This tutorial was exactly what I was looking for and I learned so much! Thank you! After I finished, I added a paper texture, which really added to the "paper cut-out" feel. :)
Thank you for your tutorials! They are amazing! One of the best I've seen so far! you are really helping out of all the beginner illustrators (like myself) THANK YOU! btw what version of adobe illustrator are you using (what year) ?
I use latest version and recommend you to do the same, because Illustrator adds new features and you should stay in line if you are going to use it seriously. If not update - follow Adobe Illustrator to know latest news about it. Or simply stay tuned to T&T ;) I’m serious. If you’ll see that I’m using something that you don’t have in your version - update to latest. But! I mostly use old school tools. Thank you, Lana. I’m very glad that you’re here and enjoy my tutorials. Keep on, I already have a lot of useful stuff for you and will release much more!
Yes, I see. I don’t regret this method. I simply show that in the way I do this I have control on applying highlights and colors. If not expand, you use only shadows/highlights that 3d panel gives you. And you can’t adjust color from palette to extruded edges (I hope I’m clear enough). Thank you for feedback and sharing your thoughts! I believe that whatever methods you prefer, you must know them all to adapt your knowledge in different situations! I’m proud that you like this tutorial and share your vision!
hi, this tutorial helped me a lot, thanks. But when i use the 3D extrude & bevel effect the colour of my selection turns darker? what do I need to stop that. it happens every time.
Maybe there’s some new rules on shutterstock and raster elements are allowed? If yes - maybe you don’t like tracing result. And in this case you might want to simply raster shadow. This method is bad if customer would like to enlarge image. So in this case tracing is better. Anyway, you can save illustration as jpg and sell it as image, not vector. This will allow you to keep all shadows as you created them... Up to you!

You can also choose the color of the extrusion. it's default black, but when you turn it white, it works even better than your technique :)
Why?
@@tt_tutorials you Don't need to group, isolate and ungroupe:) but thx very much I liked this video!

hi,
this tutorial helped me a lot, thanks.
But when i use the 3D extrude & bevel effect the colour of my selection turns darker? what do I need to stop that. it happens every time.
Hi! Thank you ❤️
I think you should rewatch how I do this. You’re missing the Shading option in 3d panel
What kind of another technique that i can use to make shadow, i submit my vector to shutterstock that do not approve drop shadow effect, any tutorial?
You should expand it. Just expand drop shadow effect :)
@@tt_tutorials wow i didn't think about that, i give it try than, thank's :)
It should work! I’m sure. If what - let me know!
@@tt_tutorials it works :), but after expand, i have to trace it to become vector. Thanks again

You lost me at 16:44 - Open layer - OK, then move this one right here.? Where? a New layer?
Hi! Sorry, but 16:44 is a wrong time... 🙄
@@tt_tutorials I got it. I think? Thanks first all your tutorials, they are fantastic and inspiring.
Thank you very much! Ask me if you didn’t get something, just add correct time code for me to be able to answer ❤️
