- Screw length and proprietary 3 holes spacing, caused by the size and dimensions of the wheelbase side SQR, are some things to watch for here.

Best reviews for Simracing Equipment
Much appreciate your time and effort on this Barry, please keep it going!
Excellent video Barry. Hope you are doing well.
Hi Barry. Very impressive hardware and very very nice racing looking. very good job 👍
15:23 I had a good chuckle over that one 😂
Man! You are the best reviewer of equipment for racing! Please do a review (if possible) on Simagic.
Very informative as ever Barry 👌😎
Thanks again Barry.
I am so close to getting this dd going to do more research on qr stuff as it’s what’s grabbing my interested to be able to change wheels as I do tin top cars and open wheel cars.
Nice look at the shaft clamp. I'm surprised how well they've designed this for the price. Not that it's cheap, but it's still comparable in price to other direct drive wheels. Glad I ordered one!
Barry should consider doing audiobooks. Great voice
15:30 cleaning the shaft and clamp with alcohol: "This feels nice and clean." *Immediately puts hand oils onto the mating surface*
Ugh, I wish I would have seen this video before. I have several standard adapters and never figured I would once again need to buy another adapter for the SC2 proprietary holes. I don't have the depth so I need to make it as short as possible with my rapfix racing QR. The fact that the cords come straight out the back limits the depth options for me as I have a reinforcement bar directly in the back of it.
Nice shirt!. Buying one now!
Thanks for your support!
I think they should take a good look at Moza QR, that would be a good solution for many brands instead of making all that plastic mess
Emmm shaft clamp. As tight as it seems to be, there can still be some rubbing between the axis and the actual wheel. If we can have a sticking-out part on the rotating axis that prevents the wheel hub from rubbing and move, then it would be perfect. Experience tells us even if one grabs a stick very tight, the other may still be able to rotate it.
tsorP nialA so far no movement after one year with similar keyless hub set up on large mige.
@@chillil321 Then it is super tight then. No visible movement even under one year use of DD wheel base, wow. My concern is indeed unnecessary,
Hi Berry great best job in your channel about simparts review, I dont know if you can answer about this, what do you think compares with Fanatec podium?
Thanks really
I love you.
Hi everybody, iam looking for a extension to set my samsung 49er between the Simucube2 base and the wheel. if possible i like to set the extension between the base and Wheelside QR. Any recommended solutions?
Barry - who makes the aluminum 50mm extension hub? you did not mention anything about it :)
Here you go! www.ebay.com/itm/2-Steering-Wheel-Spacer-Polished-Aluminum-for-MOMO-NARDI-ISOTTA-SPARCO-OMP/121200490282?epid=25009660138&hash=item1c381cb72a:g:gPoAAOSwr7ZW5mUn
Is it possible you could please tell me the parts you used for modding the quick release?
Also really informative, I'm a new sub.
Can you give me the link for the black adapter that we see at 5'40'' and 24'20''
Thanks.
Why not mount the Q1R base side part on the Simucube wheel side part? Would that not work?
simucube would be really interessting... if it where aviable! atm its a shame that they not able to produce sold items!
What size is your aluminum hub? Also, I always mean to ask what brand of hex screwdrivers do you use?
They look like Wiha, but I could be wrong.
Aluminum exstention is 50mm or 2 inches. The drivers are Bondhus Balldrivers.
Sim Racing Garage Thanks... I’ll order a metric set, and then just order a 3/16 since I can’t find a combo set of metric and sae. I found a metric set up to 5mm. I have not ran across anything in sim racing in metric that takes a 5.5 or 6mm ball driver.
I can't seem to get a 4mm in mine and 3mm is too small. Is it possible they used a 4mm on yours but a 3.5mm on others ? man
Hello Barry i am a little confused, this Adpater you have add (26:35) iss this from Simucube ?? I have an Batch February 2020 but i want use my Buchfink and an Spacer like you , hope you can help me. Greets Mike
That is an adapter from Ascher Racing.
@@simracinggarage3026 Tahnks Barry, so in the discription was only the Link to Simucube ;)
Hi you know if making these changes and removing their QR you lose the warranty on the SC2? thank you.
I would not think the manufacturer could void any of the warranty for simply removing the wheelbase side QR lug and replacing it with you own system of choice. But you would need to contact them for the final word.
thank you!
Where in Gods name can one find the ascher adapter plate in the states?
So where can we buy it?
This Servo Motor ?
I wondering where i can get that aluminium things you have?
They come in different lengths: www.ebay.com/itm/4-Steering-Wheel-Spacer-Polished-Aluminum-for-MOMO-ISOTTA-SPARCO-OMP/111015588260
This is the Apple model of make your shit pretty to disguise the fact that you made it non-standard to everything else in the market place in an effort to force the purchase of your QR. While it may be a solid connection it is anything but quick when compared to a standard automotive QR. It's not a coincidence that the only dimensioned drawing not available on the Simucube site is the drawing for the QR.
