I love this. So much better than the commercial stuff. It really just doesn't seem like this band got a real chance!
is that john singing with gwen? oh god ive always wanted to hear how he sounded :D RIP
i love the tiny tribute to Flava Flav "yeaaaahhh boy" :) lol
Nice early version of this song---so No Doubt (like Fishbone) had been doing ska before it became the cool hot thing to do in the '90's---sweet!
I mean the style has only been around since like the late 1950s so I would hope so lol
Same way with bad brains they were doing that whole hardcore punk and reggae thing since the late 1970s
No doubt were highly influenced by Fishbone during this period
Even though Total Hate 95 is my top favorite No Doubt song, Total Hate 87 is still pretty cool.
I never get tired of this version! I just love it :-)
my brother taught me well. This is the first band i ever listened to when i was 5 (im 18). Things wouldve been pretty different if i never caught on to the music he listened to
So the way I see it is if Gwen didn't have a friend commit suicide & a bad break up No Doubt would No Doubt be a different band.
Ok now I finally understand why the song was called Total Hate '95
Great find! Amazing.
OMG! Thanks for the upload!
Wow thanks for uploading never heard this this version before, amazing :)
RIP John Spence
Man, that video description is so adorable
Had fun watching this!
I love Total Hate 95, but this sounds more palatable and consistent somehow
Excellent work, grettings from Mex.
I wish they would’ve put this onto beacon street (in addition to total hate 95)

It’s pretty interesting that no doubt did one of the first skacore songs

@@cheriebomb158 ska meets hardcore, basically the harder faster version of ska punk

Woah. The 80s. Hi.
@johnnyrottini what she do lol
@johnnyrottini i am so jeleaous dude.....-fist pound-
what album is????
This is from 1987, ND didn't release an album until 1992! By this time some member's have left and joined. This version isn't on an album however there is a totally awesome version, with Bradley Knowell, on ND's "Beacon Street Collection". That'll be around on RUclips somewhere. The title on the BSC is "Total Hate '95".
Yes, i know, but... is contained in some compilation unofficial or official? disneyland demos for example?? or no?? ...Thaks :)
Kírin Bruzzon It will be on a demo tape or something somewhere =P I know it was recorded in the studio in '87. I just downloaded it from one fansite. Didn't say saying about CD/demo etc it's off. No Doubt didn't release it, it was ripped by someone who does. That's a question more for Eric Keyes, he knows, he was probably there! [he wasn't a band member, just a long time friend who has tooooooons of stories, pictures and videos from ND since they began]
+GGNDRiRock (Hannah) Well said. Thanks for sharing!
+GGNDRiRock (Hannah) Say whaaaaaa'? You must tell me how to get in touch with this content of Eric Keyes!!!!!
nooooo bradley tho but I do like the rest better
This is from 1987, I dont think ND new about Bradley until 88-89, if I remember correctly =P Sublime was formed in '88.
***** yes they were formed in 1988, fun fact they started off as a garage punk band
