Hey man, great benchmark I was thinking buying the same specs like you but I do a little bit of video editing do you think 7950x3D doing okay in light productivity work or should i get a 7950x (non-3D) and also can 7950x3D run 64gb 5600 MHz well? P/s: I mainly playing esports games like Valorant, Apex, COD,… etc
The 7950X3D is a little bit slower in productivity but a lot faster in gaming than the standard 7950X. I wouldn't trade it off as you can go back and see my old 7950X results in the older videos. I haven't tried 64GB but you could always go for 2x32GB or 2x24GB kits of RAM. From everything I've seen there are still issues running 4x sticks unless you run them stock and the kit was rated 5600MT (which may hinder some of your games). My other monitor is EOL so you can only buy it used or refurbished but I'm still rocking that Acer 270Hz in the description as the main
Yea I was on the fence between some more budget brands like Koouri (or however it's spelled) but the Black Friday deal made it a $60 difference. Next main monitor will likley be a 4K that can reproduce 1440P very well and has a high native refresh rate. Just know it's going to be a pretty penny and don't know enough about the burn-in potential of OLEDs

I don't play Resurgence much but even now I think Vondel is turned off isn't it? Either way there may be some Vondel footage from last season at least but this new update changed a lot under the hood including lower player counts so performance has been nuts

OFF - I will probably never trust that AMD won't get me banned brother lol. Might take a long time of seeing people play with it on (which is unlikely in the competitive scene), nothing happening to them, then I will venture to turn it on again because at first I was like "oh it's just CS players" then reports starting coming out about other engines and anticheats, something about the way it write the DLL. Over my head but I can' t be getting banned from the big 2-3 games I play
@@FIVESTRZ I'm with that, I have played with it on and haven't been banned lol but I was getting some crashes. Although I attribute the crashes to trying to use DDR5 6000 on an i7 12700kf. Still trying to figure that out with memory timings(Kind of a noob) so I went back to my DDR5 4800 for now and no more crashes with the 4800 or specifically a direct x error was what it said. I'm pretty much a COD only player myself and some Fortnite and a some others here and there, but I liked how the 6000 ran overall but just kept crashing COD.
@@sfricke33 You try some newer sticks? Or tweaking the voltage a little bit after flipping on XMP? That usually gives the little oomph needed for some basic stability testing
@@sfricke33 Also they took the feature out of the drivers I think around september october and reintroduced it recently in like a Nov/Dec driver update. It wasn't everyone but there were some crazy stories of people getting banned
I’m rotating the 7800 XT, 4080, and 4090 though the 7950X3D build for benchmarks. Getting GPUs out of the Corsair case is a pain. FPS should be just a little bit higher on this set up though.
I have a r7 7700x and 7800xt in mp I see 250+ fps avg but on this map I avg 160fps and sometimes the fps goes down when I select lower settings👀… if you have any recommendations please share my gpu utilization stays around 70% for this map and cpu utilization around 50%.
I would see about flipping onto a 7800X3D if gaming is your jam. It’s probably going to make the biggest difference off rip. I made a video about 2 weeks about Render worker count and things like that
Ive been thinking to upgrade my 5700xt and r5 3600. Im experiencing stuttering 90 fps down to 60fps in every 5 seconds. Does 7800xt have any stutter or frame drops?
Not in my experience for this game. You have to really be somewhere that is putting the card to work you know what I mean. Really fast CPU recommended or you end up in a bottleneck situation and not pushing this card in warzone
Yea the 5800X3D kicked off a great wave for gamers. I briefly swapped from the 5900X to that chip but with the return period decided to just step up into AM5. If you’re not trying to break the bank and aren’t using the extra 4 cores, a drop in 5800X3D upgrade would be nice, otherwise the 7800X3D/7950X3D are strong contenders
Lemme know what you get for performance. I've kicked around that card but there was no one covering the 7800 XT and I decided to snag one as my bottom of the AMD lineup
@@akusti1 Could be something crazy wrong like XMP not being enabled, settings all wonky, RAM or GPU in the incorrect slots, or an overheating CPU that's throttling.

i have the same cpu, gpu and 6000 mhz cl30 ram. at 1080p, i get 270-320 fps on the new map with everything on low. haven't tried vondel

99% of the time I do because MSI Afterburner doesn’t let you choose “fast timings” for memory and I don’t think it lets you tweak the fan curve either

I don't know, never had a 13400 but my guess is it would be a fair match with a slight CPU bottleneck depending on RAM

No, it will likely not be pushed hard enough by that CPU. 150-160 FPS maybe possible though. Then when you do a platform upgrade you’ll get more FPS
