Raid logging is forsure sad. In my experience most people who raid log just don't enjoy the game anymore and just enjoy the dopamine of a new purple.
Me and my ADHD feel attacked by that. Havent really Played after naxx and in wotlk Till end of ulduar. WoW dopamine is whacky. Way too much time Investment for an okay feeling. Learning an Instrument is way cooler. Or new Games. Hades 1(+2) is easily in my top 5 of all time. For me WoW on an english server with no guild and weird Goals was so much fun. Had a Gnome Warrior who's 100% mount Had to be an horse.
I was raidlogging on 2 chars in the meantime:D
i dont think its dopamine of a new purple, in most cases you get better and faster gear from m+ anyways until you are able to raid the later mythic bosses. mine is to keep the raid going or they need a new healer in mythic and we are always on the brink of not having enough people. so even if im just raid logging, i do it for my guild with around 90% rl friends who i raid for almost 20 years with.
Gdkp solves this problem bc you get massive amounts of gold for just playing the game
video gaming in the age of information... very easy to get lost in the sauce by optimizing the exploration, mystery, and surprises out of the game

the devs for turtle wow are literally saying hard r in world chats and theres tons and tons of evidence piling up of them harassing certain members of their community they believe to be different races than white. its never going to happen. theyve already shot themselves in the chest.
btw, the one thing I crave is a season where all mobs are elite. I would love to see how that would turn out with increased, to a sometimes unplayable level, incentive to play together with others.

@bonsaw57 imagine you could go back to your childhood. And you're doing some activity you loved to do. And you could go back, except now, there's another toy in the room, or small additions or changes. It won't affect the overall. It adds to it. And it's still a damn good experience to relive. Thats classic plus. A wow2 would be like classic with a whole new world. It would feel like a completely new experience. They would just need to make it play like classic. Leveling, spell rotations, and keep the world and expansions on 2-4 continents

I wish they'd tone the SoD changes down a bit. I want classic plus to just be more gear and content and some MINOR tweaks to most classes and for classes with specs that really hurt or aren't viable, those can get a few abilities.
I have played wow since 2005 and have never made it to 60. I only play when I can and for short bursts. I wish I could stick it out but its still a fun game. Having classic is great. its the only reason why I subscribe.
Last time I played WoW was 2007 just after Burning Crusade came out and I started playing again about a month ago. I am so excited to go through BC for the first time and Wrath after that. I am taking it pretty slow with my mage and really enjoying it. Just started watching your channel a few weeks ago and really enjoying the content.
I played on a Emachine from best buy you want to talk about old days. And BG's omg AV was 24 hrs not the 5 mins now!!

Been playing classic hardcore on defias pillager horde lately and have been enjoying leveling professions, secondary and primary. All the questing in different zones and it forcing you across the continents to get to areas you can quest effectively, I’ve enjoyed playing like this a ton lately. This is coming from a multi rank 14 classic Andy who loves PvP and downing Kt in Naxx.. whatever is bringing you joy and fulfillment in the moment should be all that matters no matter what it is. Be your truest self and enjoy WoW til you aren’t able to anymore.
It's funny how everyone remembers how those buckling spring keyboards felt to push. Very satisfying keyboards.
My fun is competing with my best friend on the damage meter. Our fun is getting every advantage we can and then pitting ourselves against eachother in instanced content.
The problem is level 40+ there's lots of barren/desert areas and super grindy, 1-40 is the most fun in Classic WoW for most people I feel

