    aMSa's english has gotten so much better it's wild. I remember when I first watched him it seemed like he barely spoke any english at all now he's fluent.

      @@jakemorris8888 Mang0 went through the ringer this tournament, truly inspiring how he handled it too. Amsa winning perpetuates what Mang0 was pissed about before TBH10. by beating Hbox, Amsa made his run SO much easier than it could have been

      Even before this Amsa was definitely top 10. After Big House Amsa's for sure top 6 with a very good case for top 5. If he wins some more majors he could easily be #1 by the end of the year, assuming no one player becomes super dominant.

      Yeah it's funny how grand finals was the 8th seed vs the 7th seed.
      Speaking of which, is Amsa the lowest seeded player to ever win a Supermajor? I feel like Genesis 5 with Plup winning might be the closest but I'm not sure. Or maybe some player made some magic happen during the MLG era.
      Edit: Yes, Amsa is pretty noticeably the lowest seeded player to win a Supermajor. Prior to this Wizzy at SNS5 was the lowest seeded player to win a Supermajor as the 6th seed. Also Plup was seeded 5th at Genesis 5 for those wondering.

    Every game has a midtier player with a high rank, but it would be crazy if amsa got to that first rank. In a top 10 filled with fox, falco, puff, marth, Shiek and falcon as it’s really always been for so long, to see a lone yoshi at the top would be unbelievable

      @@turntech4776 True, Puff is seen as good but Hbox and Mang0 are the only ones that have been dominant with the character. Fox, Falco, Marth and now Shiek and Captain Falcon are kinda considered better than Jigglypuff. However, obviously it's super cool that a Yoshi has finally won a major, let alone a supermajor. Axe and aMSa are so cool for showcasing their characters. I hope SluG and Eddy Mexico get to win a major one of these days as well.

    normally it'd probably be too late in the year to start trying to get the number 1 ranking now, but like... with the amount of tournaments coming up... if amsa even wins just like half of them, he'd be an easy favorite to get that rank. that's insane lol. and imagine if he wins all of them...

      I think that he'll have to win at least 2, then maybe he'll beat mang0 in terms of major wins. I think aMSa may be the world's most skilled player, all things considered, but his performance is dragged down by Yoshi's shortcomings.
