ONE MONTH WITHOUT SMOKING WEED!!! [PROS + CONS]

  • My personal pros and cons I experienced giving up weed during my first month of sobriety. This includes some advice as well as ways to overcome your cravings. I didn't realize how powerful "mindset" can actually be, until I labeled myself mentally as a "non-smoker" and started thinking positive "non-smoker" thoughts. I hope this video helps someone!

The biggest hurdle for me was feeling so bored at night when I was by myself. I was so used to smoking up and listening to music or watching something and the weed made it 10x better or more real if that makes sense. I learned how important it is to not get so used to the “weed brain” way of experiencing things and appreciate moments while sober.

Strong mind... I gave up weed, cigarettes, processed foods and sex as a pleasure for 5 months. I drank only fruit juices and its a whole different dimension... Weve been conditioned to do all these hedonistic moves like drinking a soda or what not, but once you come to a tree for food, as force above intended for us, no amount of weed can match that happiness or mental clarity... i had 3 dreams a night, where i can remember every detail and scene vividly and all the pros i cannot put into words... The truth is inside of us and dry fasting is epiphany

Start working out , don't go full in if you are used to not being active, go for a 30 min walk at the park , the next day go 35 and so on . Later you can start running ( you can find any kind of cardio you like . Swimming , cycling and so on . Make it fun it's important.) and powerlifting or even bodyweight exercises in the park . Working out makes endorphins in your brain , and dopamine. It will help you get out all your energy into sometimes else . If you start working out your body will get used to it and will eventually will ask you to do so to get those endorphins . And remember my friends , you are not a loser if you lost a battle, you are figting a war . Don't give up.

Day 40 or so...i went broke bec of pandemic. So guess what...thats how i stopped. I cant explain to you how bad the first 6 days was w/ out it & i was a daily smoker for 2years. After 6 days...got the nightmares of hell again. after i got to 21 days...i became basically at a sense of relief...i faced the music in a sense. im now normal again...i would love to be able to have a blunt. but the pandemic prices on ganja now is through the roof. ...i would be stoned hardcore i know it. But this goes to say....i literally had to go broke....to see the bigger picture. I LITERALLY FEEL GREAT NOW...it comes to mind but im like ehh o well. Im thankful for these t break videos man. I was at 3 weeks clean earlier this year but decided to smoke when I visited home with a old friend. Had little to no cravings in this time so I thought it'd be fine but I feel right back into getting high all the time.
Idk why I smoke tbh. I get anxious, dizzy, bored and don't sleep as well. I track my sleep so this is not just subjective. More than likely nostalgia and not being able to let go.
I'm just finishing day 4 again. Just like last time I feel better and have been sleeping better. I watch videos like these since they help me stay away from bud. Shits hard to quit even when you don't like being high anymore!

I'm on my 3rd day without smoking any weed or drinking any coffee (caffeine). This is not by choice; I had my wisdom teeth pulled this past Wednesday, so no smoking or hot coffee for me. I have noticed, even in this short break, I feel so much more rested after waking up, and less groggy. So much so, I don't even feel compelled to head straight to my coffee machine. I also have been experiencing multiple vivid dreams a night, whereas before I would go to sleep feeling foggy from the bong and no such dreams would occur. I am not here, because I am actively trying to stop smoking. I am here, because whether I like it or not, I have been experiencing the pros of not smoking weed. Thanks for sharing your experience with this, mate. I definitely benefit from hearing your story.

I quit weed, alcohol, nicotine (I’d smoke when drinking sometimes), and caffeine for a few days. It’s been five days now and I already feel the irritability. What I used that was very helpful is naps during the day, drinking water, pineapple skins for teas, push-ups, and breathing exercises (Wim Hof hybrid method on RUclips). My energy levels seem higher now than as if I was high. I love that I feel everything, very raw. If you can reach out to friends or random friendly strangers, do it. It helps get perspective on life from others to drive you through this journey. Hope this helps.

I only smoke blunts for the past 5 years. I started vaping in hopes that it will help me quit weed. It’s a bad to switch one habit to the other but it’s a step👍🏽