2019-2020 was some damn good times. Before new Blizzard rammed the classic spirit in the @ss and introduced the level boost, and future p2w wow token
Maybe it is survivor bias, but what is left of the classic community just sucks now as well. People seem so jaded and advocate for removing more and more of what makes classic, classic. The passion that got us the 2019 release just isn't there anymore and I miss that the most.
I also started playing serious around the age of like 13 to 14, also got my first very own PC with my Konfirmations-Money. The computer was named "Gaming-Mariechen" which was like a carnival-offer at a pc place in my city. Good old times man
All I ask for is a OSRS type of classic+. Give me just classic wow with some QOL maybe, make the specs viable so I can play enhance or balance/feral without being laughed at. Add classic+ exclusive content. All I ask.
The hardest part about discovering things is doing so with people who will rush you and get upset when you are going at your own pace. I don't mind being rushed, but when someone gets upset at me for failing to meet that expectation, that's where I draw the line. It's why I've never done much raiding, since I don't care to learn the fights by watching RUclips videos, or there simply isn't enough time, or they expect a rigid way of playing that doesn't feel personal anymore. Classic Plus offers alternative ways of playing, and that's what I'm all about.
Instead of enjoying the road to 40 in SOD, I rushed. The thing is: Half of my guild pushed even harder and I realized that I dont wana play this way. This mindset is a curse that plagues present day WoW-classic. Back in 2005 the journey was the fun. Now everything is solved and you just follow an addon which tells you where to go.
i never really took a break since 2005, always played. ye sometimes alot less with a day or 2 in between. but never months etc. and now when there is always M+ and PVP arena. i will always have stuff to do.
Single player games are so different, even before hitting the so called level 2 in the game.. i would have explored the map alot and look at every cave etc etc. thats so relaxing.

After this it is Classic 2x, 5x, and 10x servers. With experience, reputations, droprates, and stats.

My first WoW setup was three wooden TV trays. Those ones you use to eat dinner in the living room. One had my monitor on it, one had my keyboard on it and one had my mouse pad and mouse on it. It was pitiful LOL.

This Nov is my 16th anniversary playing wow. 2 accounts forever subbed.
Just when I had kicked the wow habit. The wow-killer showed up. Been waiting for something to replace wow and found it.
Classic for me was the wow killer. And when I quickly tired of Classic. SoD took over.
I still game hours in SoD. Every day since Day 1. And still manage to have fun. You never run out of shit to do in SoD.
Is the closest to perfect Classic Plus hybrid... a Classic+Retail
I would just play the free trials over and over. Maybe that's why I'm so addicted to the leveling grind today

I remember when my brother raided MC. We had a wireless mouse and it had no battery life atall so mid raid it had to be charged but. The charger and mouse had to be at a perfekt angle to charge so i sat beside my brother and held the mouse in the charger inbetween bosses! :)

I think it’s content that ruins gaming unfortunately - such a key anecdote is me playing Breath of Wild - a solo rpg game, the modern classic.
I was open, I was free, I was unrestrained. I could go in whichever way I wanted. I hadn’t watched a smidge of content and enjoy that experience fondly. But as soon as I watched a RUclips video that showed a cool bit of gear I was on that quicker than I could get off Epona. By the time I knew it I had rushed to get the Master Sword and breezes through the rest of the content.
We live in a world of reducing our choice, we start with a blank page. But as soon as we read a guide or watch a video or even see a cool piece of gear or a fun play style - we’ve written a goal on that blank sheet. Once you’ve written one, the second comes naturally and by the time we know it we’re finding the quickest way to doing what we think is fun as opposed to just enjoying the xp
even if classic + was just slight bumps in class performance for the classes that need it i would be happy. (i would be overjoyed even if all paladin got was crusader strike and a taunt lmfao)

I remember knowing a kid that had a level 56 Belf pally when i joined in TBC. As a level 7 tauren shaman, this kid seemed like a god to me. OG wow was so magical. Kids today dont understand the janky set up and terrible game knowledge! Literally buying guide books to level 😂

we tried, Cabal 2 , Lineage 2 , rift , GW2 and many more. not to kill wow in our lives, but to see if others were as good. and they were alot of fun for sure! but never the seem feeling.
Final fantasy 14 a realm reborn, was amazing and many things we had in there should be added to wow. No racials etc juts pick what you like. 1 char, switch between classes etc.
The proffesion system i enjoyed alot more. big ass fishing events. etc etc etc.
HOwever i played FF14 mostly as a single player. the raids werent the Drugs that i was used to.
Socially FF14 is waaay better. but thats because they have so much more on the social parts. Clubs , EMotes, etc. hell even met a few friend on there that are still friends today in wow.
But wow just has that mix that was and is just perfect for me. Fast paced combat, Great looks and so much back story that i love to read.
The only onces i still play are OSRS and WOW. if those games were going to end or i was to bored to play. i would genually go single player games all the way and not look back to online. ofcourse with friends fun games and coop games. but not competitivly etc.

