To Aaron and Laura, It hurts my heart hearing that your getting emails and messages about people worried about Benjamin’s safety! YOUR ARE DOING A WONDERFUL JOB being parents!! Your letting your babies experience new and exciting things! You are the best mommy and daddy they need!! You always have their safety in mind!! Please don’t let comments change how you parent!! Your doing great!! 💗much love!!
Same. Aaron and Laura come across as sweet people. They can't take it personally. It's says more about whomever is e-mailing and messaging them worried about Benjamin. Maybe these "concerned people" were lacking somewhere in their own lives and they need to be heard in order to make themselves feel better. Social media can be both amazing and harmful at the same time. it's a tough road for Influencers. Everyday people trying to earn a living sharing they love and there you go, when it comes right down to it's purely envy and jealousy.
People who have the time in their day to judge other people’s parenting should look in the mirror first! I grew up in a farm town and I did a lot of stuff without adult supervision and I turned out fine! Back in the days I climbed every rock I could find and nowadays people give you dirty looks when you let your child touch the ground on a sidewalk!! Prolly the same people who think Benjamin is inside the house fixing himself a snack all alone while his baby sister sleeps in her nursery! 🤦🏻♀️
Think you might be my sister... I'm 57 & sometimes I do get things done...but then new ideas pop into my mind and BAM, a redo occurs. It's my therapy and maybe cheaper then a therapist. Okay well maybe that last statement isn't all truth, depending on the garden items & plants purchased.
I had to laugh when Aaron and Laura were talking about the junction box move and she gave him the look of married couples... Like, we'll talk OFF CAMERA... 🤣 Ya'll are SO CUTE! 🤣💜😊
Even if you get tired of filming sometimes... just imagine how much your kids and grandkids will cherish being able to watch these videos back in what will feel like just a few years. 😊
You are to young and vibrant to add guilt to the long list of jobs and joys of life . I am 75 and don’t regret one guilty thought I’ve ever had.You are doing a great job !
Oh man, I missed your videos! In the morning, I had my routine interrupted....☺🤗❤ By the way, I like how Aaron is thinking...a garden tour....YES! We know your garden is a wreck and worked on so don't sweat it just do the tour....you and all of us will appreciate it that much more when is going to be back to normal!🙏🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤
I am reinjured from car accidents after bumping my forehead so watching Laura and Aaron helps so much. Hope to heal enough to do as much as possible outside. Thank you for the inspiration!!! Stay strong!
Please don't be concerned about a garden tour 'as is'. Not one of us will think that the areas are 'finished' in any sense. I always appreciate seeing the progress
Woke up from a bad dream and went to my computer to see a wonderful highlights video to get my mind off of it. Your channel brings me such joy. Love your moments with Aaron, what a normal couple.
Hi Laura, I I really admire your tenacity and dedication to your audience. What are Benjamin and Samantha Grace doing while you are outside planting and filming. Do you have a nanny to care for them? You are so energetic to take on so many projects and still raise a family and be good parents as you have both demonstrated.
Just love that you and Aaron are both doing the weekly recaps (at least on microphone). The looks you give him sometimes (oh that gray box is moving!) are just classic non verbal marriage communication. You guys are the best!
Thanks guys! I love that you choose to take comments in a positive light, well, if possible, lol. I watched a video the other day where the person said, "I am choosing to not be offended." I thought it was brilliant. So often people jump on the defensive these days, and things escalate from there. But if I can purposely choose to live my life not being offended, it helps me, big time, and helps those around me. Keep being your cheerful positive selves and enjoy your lives and work. You are blessed and are a blessing. ❤️
Laura, you and Aaron are such a sweet inspiration to me. I am 66 years old this month (April) and I know my body has limitations now, but I am still able to get in the yard and do some planting. You have been very helpful in introducing new plants and I have made a few new garden spaces ( well, not me, my sweet Hubby) and I feel like our yard looks so much nicer because of your videos. Thank you!
Love that you don’t edit out reality for the sake of perfection - in your gardening and In your conversations. Real life is what we need to see and frankly want to see. Thank you for sharing your life with a million gardening strangers! ❤️
The BEST part of this video for me was the grey box talk! I’ve been married for 40 yrs and you guys are so much like my hubby & me. That look you gave Aaron was priceless! Thanks for the laughs and a great video!
