Replaced it with something I love - history, traveled to Italy on a historical tour for 10 days and didn't even had time to understand if I miss it or not, I was eating a lot(love italian food) I guess if you try to quit and stay at home not doing anything pleasant it will be very hard as we are "animals" of the habit.

Going to work while smoking a spliff, smoked 2 spliffs at work, after i finished I went to the gym with a spliff, finished, go back home with a spliff. Cooking some dinner for wife and kid, when finished started smoking again. Iam living in the Netherlands close to several coffeeshops and to be honest. I hate my life now. I’ve been smoking weed everyday since 15 (I’m 25). Now It’s turned me into a skittish, antisocial and anxiety induced person. Every time I quit, I have nightmares wake up in sweat and often have panic attacks (i’ve noticed the panic attacks come after weeks of dab pen use). It’s kinda ruined my sex life with the anxiety... (a doctor would put me on pills right away but I will never do that)… I’ve been clean for about a week now and the crippling anxiety is starting to go away, and I feel like I’m seeing in 20/20 vision finally now.. going to the gym and picking up new hobbies help :) I feel like I’m closer to God as well. (No wonder the government is pushing weed on us all of a sudden).. For years, my aggression was gone because I was high every day. I would let people walk all over me. For young men, drive is important for career, relationships and life. Just 1 week and Im confident around new people, I don’t overthink and I feel sharper at work (I work in sales). I can’t wait for 30 days clean. I feel like my T-levels have risen just from 1 week of no weed.. it’s crazy how this is advertised as some kind of miracle drug. As someone who’s been using it for over a decade let me tell you it’s no miracle and I would be further in life if I never started. Thank you God for giving me the panic attacks to show me this
    2.5 week update :
I’ve been waking up nearly every night in cold sweats from very very vivid dreams (and nightmares). Also noticed waves of anxiety at random times during the day - I have to channel it into music, working out, or creativity. Lost about 5lbs from lack of appetite, but the gym is keeping me in great shape at least.. some positive things : I’m a lot more focused at work, hobbies interest me, I’m sticking to a workout plan and feeling strong and I feel a much deeper connection to my family and the wonderful woman I’ve been talking to. I also noticed I’m a lot more emotional, in a good way.

Really wish i had the same experience. But my story is a little different. My girlfriend of 5 years decided to leave me on january 8th, 2023. I decided to quit smoking right then and there after smoking for 14 years. I started when i was 12 years old and im 25 now. The loss of my ex while also quitting weed has been a mental blow like no other. I dont know if it was very wise to stop at the same time as a breakup, but its just the choice i made because i feel i really need to get my life together now more than ever. This last month and a half i have not felt much of a difference from quitting weed. Im slightly better mentally, but the depression and the anxiety is still a very big part of my day. My appetite has not returned and i have honestly probably gained a eating disorder from this experience. I cannot eat enough food as a 6'5 tall and somewhat skinnier build. Ive lost all the fat i had which took me years to gain. I have now lost about 35 pounds total. Maybe a little more. I feel hopeless at times and slightly better in other moments. This pain is something i really wouldnt wish on another human it is so debilitating. My only hope in the world that i have left, is that maybe if i get to month 3 4 or 5, maybe things will start getting better. Maybe the light is at the end of the tunnel, but my tunnel is longer due to the mixture of a breakup and ending a extremely big addiction to dabbing and smoking flower. I was going through a gram of rosin a day just about. I was so mentally unstable before i quit and i definitely have more clarity then i did before i quit, but the sharp pain in my chest and the vivid dreams of my ex consume me. Im having all these vivid nightmares and a lot involve this girl. Which makes it so hard when i wake up and realize that this is reality and i will never be with her again. Its so painful i almost wish i didnt have dreams. But this is how life is now and im going to keep pressing on and fighting this battle. One of the hardest things ive had to do. Ive quit weed for months at a time before and felt so many benefits even from a single month of being sober. This is different though. Its been a constant struggle for the past like 45 days. Just constant torment that doesnt seem to lesson with the days ahead. I hope and wish with every fiber of my being to experience some relief in the coming months..