Classic is more of a mmo the servers are not linked so you can meet the same ppl and make a name for yourself on the server unlike the shared mess that is retail

It took me around 5 months to get my first lvl 60 in vanilla wow, (not classic).
Unfortunately, streamers have severely damaged the leveling experience; they are nothing more than filth and won't go away.
I don't really agree with that. Just because someone openly displays it on a stream doesn't mean others will follow suit. The advent of guides and exp/hour calculators are what drive the sweat.

Hahaha I knew it was rift. They nerfed my meta spec to the dirt for the 3rd time in 3 months and I peaced out of that game. Really wasn't a bad game or system at first. In China it's against the law to nerf you after you buy something.

I have quit WoW recently. Not because of the whole blizzard situation but because I just dont have the time to do what I would like to do in the game. I loved raid leading (even if people are stupid). I loved setting up raids and tanking them n stuff. Now I didnt like progession raiding but just raiding with a bunch of randoms that know the mechanics and just wanna chill in easy raids. Thats why I loved TBC so much. Because you could raid 25 mans and 10 mans easily. I like just having fun with people. I did it to a degree that I had enough characters to raid EVERY day. And I did. I raided 7 days a week in TBC. And when I just couldnt do that anymore I played less and less. It wasnt fun for me anymore. Yes I got max in Wrath within 6 hours of release solo leveling my Warrior and I cleared Naxx on release. but Ulduar and everything onward just wasnt fun because I didnt have time for it anymore. I would love to go back to TBC for that exact reason because I would level a character to 70 and raid 10 and 25 man every week and help people raid them because thats what I enjoy. I dont know if I'm the only one with that but thats how I feel about it.

Players who are raidloging only want to play the raids to collect gear so the raids won't take as long so they can log out faster again xD
To be honest, they should play retail... Classic is more about doing stuff in the open world: Player created content!! For example, look at Payo... he is always playing, pvping and trolling in the open world. Just go out there and get involved/make something happen. These players make the world feel alive and interesting. Raidlogers just go into instances and then they log out --> they are never really in the world and it's sad that this is the majority of the playerbase... But we can't really expect the majority of players being funny and creative enough to come up with their own content.. the majority want's just to consume fastfood and jerk off to dps numbers.

That's not a keyboard, that is an AMIGA 1200, a 90s homecomputer built (initially) by Commodore. It was brought to market a decade before WOW.

sod is designed to play alts ( outside of some outlier rune allocation issues) if you ran out of content you arent playing enough alts

Let's be honest aside from daily events that have a mount in their possible rewards and reputation (renown) tracks that are intentionally designed to take EONS to complete. Retail is just raidlogging too.... or if you hate yourself dungeonlogging (mythic+ noobs).

I'm not sure how to feel about people reminiscing over playing vanilla when they were 10 years old or so.. I think to fully appreciate the experience of hiding inside and being an addicted loser to WoW in 2005 you had to at least have had pubes.

WW is not considered boring by the majority of the players, just by looking at addon downloads.
Just leave actual Classic alone. Just cause some ppl don't want the later expansions doesn't mean we all don't.
Sidenote, just cause we played Vanilla first, doesn't mean we all like it most, I am 34 years old, I live in the UK and started playing WoW before it even hit Europe... I started in 2004 on Feathermoon US, and I can 100% acknowledge what nostalgia blindness is but I personally don't understand why people are this way... I look back on Vanilla WoW as the start of something great, not the only great thing.

People that say Vanilla was the best don't say it because of nostalgia, though. Even if they don't understand. There are massive game design differences between Vanilla and even WotLK. Sure, it's a preference thing, tho. Like what you like. I've always liked retail even in SL and definitely now but Vanilla is the best to me and not for nostalgia it's the best today