Hi, I'm new to your channel and have been binge watching you all for over a week, just wanted to say thank you for sharing all this, I have spent more money and time in my garden this week then ever before. Just started this video and appreciate you mentioning the date, as I'm often confused what month or year you are in. Thanks again You seem like a lovely family.
I totally agree. There is so much joy and gratitude that one feels from being able to share something you love with others that you know will give love to the gift
Speaking of under the trees; Just watched where they planted asparagus under their trees. You have a lot on your plate right now so be patient with yourselves, a new baby, a new large area to developed, a new greenhouse and the the removal of what was formally in that location...including plants, trees, foundation....You are doing really great.
On the animal question: I had one of my labs get into a Biotone bag from my gardening bench. She ate a LOT of it before we even knew what had happened. In the end she spent about three days throwing it up, but had no other problems other than a sore tummy. Always check with your vet if you are worried and make sure you keep bags way out of reach from where pets can get to them.
My 14 1/2 year old 85 lb dog has been eating garden tone from around the trees for at least five years. And he's...14! So I guess it's not that horrible. If you read the ingredients, I'm fairly sure we could eat it, too.
A friend of mine had a very old goat.. she was losing hair and my friend thought her time was coming... one day she went into the barn and the goat had eaten a huge amount of fertilizer from a bag.. my friend thought 'oh well, this will do her in'.. weeks later the goat was frisky, and her hair came in beautifully!! I guess the minerals in that fertilizer gave her what she needed.
Laura if you think getting that redbud out was tough come try to dig a hole big enough for a tree in New England. Rocks, rocks and more rocks. I fell in love with a Fringe tree and had to have one. Only one person in this house is going to make it happen, so at 73 I dug a hole 30” w X 20” d. I now have 2 HD buckets of rocks and one of contractors soil (one part top soil mixed with extra rocks construction waste etc). I always fill in around my new plants with compost and new rich soil. Whew, my back and knees know I’m no spring chicken but I have a beautiful Fringe tree and I’m thrilled to have it! If you’ve never seen one look it up! It’s soOoo beautiful covered with pure white flowers that look exactly like fringe.
I think you two balance work/life very well. Benjamin is being raised to be a independent young man who will see the value in family, gardening and love. So many miss these life experiences, perhaps this is why some are concerned. It took me 4.5 weeks to watch all of your videos right from the very beginning. The transformation your yard has gone through is amazing. I found myself jumping back and forth through videos trying to keep up to date and figure out where you started...lol. I have many flowerbeds and gardens and find i keep making more after watching your videos!
GNATS!! Years ago, my brother walked into the house after a motorcycle ride where he’d taken off the face shield and his face was covered with gnats. I was like “gross, you probably swallowed some!” Without missing a beat, he shouted “mmm... protein!” and smacked his lips. hahaha It’s been our slogan ever since. 😆 So when dinner is ready, we just holler “protein!!”
just saw the picture of Samantha Grace smiling!!! beautiful!! Plus just saw a neat idea where a Dad dug sod up in a small figure 8 and then made it into a fairy garden type road track for the kids and their match box. Love watching you and Benjamin watching Aaron mowing the grass. nice
I fought my husband for a few years about spending money on a gator and now I can't imagine my life without one! And yes, you have definitely helped me to be much better prepared with planting, seed starting and trying different flowers and shrubs. Please know there are caring people that see how blessed your children are (will be) with your lifestyle and projects. We'd all wrap them in bubble-wrap if we could but life is life! Soo love your channel!
20 degrees today in Toronto and I’m seeing my hyacinth, tulips and crocus come up ! It’s coming guys!! Get me out of this house and into the garden. Garden answers have been my lifeline through the lockdowns. Dreaming of spring!
Oh my gosh You do the best job filming all these awesome project and you have one of the best gardening channels on RUclips I think thank you so much for another great video hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy
Maybe put in a windbreak of trees where the blows in the most along the cut flower bed? We used to live in an area surrounded by mature trees, and it was rare to get really big wind gusts like that since the trees slowed them down. I live in WA so it was primarily evergreens around our house.
Hi Laura and Aaron! This was such a fun recap! Loved the interaction between you two. Please don't worry about putting mulch down before doing a video. We all understand everything that is going on right now and don't expect things to be perfect. I'm sure you have more important things to do then mulch. Thank you so much for sharing!