I quit over 6 months ago cold turkey and it was so easy. The withdraw symptoms were more about routines and not so much physical. Before I quit I didn’t have motivation issues or have lack of exercise, or loss of appetite. I did have severe anxiety and paranoia and always would feel like I wish I didn’t smoke out. The anxiety and paranoia would basically make me paralyzed to do social things so I basically became a hermit who felt a lot of shame about my smoking weed. I am doing so much better with making plans with people but still have a long way to go. Definitely the best decision I made was to quit and it improved my well being so much. Best of all this change cost nothing and had only positive side effects. My best to all of you on this journey.

What really helped me the most is staying active and not letting myself sit at home bored dwelling on the fact that I want to smoke but can't. Been doing recreational activities and chores like mad as well as focusing more on my work seems to have helped a ton with the entire process.

@@fsully3379 Last time I tried I had the same feeling. For me I think it has to do with habits and motivation. I mean I like to study and do some work everyday but always while smoking.
If I try to stop and I know I am not going to smoke I become even more lazy, not wanting to study, work, or get out of bed. Without thc my brain is probably still looking for stimuli which it is not getting and so it does revert back to wasting time on social media (which is known for killing concentration capabilities).
As the guy said keep pushing and try to stimulate yourself by doing recreational activities which are actually good for you (or at least not detrimental as wasting time on social media). At least you'll enjoy your time as sober.
Eventually I think you'll concentrate better than when having thc costantly in your brain.

I’ve noticed in the last year or so, it’s been harder to get that same sensation as being “high”. I think for me, I just want to be more successful and more present in the moment. Day 4 today. Sleeps been crap, but I know in the end, it’ll be so worth it. Coming from a guy who loves to smoke, says a lot.

For some reason the high didn't feel nearly as strong with those supplements. It helped me stop cannabis because here I was feeling almost as good as when I was high...but I was sober and just lacking nutrients.
I'm going to get my blood test done and actually see what nutrients and minerals I'm deficient in. Then I'll supplement for those. I highly consider you explore that route. Gary Brecka has some good information - same with Andrew Huberman.

Best advice I can give to anybody quitting is this: Get up as early as you can every single day (I did 4:30am) and go to bed around 10pm on a full stomach. @The OtterBon being around it every day causes me to miss it. But sobriety is simply better. I personally am a better person when not smoking. I care and feel more and have better clarity in life. My relationships have improved after quitting. Life is just brighter, my body is healthier and I'm easily more productive. It's like transitioning from standard definition TV to 4K. You get to experience that 4K everyday. Or switching from dial up internet to high speed cable. Sobriety is just better and life is more beautiful.
Weed numbs and dulls your life in ways you may not have even anticipated. So stay true to the course! After those two weeks, your sleep schedule will normalize. If the withdrawal symptoms are kicking your ass, take an Alive. I personally don't like pills but an occasional Alive was a lifesaver. It helps with the mental symptoms far better than any Ibuprofen or Tylenol. You can do this man. Love yourself enough to do it. Something I learned from Dr. Joe Dispenza. Loving yourself enough to do it is worth it. You owe it to yourself.

I’ve been smoking cannabis for over 10 years and just recently decided to make the internal decision to start a new chapter without smoking. I’ve stopped smoking a handful of times and the longest I’ve gone without consuming cannabis in the past decade was 90 days (consecutively). I remember those days, they were fun and clear and exciting. The only reason I started smoking again was because I quit for my ex-girlfriend aka (external reason). Now a couple years have passed and I’m back at square one again. I’d like to point out that I don’t guilt myself for returning to smoking weed like how did but It’s day 3 now of sobriety and I have to say that all of the described withdraw symptoms are my reality at the moment. The key motivator for me during these challenging times is that I know there is a better life than smoking weed everyday and getting high. It’s my internal decision to stay committed to sobriety and health. One day I’ll be able to tell a young soul to not spend too much time smoking away there youth. Life is too short and too beautiful to have an addiction to cannabis. Stay positive everyone. I’m routing for y’all . 😀

I have been smoking for the past 10 years pretty much each day. I had a one year break in between and maybe weeks, months of not smoking trying to stop. Last year I really made it more of a goal to stop but I also was going through some hard things and kept relapsing. Like you said, it helps with trauma and not dealing with things. Since the 23rd of december I haven't had a smoke, so a good month now and I plan on sticking to it. I feel different like I can finally do it. I smoked in the evenings mostly to deal with anxiety and loneliness but now I think I am at the point where I can deal with my negative feelings coming up and am motivated to stay clean. Now I also have a clear head and energy in the evenings so I am wondering about a rutine I could set up for myself that would help me stay on track and to have some quality time before bed.

