Thanks for the review, I'm a long term user of the Senheisiers. I've tried lots of others over the years and only a couple of pairs drew me away.... but as soon as I put them on again I wondered why the hell I stopped using them. Fiio make a lot of great stuff but I'm sticking with the Senheisiers.
Fair enough! IMO the Senns are still ahead.
I have been waiting for this video since I spotted the headphones in one of your recent vids👀 I am seriously considering gifting myself a pair of ft3 for Christmas
Go for it! You will feel satisfied as soon as you open the box.
@@PrimeAudioReviews yeah. I have been a speaker enthusiast for all my life. Picked it up from my father. But recently moved into a smaller apartment and work late hours. So I don't feel like I can't blast my big floor standers😅 and these with a proper amp for music and lite gaming seems like a good fit 🤔
I just got these and they have really good sound, the large drivers help with the bass, the detail is extremely good. I have HD800 and Arya Stealth V3 and I like the Ft3 as my third unit. Better than my HD6XX, the headphone experts rated the 6xx very high. The pads are a bit tight in the ear hole, but ok.
I received my 350 ohm's today from a seller on ebay for $209.99 (open box). Came with the same cable but no velvet outer pouch. I think they sound great so far especially with hi-rez edm.
Subscribed! May I ask what budget IEMs do you recommend for a nice v-shape sound signature and soundstage? $50 below. Thanks!
Simgot EW200.
I can buy hd650 or ft3 in the same price (or little more expensive Ananda Stealth/Edition XS, but there is a risk...). I already ordered shanling up4. Does it have enough power for sennheiser? Should I have balanced cable for 650? Which one would be better all rounder, for classic, jazz, electronic etc?
I haven't tried Ananda. I prefer HD650 over the ft3. The up4 can drive them but you might burn through the battery faster - it depends on how loud you listen.
Is the headphone devoid of brightness or sharpness in the sound? Is it good? Hidiz MS2
I'm pretty sure I covered that. Not sure why you mentioned the MS2 here?
The plastic'ky Sennheisers look kinda crap next to those) Used to own HD650's for quite some time, what a great pair of headphones, I thought, till one fine day they broke in half right on my head. After paying a ridiculous amount of money for the spare headband to do repairs, I bid them farewell, and stayed away from their products ever since. Absolutely trash build quality for a hefty price:/ Been into Beyerdynamic ever since, absolutely "tank" build quality even in midrange products like 770's 880's and 990's, totally affordable and easy to replace accessories, without ripping you off on those, like the other big "pro" brands do. Those FiiO phones also seem to be that kind of product, which is totally appealing. The packaging and the accessory set bundled is simply gorgeous👍
Thanks for the review, I totally feel like they're worth checking out.
Yes, these seem to be built rock-solid. You're right about the Beyers too--my DT990 Pros are still going strong after 7 years!
@PrimeAudioReviews Yep, I've been owning my 880Pro for 12 years now..still rocking. What's great about them you can order pretty much any spare part, in case something wears out from use, or requires repairing, and they cost just laughably low, compared to the others. I've never seen a headphone brand that much user friendly)
i have already the HD660s. is worth to replace it with this FiiO FT3?
More of a side-grade so if the tonality suits you, it may end up being worth it 👍
@@guatobean2869 mmm i dont know, maybe i need to try them before judge if i like or not.. HD660s like them a lot for the details and vocals, but it lacks some of punch and depth bass.
Only if you want something a little brighter and tighter. I still prefer my HD650.
does ft3 with extensive eqing beat the sennies?
I can't really say without testing the exact EQ you would choose. They sound very different from my Sennies but I love both.
@@PrimeAudioReviews which one do you think is more resolving and has more microdetails?

Looks vaguely authoritarian in a 1940s way. How does Wagner sound on it? 🤔
I assume it would sound pretty good. It does nicely with classical music.
Funny, that's exactly what I thought, too when I saw the thumbnail 😅
@@rem792 Good to know it’s not just me. Personally I’d prefer one that vaguely resembled a peace sign. 🙂
@@GadZookz Haha!
