case I think it would be really interesting head-to-head battle.

    I think for my first FPV I'm just getting an Avata. I'll get way more flight time per battery while im taking it slow and probably still more flight time once I can fly fast. The E brake alone can save you from rookie mistakes that would put you out of commission and needing to spend more money to repair any other quad.
    Building something that can fly probably feels amazing. But the amount of money saved from building doesn't seem all that great on its own. You need to have a genuine love for bulding and tinkering with hardware for bulding to be worth it.

    I so want to be able to add an AI Compute Module to assist with one of these to develop/apply different Datasets for Advanced Functions for how they [Follow]. I love that BetaFPV!!!! I have an older FPV DJI Drone that sounds like a flying Lawn Mower that I want to keep but would sell in a heartbeat to get the Avata but would look into eventually want the Pavo Pico for safer Scene Captures, mainly Indoors when trying to do Fly Through Videos of different places that will let me Archive Visual Data for different projects.

    Great video, I probably won't buy it but I sure enjoyed watching the video. I love my Avata, I wish there were more fpvs that had altitude hold.

    nice video, helped me make up my mind on if i should get one or not, but one quick tip on the dji o3 recording camera is to set your sharpness to -1 or -2, it will produce a mutch smoother image for you

    Awesome video and comparison. Did you happen to tune the Pico from the delivered Tine?
    If so, would you be able to share it in the next video that you mentioned?
    Thanks.

    I've been out of the loop for awhile now but have been looking at this Avata and I am almost ready to sell all my drones, goggles and pretty everything to buy the Avata with goggles and controller. I'm just really overwhelmed with all of my stuff that may be why I lost interest. I'm losing alot including a practically new Evo 1 with 3 batteries, Dji Spark and my numerous fpv drones many which I've never flown. Something about the Avata peaks my interest. It's digital which I never have tried but love the video footage, I've heard it will go up to 60 mph in manual not that I'd really try that, but just love everything about it. I don't think I would go with the Beta fpv one you are showing, that's defeating my purpose. But it is interesting nonetheless.

    Nice review. There's nothing quite like the Avata, with its one axis gimbal, perfect for indoors.
    The Pico definitely has a place though. 👍

    Hi there, appreciate the video. Do you have suggestions on how to affix a GoPro atop of the Pavo Pico drone? Thanks!

    • @HalfChrome
      @HalfChrome  Год назад

      A gopro. No. It would be too heavy. Maybe a naked gopro but that’s still likely too much weight.

    Can I use the beta fpv remote and Googles for the Pavo Pico or do I have to use the dji remote and Googles?

    • @HalfChrome

      You need DJI goggles. Remote ID receive specific and you have options

    is it possible to build this drone on an analog communication system?

    • @HalfChrome
      @HalfChrome  Год назад +1

      Yes. But I’m not sure why you would. An analog tiny whoop would fly much better and there are tons of those. This was build for the O3

    Pico is priced ok but no lie, I rather get the avatta or a second hand dji for 300 bucks. Beta better step up their game, adding some optical flow sensors on the bottom so it can hover in place, EIS system, a altitude hold mode lol. Lets be honest, it is hard to learn to fly fpv without no crutches, I know people that bought a drone, TRIED to fly it, throttled all the way up and down and boom drone broke, bought a dji and they never looked back. Dji babied the consumers, if beta wants to win, they gotta baby the consumers. The chinese got it w their drones, fugazy obstacle avoidance, altitude hold, bluetooth camera(everybody has a cellphone lol), and its priced cheap. This drone is more for an experienced fpv flyer and even so, most of them build their own drone🫠 or rather build something similar or better for the price.

    • @mikeb1596
      @mikeb1596 Год назад

      Different demographics. Betafpv makes quads for people who know how to fly or at least want to learn to fly manually. DJI makes drones for people who want to fly out of the box with no experience. DJI FPV quads aren't in the same league as manual quads in terms of maneuverability and power. The motion controller also doesn't have the precision and overall control as a typical radio.
      If you want to learn to fly manual FPV drones, get a flight simulator or practice outside away from obstacles. It takes a bit of practice, but once it clicks it is 100% worth it
