The first minute and a half is a pretty good cover of the track BUT that bass riff starting at 1:41 marks the beginning of a TREMENDOUS piece. If the entirety of Zelda OOT's songs were replaced with insaneintherain's covers, imagine how much different the game would have to be to suit the tone it took on because of the music. Everything would have to change. Link's get-up would go from prehistoric skincloth to sharp 60's attire (rat-pack or beatnik perhaps?), but his hat would already be on the mark, assuming the clothes were rat-pack style (40's or Dick Tracey-style) save for the feather; epona wouldn't be a horse but, rather, a sleek convertible ("the Epona LX. . . "); you would acquire novels and poems rather than, respectively, skulltullas and poes; hyrule would have to become a classy metropolitan center; and Navi would take the form of a Siamese cat or foo-fooey breed of canine. :-)

Was I the only one who thought the sax solo was super reminiscent of John Coltrane? That 's 100% a compliment!

This song has always been special to me. When I was like 8, I decided to learn this on the piano, but I couldn't get the syncopation between the melody and chords so I got my friend to learn it and we played it as a duet in the school talent show.
Can't remember if we won, but I eventually remembered how to play it, chords and all.

Carlos, this is such a cool way of seeing how much your musical chops have grown since your Song of Storms video years back!
6:02 , after all that awesome dissonance, when you came back in 5/4? Sooooo good. Amazing work!

So I was watching a trackmania streamer here on YT, Wirtual. Hes always got some bangers playing in the background. I heard some strange version of song of storms in the background that I was totally vibing to. I turned my PC volume as high as it goes, and opened shazam on my phone. And it brought me here. You sir, are an incredible multi-instrumentalist! I will be going through all your stuff after this. Thanks for this and keep doing you!

I really love this cover!! One of my favorite songs from OoT!! I absolutely loved the mess of notes and how it represented as the peak of the storm, it was so unique!! I love all the twists you put in this awesome cover!! Great work!
