Nas's last 3 albums are being a bit overrated because, well, it's Nas lol. KD2 was aiiiight. The Kanye album and Lost tapes 2 were both weak as well. KD1 & Magic were both dope tho. Jay dropping a couple of verses and putting the game in a frenzy speaks volumes about who has more impact. If we're talking 'best' impact matters. I don't think Joe was completely out of pocket on that. I see both sides tho.

Was too many answers based on they didn't come out this year or someone else came out more recently. Why not make a list called best albums or verses this month/week if that's gonna be the argument.

Jay's raps on 4:44, that Jay Elec joint and his features these last few years are just at a higher level than Nas's joints. Back in the day, Nas was WAY sharper lyrically and it was debatable then. Not anymore.

Lol this is so bias. Hov literally has 2 verses. I love Hov but he should not be on this list, because everyone bias kicks in. I liken it to the years that lebron was playing really well but in the east with no competition and everyone was saying he should be nba mvp. Im sorry but a lot of these guys created some of the best bodies of work in hip hop history. Future able is phenomenal and he should be doing that at almost 40, Pusha T had one of the best street albums in the last few years, J Cole album was masterpiece, Kendrick album was a walk through self reflection and therapy which we needed etc. Hov spit for 4 mins on a subpar beat that was on loop, it was more like spoken word. It was a great verse but nowhere near his best verse.
