  • No Doubt perform (by popular demand) Total Hate during Night 2 of their mini tour at the Gibson Amphitheater on November 26, 2012. After 9 hours of waiting in line, I was finally able to see their epicness front row of the pit! I am a huge fan and I just want to share this with other fans. Ryan Hollenbeck would've been cool if Bradley was on the screen during his part!

    She was embarrassed by ska, but ska made her who she is today. Will never understand her. Will never understand Push and Shove. Still miss them.

      She wasn't embarrassed by ska, she was embarrassed by NDs first album though, she's said that album was shit, but she's never said anything bad about ska. She's supposedly going back to ska with her new solo album

      Yeah and that solo album is where???
      Gwen drops music and ska fast when it stops printing music. Just like she dropped the boys to tour as a heritage act.
      Gwen’s a total phoney these days, poo-pooing on everything ND

    When I saw them in 2009, Stephen did Bradley's rap. Not sure why he didn't do it here.

    it pisses me off that Gwen wanted to retire this song, and when the fans voted for it she acts surprised. Totally clueless about what the fans want in an ND show.

      Yeah but at least she was COOL & OPEN-MINDED enough to bring it back for the fans and not just ignore them. Have to give her credit for that. Still sounded good too!

    • @yamammiwammi
      @yamammiwammi 7 лет назад +3

      it was most voted in a fan survey, i dont think they had a choice to ignore them. they probably wouldnt have played it, survey or not.
      Gwen has said she hates doing the old stuff because "its like wearing old clothes" that shes grown out of now. tells a lot what she feels about the old school ND vibe

    • @Rock2005Star
      @Rock2005Star 7 лет назад +6

      Yeah but the point is she DIDN'T ignore them, where I bet a lot of other singers would've. That makes me like her even more knowing she didn't want to do it but still did anyway. I mean, it's not like she doesn't play ANY of the older songs. I've seen a lot of other bands do that too with their older stuff. Sometimes the stuff that came later is better and they'd just rather play that. It's hard to please everybody.
      But also, they probably know most people would rather hear the Tragic Kingdom and thereafter era stuff vs pre-TK. I've heard the pre-TK stuff and except for "Trapped in a Box" (which I f'in' LOVE cuz it's so weird and cool at the same time lol), I don't really care for it. But that's me. Everyone has a right to their opinion. I do like some of their deep cuts like "Home Now" or "Marry Me" off Saturn. Never heard those cuts on the radio but recently got MUCH more in ND than I ever was before, and am realizing now how great their body of work really is.
      I think the Push and Shove album had some of their best stuff on it. I don't really care if they wanna try something a lil different than just straight up ska, as long as it sounds good. I think Sparkle is a fantastic song. They definitely still have the ska feel on that album, but mixed with other elements too like techno and 80s electric pop. But "Rock Steady" was like that too, at least regarding techno. I regret not ever seeing them live. Wanted to go 2-3 years ago but wasn't able to. They hit up Chicago area (where I live) but it was a festival and so cost a lot + festivals are usually a big hassle. lol

      yamammiwammi she didn't say that about all old songs. She said some just don't feel right to do anymore, because they were kids when they wrote them and she can't really relate to some of them amymore (and some of the lyrics of the old songs are imo pretty dumb to be honest). Way to change and misinterpret her words...

    • @danielhagerty7153

      @@KD-de7pk people just like to trash Gwen these days.
      It's not at all uncommon for bands to dislike playing they're popular songs because they just get bored of playing them all the time.

    Man, if only No Doubt still played ska punk music. Sellouts.