Probably will never see this, but for the fountains, some ideas... A: get some smart plugs for them so you can turn them off easier, even automatically possibly depending on conditions. B: Why not hook up the fountains to the drip system so they would get topped off every day/time the drip runs?
I’ m living in Belgium and a week ago we also had beautiful sunshine and warm T-shirt weather. But since Easter the landscape turned completely white. It is snowing for three days now. So unusual!
Yay, delighted to see the weekly recap is up! Had to laugh when Aaron dropped the fact that the boxes are moving into the house PLUS a bunch more boxes will be added to that area you just mulched- you handled that so well Laura!
Hi Laura, for fertilizer, the solid ones(bio-tonte, plant tone), we use a watering can with a large "neck". It works wonders. Is like watering but with solid fertilizer 😊 you should give it a try.
You really inspire me to keep trying and digging and planting. If you can do it, so can I, although I am old enough to be your momma. And then some. Lol. I agree the comment about satisfaction was positive. And I agree with your answer. Also I want to add; when I have a garden work day, I always reflect satisfaction in the evening when the jobs are done. So it’s daily satisfaction. Keep working! God bless. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
Another great episode of the adventures of Laura. I always learn. Have a very blessed day and keep that camera rolling. Such a great a precious family. Love starting my day with guys.
I love these recap videos the most! I watch all your videos, but these are always my favorites! I also really love how Aaron gives his advice as well! Hoping one day he will give in and be right next to Laura in the videos! I love you guys!
Have you thought about getting outdoor smart plugs for your fountains? I think it would be great to be able to shut the fountains off from your phone on those windy nights!
Just do the tour! I am used to your monthly tours and would be heartbroken if you decided not to do monthly ones anymore. I also want LOTS of mini tours around the new property. PLEASEEE & as always thank you! Thank you so much for all you share with us! I know it’s hard work and having to set up cameras and film it all has to make it twice as hard. But, I live for your videos!!
It's too funny how Laura expresses her feelings on the smell of fertilizer. I've grown up around plants and fertilizer like Espoma products and it's like a "blast from the past" moment for me. Don't worry Laura I get it:) I also love the crinkling of the fresh bags being opened, okay now I said too much...
So funny i have adopted the "smell of success " quote from Laura. The bad part is i dont have a sence of smell (literally) i cannot smell. When i do my fertilizer my husband sends me to shower and im like what? It dosent even smell jajaja. Learned so much from this and primary channel. I love it.
You could use a Easy-flo fertigation system its just a tank you can hook up to a hose or irrigation that as you're watering it mixes the fert into the water. Its a simple hook up
I usually mulch a bit with cut grass and chicken shavings. I was feeling inspired to use bought mulch on my 1000 + sq ft of bed space. Then I watched the neighbor's cat use his fresh mulch for a latrine. There are 7 outdoor cats within a 2 house radius. Think I'll skip it.
@@YSLRD I feel your pain! I live in a tiny rural town and my neighbor puts food outside for all the feral cats around. There must be at least 20 cats that hang around. For some reason, they love to come to my 1 acre property and gift me with all they have to offer. I am using free wood chips I got from tree companies to mulch my beds. It doesn’t look like Laura’s, but that’s ok.
@@cynthiafisher9907 so how do you handle that?? I need to deal with a rodent issue under my garden shed, and so wish those cats did not come around here......... how would you handle that??? and I do not have any pets. NOR want a cat in my garden..........
@@MysticFIREFLY There is a motion activated sprinkler you can get that might deter them when the weather isn’t freezing. I have heard they work. I don’t know if there is any other way to do it. My fenceline is so long, I don’t think I want to buy that many sprinklers and devote that much water to the project, as my water is expensive in my little town. Sorry for your dilemma.
@@cynthiafisher9907 first off, I would recommend checking if you have a TNR program where you live. If not, you and your neighbors might want to think of doing it to control the population. Those 20 cats didn't all appear at the same time out of nowhwere, and can easily double and triple in population in no time. Eliminating their ability to reproduce is the best thing you can do, not only for the neighborhood, but for the existing cats as well. After being neutered, the existing population will chase off any non familial cats, and outdoor cats usually only live 3-10 years, so their population will become controlled and dwindle on its own in good time, as long as all cats are sterilized. In the meantime, making your space displeasing for them, such as with sprinklers is a good idea. I think there is also a motion activated contraption that makes an unpleasant high pitch noise for animals such as cats and dogs that our neighbors use to deter them from using their front lawns as a toilet.