  • @jamestompkins2669

Nice work buddy. You know it’s funny... I’ve smoked for about 16 years straight since I was 17 every day, I’m 33 now... and have only quit on my own free will one time. This is the 2nd. First time was a couple years ago... I truly wanted to quit so bad for years I would tell myself ok ima smoke all my weed tonight and quit tomorrow. Then I would wake up mad and not be able to control my addiction give in, go buy weed and then smoke and feel guilty. It’s funny because when you’re young in your addiction, you feel no guilt, you think you’re gonna smoke weed for the rest of your life. Until you realize, you’re not where you want to be at this point in life. Not following your dreams, not what you envisioned. When you get to this stage, at least for me... you feel guilty every time you smoke. Well the last time I quit, I did amazing... for about 9 months I turned down everything had great control, and I don’t know why but one day I thought I could smoke a little to deal with some stress, which I did.. didn’t even enjoy it actually hated the feeling cuz I was so high and had no control over my mind.. but for some stupid reason.. I smoke again a few days later way less. Long story short, I turned into a full blown pot head again... even started growing! At this point, I was smoking so much I was comatosed every day couldn’t even function...and was depressed af just not getting shit done. Luckily I’m doing well financially and got into day trading and learned the ropes of that, but I know without the weed I can just LIVE SO MUCH BETTER. Well I wanna tell you and anyone else reading this.... the ONE thing that helped me quit last time, as well as this time (1 week clean again) was actually watching and listening to videos of people going through the same exact thing. And like you said, when you change your perception about what it is to quit, and think of it as something great... this is what changed everything for me. One video in particular I’m sure you’ve seen it... 60 reasons to quit smoking weed by Tristan W. When I actually listened to ALL the benefits and things I would gain from quitting it changed my whole outlook on quitting. And as I would watch videos like this of people who have kicked the habit and feel amazing, it really gives you another outlook on life. I have invested in an entire production studio, thousands in camera gear, recording equipment all to follow my passion, and was so fucking lazy I wasn’t getting what I wanted to get done. And after discovering and falling in love with the sport of skydiving... I decided that’s it. I’m done for good. Jumping out of a plane was one of the most amazing things ever, and now wanting to get my license and eventually my own gear.. well that’s about 10K just in itself. I’m so done with smoking this time. I’ve been coughing up the nastiest shit the last week, finally not as much.. but I just wanted to say you’re doing a great thing making videos like this for people who just don’t really know how or have been stuck in the weed loop. Like you said it works for some people, but when it doesn’t work for you, you know it. You feel it. And I think the easiest way to help someone quit is to change their perspective on what quitting will bring into your life in the short/long term as you said.. as well as watching videos on RUclips of other people who have quit and seem amazing benefits/life changes. I still chain vape all day on my vape juice which is next. I want to quit vaping so bad because I get heart burn from vaping so much it’s literally as if I can’t put the damn thing down. I seen you made some video about quitting vaping or something so I’m gonna go watch that now. Hope all is well with ya buddy and if you even were able to read this whole long story of a book I commented I appreciate it lol. Stay up bro

Same history here. I'm 30, and i've been chained to weed since I was 16. Several tries of quiting in the past but never realy picturing myself living without weed for the rest of my life.
This time I feel is for real. I've been holding myself to only getting high at nightime with the excuse that it helps me sleep well, but I spend the hole day craving for nightime to arrive. It lost it's magic long time ago. Feels more like weed is using my more than the oposite.
Today is one week clean, It's been a hard one. 4 to 5 lucid dreams and nightmares a day, bad mood, strong cravings for getting high.
For me what has really helped this time is to give away all my weed so I can't set an excuse and use it.
Hopefully I'll be a dad soon. Really needing this change.
¡Congrats to everybody getting out of the weedloop!

Today is my last day before quitting. I’ve been smoking everyday for the past 4 years. Nicotine and weed. I quit nicotine a few days ago and now I am weed. Weed is a wonderful thing, but unfortunately it took all my motivation and drive away and just made me lazy. Used to be in sports and very active. Now I just sit behind a TV all day. I’m excited for this journey. Wish me luck fellas.

daily toker since 2013. it went from fun to addiction around 2 years ago. I don't think I'll ever give it up. not because addiction issues but purely because it's helped me with a lot of growth in life, i've weaved myself out a lot of internal situations because of 420. because of 420 I have a new career path, i'm out of a relationship I wasn't aiming for, personally I'm a better human, i'm more spiritual than ever. those are the positives. negatives? I get stuck blanking out, I eat like trash because of the food cravings, the paranoia 420 can give you when you first take a hit, the negativity that follows that initial hit, time flies when you're high, sativas and indicas had no real difference, the most telling point i needed to stop was when I didn't care that I was using the ATM. when you start throwing away $3 on top of the purchase just to get a fix is when you gotta break away for a bit.
success is built off of habits. that's all a great life is. the right habits. i'll forever love what 420 has done to me. I can 100& say that 420 has made me an incredible human being. but ever since the paranoia kicked in and overuse of ATMs i had to take a break.
thx for this video. to anyone out there............... YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE IT UP 100. life is great in any perspective sober or stoned. but when "IT" controls you, you gotta correct that. IT can be anything from food cravings to "IT" cravings. peace

The message I got from weed- 2017 sophomore year in highschool 178 lbs 6ft qb already had 2 promise letters to colleges & everything going for my self. Transfers schools smokes weed junior year becomes everyday smoking led to skipping school led to dropping out led to 23 no degree have to be around people you don’t like has to work everyday for the man who went to school who sits and does little to nothing… my message was it controlled me to the point where I feel like it was yesterday whenever I was in high school when reality it was 5 years ago. Weed has kept me in the same state as I picked it up in 2017 and I seen it did the same to others I grew up with who picked it up like how I did