@@BreckenridgeCoHomes I would say it is going good. I didn't smoke for 6 months at all but then I did get tempted and smoked a couple of times. I really wanted to see how I will feel and also just wanted to smoke again. It was ok, I don't think I will ever give up psychedelics because for me they are also tools for self-work but at the same time I saw the bad sides of weed. It makes me sluggish and kind of "sticky" and makes me anxious the next day. ATM I don't really see myself going back to smoking on a daily basis. I have never been a drinker but now I also stay away from alcohol and even gave up drinking coffee. I don't know if I have ever been so "clean" in my life and it's a good feeling.

I was being very lazy, gained a lot of weight, wasn’t eating or sleeping right and became a miserable person, I stopped doing things I enjoyed, avoided social situations, ruined relationships and friendships and would turn to smoking to make me feel better! The insomnia, nausea, anxiety and depression is real, it hurts but I know this pain is temporary and I look forward to many good days ahead! If you’re thinking about quitting do it, I know I made the right choice! Good luck to everyone on their journey to sobriety!

Dreaming comes back with a vengeance, but this is good. It's very healthy to dream. It's the only natural form of altering your consciousness and I believe they have a healing aspect to them. For me THC blocks me from dreaming or being able to recall them in anyway. Returning to dreaming is incredibly life changing, at first it will feel like when you first had dreams as a little kid or toddler though. It's honestly one of the most fascinating aspects of this drug and I'm surprised it's not discussed more. If you've recently quit from long term use you're potentially in for some very interesting dreams that will stay with you most of your day.

A good method if you are a heavy smoker for tapering (this is perfect for someone who smokes round the clock)
Make cut off times for each day. Cut off by 2 hours a day. So if you usually stop smoking at say 9pm, day 1 cut off at 9pm. Then next day minus 2 hours 7pm. Keep going until you are taking your LAST toke
I find this less overwhelming than quitting all at once, as the withdrawals won’t be as intense.

I’ve been a daily smoker past 18 years , I have been through withdrawal before , but at 39 I have just been through the most difficult withdrawal of cannabis which made me realise how dangerous this drug is to the human body , hospitalised with heart Arrhythmia the past 2 days . It’s been an absolute nightmare . Things are starting to settle but it’s taking my body time to heal and rest . Insomnia is bad but time will heal eventually. I truly have always been a cannabis lover and only bought a new stash of medicinal last week for $380 and had a really bad panic attack and paranoia the last few sessions. Once I’m truly over this I’m gonna flush this crap down the toilet where it belongs and never look back

Now it has been 2 weeks since I stopped smoking weed so far, the first days I had sweat a lot during the nights, had problems to sleep, had nightmares too! (Haven’t dream in sooooo long) .. so in order not to consume again, I have deleted the phone number of my dealer, blocked him everywhere on social media so that I force myself not to contact him to get weed, I threw away all grinders, OCB papers, lighters, etc. I’m trying really hard this time .. gotta say that I feel much better now, I don’t eat as before, in fact my appetite has lowered down by a lot, I feel with more energy too. From time to time I get anxious because smoking became an habit in my life, so when I feel that way, I Just occupy my time by playing guitar or running to exhaust the anxiety. 2 years sinking into Fentanyl. I lost my job and went to live in a tent. I stayed for another 6 months until I lost all my veins and started injecting into the groin arteries. There were 7 overdoses, 2 cardiac arrests and 1 heart attack. I was hospitalized after making the decision to stop that hell once and for all. I decided that I would stick with abstinence and that if I was going to die, I would die trying to get out of it. Today I say, marijuana is a holy medicine if used correctly. I've been clean for 1 year, in April it will be 2 years, and only using marijuana on my days off from work. Don't use drugs, in any way, don't want to experience this damn dirty world. But as a former opium addict, I can say with all certainty in this world, those who know how to dose cannabis will not become addicted. I mean legit cannabis, not that Spice shit! Smoke a green one when you have no obligations and cling to God. Marijuana is not a drug, using marijuana correctly is a holy medicine.