I don't like even walking back to my garage after walking to the back of my backyard where my garden is, I couldn't imagine walking your property! Haha!
I agree with some other comments here that a garden tour would be wonderful right now. It is so good to see the before, the during, and the after of projects. They can give us so much inspiration and encouragement as we work on our landscapes. I even enjoyed seeing the ditches and hearing what you're going to be doing and also seeing Benjamin running in the ditches. How cute. But it is good to see all the process. Keep making videos and encouraging us as we work on our yards and gardens. Thank you so much for all you do and the encouragement you give.
It is amazing how much your vegetable garden has changed over the years. I remember when you were walking the space pointing and dreaming. And now look at it!
That’s exactly what I was thinking!! It has happened to me, and all over my gravel driveway because of the direction the wind blows across my property 🤦🏻♀️. I’ve dug up so many plants and relocated them to their proper place. Seems like the darn wind is always blowing here in my area of VA.
Hello from San Diego! I've been a subscriber of yours for a while now and I am so happy for your family's success on so many levels. Such an inspiration to us all who are working on our green thumb goals. One request.... On the subject of moving plants around that are in the ground. You have touched on this subject before here and there and its how I got up the courage to just do it as well. I know there are purists out there (like my husband) that don't agree with moving or getting rid of plants that are in a garden that don't fit in with the overall look we want. It was one of your videos where you explained that if it doesn't bring joy then don't be afraid to change it up. Even if it means getting rid of plants, moving them, or even giving them away. I started doing that and now I'm enjoying my space much more. So thank you for that! I'd so much appreciate if you could touch on that subject once more so I could make sure my hubby can understand where I'm coming from. I tried to explain to him that they will grow back or maybe it wasn't meant to be. He has a hard time just trimming plants. Again, thank you for all your guys hard work in bringing us all these awesome videos each week!
I am always satisfied with small pockets of my garden. But I have worked this space 25 years and plan to continue tweaking as long as I have breath and ability. That is a Gardeners’ nature.
Laura and Aaron - you are both gems, please keep doing what you’re doing and know that your channel(s) are inspiring and helpful. Thank you for what you both do.
You are correct Laura, you don't have to sell everything. Just the satisfaction from seeing life grow in your garden is an amazing feeling. Love your show. Gardner's are always making more and there is NO END to gardening.
Hey Laura, for my big fertilizer jobs, I use an old watering can that has the sprinkler head missing. Fill it with Plant Tone (or whatever Tone). Then I just walk around the plant and the spout makes a nice ring around the perimeter of the plant. Works pretty well.
Never done. Look at established public gardens, always something to keep the garden going. Love you guys, and all you share. Thank you! Great parents too!
Cute that you've to say, 'Only joking, don't send us the equipment!' Nice that you've to say that to your supporters as they really are supporters in all senses of the word!! Kitchen aids and baby kits for the studio etc etc etc (PS no word on Aaron's bloopers from mail time yet, what a storm of interest that created. Was there even a Laura bleep in this highlights, wow.)
I am so inspired by watching you, Laura. I finally got my daughter and my husband build me a 2 ft high raised bed for vegetables. I am so excited and happy that I have already cleaned my yard. Also watching you has inspired me to start some vegetable seeds at home. I live in New Jersey and I can’t plant outside until May-June time. I see some success in starting seeds indoors. I am using my kitchen table to start seeds.
Right! We are always creating aren't we!! So true! New ideas always come about and then watching Garden Answer you fall in love with different plants as well. So of course you are adding to the garden!!
Laura, I so understand your challenge with the tree. Sometimes it is you vs the roots and that is all there is to it. Challenge accepted and Laura won!

Some people have no faith in children :( successful parenting is 80% having faith in your child.

I look forward to your videos every morning while having my breakfast they are so wonderful and relaxing also learning a lot.

Some here in Scotland!
I visited Belgium once, and it’s seriously one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. You are so fortunate!
Thanks for the smiles :) "You can't plant there!" had me laughing outloud! It will all be so gorgeous when it's done!
I think that is a great idea ..... !!!
God bless. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
Love listening to you and Aaron. You and the ‘red bud’ remind of me, when your determined to get it done you just find a way to do it.
