  • @AlexRoseGames

it's crazy how amsa can make yoshi, a character who can't even jump out of shield and has no up-b recovery, look like the best character in the game. the way he's optimised parry and armour and eggs is absolutely ridiculous. and in this meta I can see it being a real problem for other people. thanks to uncle punch, everyone is so used to having such optimised punish game that they win neutral a couple times and you're dead. but amsa can just say "nope, double jump armour, my turn". but meanwhile he himself can uncle punch his combos until they're ridiculous and work on his egg throws so they hit from anywhere. his tech skill is ridiculous, he is a monster. I have felt sorry for amsa for years, thinking it was sad that he is so dope but will never be god level, but at this moment (and yes, with all the recency bias in the world), I can see amsa becoming a god of melee, and being a serious contender from rank 1 from now on. what a legend

Mang0 is about 6 weeks younger than aMSa, and I don't expect aMSa to keep getting wins every 6 weeks, but I still expect both of them to keep getting wins. Congratulations aMSa for being the new-school oldest man in melee!... Until Jason comes back.

Its crazy how much zain addapted to amsa during this set. Amsa played better for sure but zain addapted far more during the match and really gave amsa a run for his money. I feel like all top players will have to start really practice on beating Yoshi so theyre prepared for the matchup and dont have to figure it out as they go like zain did here. I dont remember what tournament it was but amsa beat mango this year in another major and mango then admitted on stream that he wasnt prepared for the matchup.