Day 3 and no appetite and I haven’t slept for all 3 days. My eyes hurt and I feel like I have the flu. Irritated with pretty much everything. This quitting s**t sucks.

Started age 16 and now at age 22 I decided to make a change. After half a year of not lighting it up I experienced being able to eat properly again, that hunger for life coming back, sleeping better, and most importantly, and for me personally the best part of quitting, memories coming back.
I used weed to numb myself of uncomfortable emotions and memories, but due to quitting and these things coming back to the surface, I was able to deal with them better, gaining better insight into myself and growing as a person.
Always keep in the back of your mind the withdrawal symptoms are just temporary, not permanent.
Good video, it resonates alot with me 👍

Thanks for sharing man. I first smoked at 16 and quit at 22 too. Great year for it. The less years of issues to deal with the better.
Respect your mindset behind this. That you’re willing to face the pain and are aware of the benefits that will come from going through the pain.
Thanks for the support and keep in touch.

@@jordanmarazzi3548 Thanks bro, I wish you all the best.
Important is to keep at it and give in to it as little as possible. If you relapse once it's not completeley over, it's part of the journey.
It only becomes problematic if you start doing it everyday, thats how i see it.

It's ok to take breaks from weed to reset the body. Just remember once your tolerance drops and you smoke again it's like you smoked for the first time all over again. If you love it treat it like it's special for special holidays or moments.

I used to hit a vape pen daily after work and on the weekend. After a couple of years and bettering myself, I naturally quit and never looked back. That was 3 years ago. Also quit drinking and all other drugs that I would partake in from time to time. Most drugs do nothing but destroy your brain and body. Keep spreading this positive message 👏

I smoked for 25 years and decided to quit after seeing my colleague develop cancer from smoking tobacco. I transitioned from smoking to vaping dry herb, completely eliminating tobacco from my routine. This change has been transformative. Previously smoking 3 grams a day, I now vape only 1 gram, and the impact on my health is evident-I can now walk for hours and recently completed a 30 km trail a month ago! For those who enjoy using weed and want to continue, I highly recommend switching to dry herb vaporizers (specifically, not the cartridge ones but the dry herb ones). It not only enhances your experience but also saves a significant amount of money!

You are right about how it tranquilizes you and your motivation though. I personally think life is a piece of 💩 and we do what we can to cope. Being “high on life” never worked for me that’s why the escape….

Awesome video man. Stuff like this helps a lot. Some people are entirely fed up with their addiction to weed. It’s never really as good or cool as people make it out to be. If it is sucking the life out of you…and you know it…quitting and dealing with pain for a few weeks is entirely better than suffering for years and years ahead.

For me it gets rid of the perpetual anxiety such as communicating with people, and increases motivation.... I should say, the marijuana can make you anxious about passing things like walking through the mall... seriously, and I've been a daily smoker for years... having said that I'm only 2 days clean but have taken months off in the past.

I found that I would crave really carb and and really sugary foods when I used to smoke because those foods tasted the best and I also thing psychologically there is a correlation between the two as well. My problem is that I am intolerant to those kinds of food and I would end up getting really sick which made me feel even worse. Just by stopping smoking I didn't have any issues with being able to eat but I went back to being pescatarian and I have lost over 20 lbs pretty effortlessly just by simply going back to my diet where I eat as little inflammatory foods as possible to avoid getting sick. Regardless of where you are on your journey - you're doing great! keep it going. And remember, if you fall off the horse that is completely okay. Just make sure you get back up and keep on going. You got this!

Been smoking daily for almost a decade. I'm 26 now and just quit (unintentionally) 11 days ago. I enrolled in community college a couple months ago and had trouble studying/staying focused but didn't once think about qutting weed. Since I stopped 11 days ago, reading and studying has been easier and memory has also improved. Although I do feel anxious at times and I can't sleep at night, I have so many goals and aspirations that I'm excited to chase now that I have that drive again.
