I had this guitar for like 7 years now. At the begining I had problems with the electric part of the tone knob. But I was able to fix it just looking at RUclips videos and hadn't had a problem since. It's an amazing guitar and great value! I love it! I recommend it.
I have the same guitar and notice a volume drop when toggling between humbucker and single coil with the 5-way on the bridge pickup. Other videos/reviews have not mentioned this. Thanks.
I have one in the transparent black and it plays and feels fantastic. I got mine used and one of the pots was bad but it was a fast repair. Im still not very good at guitar but I can tell what feels good. Lots of people will turn up their nose at the "made in china" but i have a mexican tele and I play this one more.
Tengo una duda.... Entonces no se puede usar el pickup del neck junto con el de bridge?.... Significaría que le falta el sonido principal de una telecaster
I own one of these - Fender Modern Player Telecaster --- it looks exactly like the image here and it's better than the new ULTRA, I love the splitter switch on the HSS and 5 way switch
I have a modern player Stratocaster, excellent neck, plays well, sounds good, spray not as good as made in USA , but it's so cheap to buy and says Fender, it is a Fender, really good cheap guitar really excellent value
@@cadaudioguitars2898 I'm like you, I love the neck pickup with a nice punchy clean tone, it's great for those percussive funky chord chops & also with a little bit of boost that Hendrixy wind cries mary vibe, I also like the out of phase position between the middle & the neck for those Gilmouresque lead tones 😎
@@cadaudioguitars2898 Unfortunately I somehow managed to knock a dining room room chair over whilst mine was on the floor & it dented the lacquer on the second fret, I'm in 2 minds as to trying to get the lacquer repaired or just strip it all off for a satin finish neck 😬
Yeah rite fender mexico slams these things together like big macs at mcdonalds The build aint bad ,But be prepared to finish the frets and change the pickups.Ive done went down that road with mex standard and players ,Youll pay 800 but when its all said and done,Youll have 1000 in it.
The modern player telecaster is made in China not Mexico' they are as good as and better than most MIM telecaster guitars. The biggest down side to them is the bridge HB pickup which can be replaced for $100.00 or less/ fender locking tuners $65.00. The neck is as good quality as an American made tele and better than some. They were selling for around $450.00/$500.00 when they first came out. The modern player was discontinued in 2014. Maybe you're thinking about another guitar or got a lemon when you bought one back then to start with or a used one?
I have this same guitar. It is excellent! You did an awesome job of reviewing this guitar. I have to go play mine now!!
It’s very versatile guitar and affordable 😎😎
I have this exact model, and love it. The neck is so, so nice. Versatility wise it's outstanding. Great job showing it off and demoing tones
It’s a fantastic guitar! One of the most comfortable as well
My neck has aged and has a warm tinted look to it, looks almost roasted. I own 7 others and this is the one I usually have the most fun with.

I bought a beautiful one that came with neck and bridge Humbuckers. I put Seymour Dumcan Pearly Gates and WOW !!!!!.
Great review. Looking at getting one of these. Thanks for posting this.
Awesome! It’s a fantastic guitar for the price point for sure! If you go through with it lemme know how you like it

@@gabrielespinoza616 hi Gabriel. I bought one a few weeks ago and love it. Lots of tone options.
@@timleem3609 nice brother! Enjoy! It's a wonderful guitar.
Had one of these in storage for a few years, you just convinced me to unpack it at 9.56.
It’s a fantastic guitar
Picked up the charcoal black used in mint shape 350. With new case
man your like to only reviewer to get some real good samples of the kind of sound the guitar can get. thank you!🙏

It is a fantastic guitar, I play my classic vibe tele mostly but this is a beautiful instrument

It’s a fantastic guitar. I no longer have it in my collection, but it was amazing
I have the same guitar but sadly it broke the neck and haven’t find anything cheap for replacement sadly

The little switch is called a "coil tap" essentially splits the humbucker into a single coil pickup
Awesome thanks! Also thanks for checking out the video!
@@cadaudioguitars2898 I only know because I have the same model (but in the transparent charcoal) 😉😎

I wish they still made those..
Did they stop?? I wasn’t aware 🫣
@CAD Audio & Guitars sadly yes. I would have got one by now otherwise
Made from 2011 discontinued 2018.
I've heard some say that this guitar has intonation problems due to it's pine body. Have you experienced any issues?
Nice
Hi! Is that possible to play metal with the humbucker?
Absolutely it is. I’d say it’s preferable since it eliminates the hiss
Is the back of the neck gloss or satin?

The pickups on mine don't sound anywhere NEAR that good. :/
Probably just how i have my amp settings and pedals. Unfortunately I do not remember what they were 😕
I have one for sale.
