  • As an unashamed modified car guy, I have a deep appreciation for the kind of engineering that can not only get the job done, but look absolutely beautiful doing it. The Hybrid Racing Simulations Xero-Play Quick Release system is generally regarded as one of the best sim racing quick release systems available due to its flex-free design, lightweight and great looks, so when I recently decided to upgrade some of my wheels, it was the obvious choice.
Today I'll take you over the system in detail, show you how to get it mounted, and take you through my impressions of this system.

Since seeing SRG’s video on this bit of kit this is the affirmation I needed to know I’ll get one of these once I’m on a DD

I'm so glad I found your videos. I really appreciate how you explain these things in a simple understandable manner. Some people make things seem so complicated. Thanks

Is it $270 with the two connectors or just for single.

It does look awesome and really practical but won't help me with the DD1 I've got. Fanatec QR it's not that quick is it? I thought to mount this on the Fanatec one but then the wheel would be far away to reach the paddles unless you've got alien fingers...

If you're using Fanatec wheels - they use a built in USB connection - so they won't work with a third party quick release unless it's a USB wheel

    Hi very interesting video
The Simucube 2 Adapater came with the Direct Drive or you have to buy it apart. Where do you buy it ? At HRS or Simucube
    Thank you

How well does it compare to SRC QR?

So (pardon my ignorance), I can use this adapter to connect a Simucube wheel to my DD1 but how will the buttons work? USB Cable?

would this work for the fanatec v2.5 ?

Is it compatible with the dd2 wheel also?

    • @AdamsOlympia
      @AdamsOlympia 8 месяцев назад

as he said, any wheel that requires power or data through the quick release is incompatible..including Fanatec wheels.

I did in my Smiagic review series.

For simucube it's easy enough to 3d print extra adaptors (thingverse).

Do 3D printed SQR plates last ok?

@@boostedmedia I'm using one with a D shaped OMS wheel, generally with lower torque settings than my formula style wheel and it's rock solid. Apparently someone tested it at 20Nm and there were no signs of flex etc. I tried to order a genuine QR but the local dealer couldn't care less and I gave up after a week or so. No regrets!
