Thank you for this video! I can confirm, after following your advice, the $36.99 Kyostar quick connect I bought from eBay works perfectly to connect my $59 felt NRG knockoff steering wheel... and it feels amazing! No slop in the QC, it feels like it's meant to be there.

Wish I had seen this video 2 days ago. I just got one of those cheep QRs in the mail today to put with my new R5 was super excited to get it all together and get driving with it. And same issue the new cheep QR doesn't fit on the MOZA base. Luckily for me I have a moza QR on the way allready just was able to get the cheep one sooner. Rip me
Kyostar works, cheap ones obviously work fine as long as you remove the MOZA male side and replace it with eBay one, makes sense if you have multiple wheel just use cheap ones for 20$ each, but if you use 1-2 wheel just get D1 specs or kyostars
Interestingly, the base side is 60mm, not 70mm so you're kind of stuck with that end.

@@KAJJTAN kyostar was the cheapest option from ebay Australia so I went with that and it works perfectly.
Very happy with my purchase.
The real cheapo's from ebay at around AUD30 does not fit unless you sand down the inside of the cam-lock by around 0.5mm and in most cases they also do not have 10 ball bearings (only 8 I think, 5 top and 3 bottom instead of 6 and 4), however for around AUD55, the Kyostar ones (Red) works just fine, somehow the Blue ones were too snug and scratches the black base connector on the simagic unit. I have a simagic Alpha and ran into similar problems until I discovered the Kyostar ones. Hope this helps.

Yes, but note the wheelbase QR is not mounted to the steering column with a standard bolt pattern. So you will need to deal with that and drill new holes into the replacement QR you want to mount.
Looking at the base of the ebay QR (when female and male are attached and put on the table), that base plate is thicker than the other QR. To my eyes, it looks better than the other ones. It looks the premium and the others look cheapo. 🤷🏻♂️ Weird.
What about Cammus QR? I have 2 of those as well as a full Cammus setup. What is it compatible with?
The Cammus is not compatible with the D1 Spec or eBay QR.
Did I understand right that you can connect any steering wheel to MOZA's QR and it will work? Thanks in advance for answer.

@@eyup Yes. You just need to connect the rim via USB to get the buttons working.

The MOZA wheels are only compatible with MOZA wheelbases.
@@SimRacingCorner moza now has universal USB hub for fsr and cs wheel I believe. Would be nice to know if fsr wheel side QR can be replaced with 70mm QR. It May have 2 different patterns to connect universal QR. Please let us know. Thanks!

@@itsmrdope I don't know about that one. The Kyostar QR is the cheapest, so I'd recommend that one.
can you tell me what adapter do i need if i want to use the g27 wheel from logitech onto the R9 wheel? i dont need the buttons, i just want a light wheel that is small.

I can see this is one is the RASTP brand (they have stores on Ali and Amazon). Is it 6+4 balls or 5+3? If it's 6+4 maybe with some grinding on the bore they can fit.