I had the same problem with A Rose I was moving last year, ended up having to cut the bottom too
Best time of the day 🪴
So true, I am way ahead in my garden maintenance this year because of you guys!! Thank you for your inspiration, you're the best 💚
DRUGGGGED!!! I'm cracking up. Love that!
Morning all - thanks to Laura and Aaron for two great videos!
You all have had me so tickled this time! I don’t know how many times you had me giggling
I heard rose garden. Im excited.
Have you thought about getting outdoor smart plugs for your fountains? I think it would be great to be able to shut the fountains off from your phone on those windy nights!
Hi guys! I finally caught the highlight video almost as soon as it was posted! I am loving the lemons 🍋 that are on the Meyer tree behind you. 🥰
I saw that too!! Very exciting and cute!!
Yes Aarón push on the tour ❤️
It's too funny how Laura expresses her feelings on the smell of fertilizer. I've grown up around plants and fertilizer like Espoma products and it's like a "blast from the past" moment for me. Don't worry Laura I get it:) I also love the crinkling of the fresh bags being opened, okay now I said too much...
Always love watching these recaps. 😊
I love these recap videos. They are informative and entertaining.
So funny i have adopted the "smell of success " quote from Laura. The bad part is i dont have a sence of smell (literally) i cannot smell. When i do my fertilizer my husband sends me to shower and im like what? It dosent even smell jajaja. Learned so much from this and primary channel. I love it.
You two are so entertaining! Always like the interaction when you are together.
Laura “Excellent!” Oh dear Aaron’s in trouble lmao love you guys, you remind me of me and my hubs
You could use a Easy-flo fertigation system its just a tank you can hook up to a hose or irrigation that as you're watering it mixes the fert into the water. Its a simple hook up
When the mulch “disappears”, maybe it blows away from the 60mph wind gusts! Lol
Haha!
LOL!! when I'm weeding, and I look up and see my snips are 5 feet away, I feel like it is such a burden!!!
@@didisinclair3605 👌 yes!
I feel for you, the wind is horrible! I am in N.E. Oregon and between the wind and the cold nights 😡 I love your videos!
It is amazing how much your vegetable garden has changed over the years. I remember when you were walking the space pointing and dreaming. And now look at it!
We live in north central South Dakota and it seems like almost every time I have planted a garden, it has been windy! I feel your pain!
You will go out there one day and have flowers growing everywhere!! Except where you planted...
That’s exactly what I was thinking!! It has happened to me, and all over my gravel driveway because of the direction the wind blows across my property 🤦🏻♀️. I’ve dug up so many plants and relocated them to their proper place. Seems like the darn wind is always blowing here in my area of VA.
Loved it. Love the expression on your face Laura when you found out about this being moved. Priceless. Thank you so very much for sharing.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Ahhhh the evening watchers are here.🥰🥰👀
I was just headed off to bed and saw there was a video up, ugh! Had to watch.
🙌🏼💕
You guys are soooo cute! “Did you need to know” laughing right along with you 😂😂😂😂
Laura and Aaron - you are both gems, please keep doing what you’re doing and know that your channel(s) are inspiring and helpful.
Perfect timing! Love listening as I relax from the day.
I’m an addict. Immediate click and close all other tabs.
You are not alone😉
Yep!🙌🏼
Me too!!
Same!
They’re awesome 😎
I can't watch your videos and hear the conversations without having a smile.
Seriously, the smell of the various "tone" products actually puts a smile on my face. I know I am doing something good for my garden!
One of the funniest recap videos yet! Love everything about it.😂 Your and Aaron's genuineness is so refreshing.
Thanks I really enjoyed your program......
Guys I love your relationship. You bounce off each other perfectly.
Great idea Aaron - Let´s have a garden tour... much need it sight for sore eyes :-)
Just curious, why do we not hear about or see Aaron's family? Absolutely love all that you both do and I'm excited to watch your videos everyday! ❤️
My dog dug the plants out of my garden & ate the Biotone out of the holes. Dog is fine.
Darlin's when you have fish🐟🐠🐡 emulsion up your nose and houseflies hanging out thereafter, Espoma is the eu de toilette of fertilizer!🌹
18 pound can be found on amazon, I found it was the same price as my local true value. I’d prefer to ask local but when needed.....
